Its dynamic server gridding. The towns are their own separate servers, so they will have a queue if too many people try to access that server at the same time, whilst surrounding server workers can be totally fine.
This is intended design.

The intended design is to allow servers outside the "hotspots" to work instead of having a general queue for the entire main server. This will also improve server performance when large groups of players move in the world. A slight side-effect of dynamic server gridding is that these hotspots will have queues when they get flooded by large amount of players.

Trade Bureau jumping from giving two points to giving one point to not giving any point. This bug has been in the game the entirety of last phase!

I moved from Anvils to Riverlands and is so much better. EU Anvils anyway nothing is developed, market is dry as hell, loads more pvp/gankers in Anvils killing new players, Riverlands players also group up more, more friendly and move activities/groups going on. Better for crafting/towns/gathering pretty much everything.

Oh and our mayor has been afk for over a week, so a week of no buy orders, no tickets, no mayor comissions and no constructions and locked out of progression for crafting/gold making. It SUCKED.

Nothing against Anvils as a landscape/area, that was cool. Everything else not so much.

I would even go on to say ANVILS actually hurts the game right now if new players come in and think thats how everything works and how the systems work. It will give them a false impression of the game and unless they try Riverlands they will walk away from the game not knowing any better.

SW36 is the server worker that Joeva City is on and therefore the one everyone is getting queues on

Yeah this queue situation is unacceptable. A random DC puts you into a 10 hour queue. Either work on the grace period for DCs or increase the amount of server workers for high traffic parts of server. A ten hour queue means you won't be able to log in for that day. There is no point in sitting in a 10 hour queue.

Pro Tip for logging in and out. When finished for the day move away with your caracter from the main town and log out in a safe spot outside of town. I usually log out somewhere between Winstead and Miraleth at a Safe Spot. So far it worked every time in helping me log in right away instead of waiting in a queue
