Have to go to "Help With This Purchase" section so you can submit a note that's manually reviewed versus the traditional refund route that's automated. On your first go they'll probably respond with the situation being investigated and they'll update your ticket. It can take up to a day or two for them to come back with approving your refund for steam credit.

I agree! I would have never gotten into EVE Online if I weren't already deeply entrenched in the fanbase for its world before it came out. Likewise Albion online, I'd have been totally lost and gave it up in a moment... I think the whole reason OSRS failed and no one plays it anymore is that it didn't have a well established universe behind it at launch, and followed a scheduled roadmap of development. That's definitely why Guild Wars and its sequel failed so spectacularly and neither is played actively today. They should have followed the final fantasy model and set their game in a well established world... Wait no that one had the name recognition of the IP behind it, there was no way it could have failed at launch! I think we should all go play Conan Exiles or Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning until we can get another good game.

I was able to get steam credits for refunding two of my friends who were gifted the games but not able to refund directly to wallet for myself i have 144 hours and was told that if you are past the clause of the steam clause stating 14 businsss days or past the 2/22 hour mark for mmorpgs you are highly unlikely to gst a refunded for steam purchase but they may give you steam credits to compensate for it if you push and ask for be given stsam credits instead youll most likely have more succces. The guy I had who did my tickets James gave me steam credits for refunding my friends games but not credit or refund for my own account. So its no gurante youll get anything back if you go past the steam refund policy clause.. if anything wait for steam to make a offical announcement on what they'll be doing. Most likely steam credits vs full refund to your wallet. Steam are complicit. They barely refund 2% of all requests. They literally refuse to take responsibility.
There is even EU directive for all EU member states that obliges all digital sellers to provide services for 2 full years or they have to refund and they don't even care because the steam supports are usually from south america or india.

I just wonder how much time it will take before someone takes Steam into court. Because they are in breach of many EU directives of refusing to refund AoC for instance.
But usually Americans think they laws are > than EU laws so it will take time for them to realize that's not the case when you sell products in the EU member states. Because in america for instance scams are legal.

I am not worried... because as an EU citizen the Ashes of Creation server needs to be up until 11th of December 2027 or otherwise I can fully refund it even if they currently reject my requests.

I only paid $65 for it and I’m enjoying the game. I went from lvl 1-16 in 3 days grouping with randoms and found a buddy from Norway who was helpful and enjoying the game same as me. Plenty of people have gotten full refunds (on Steam) regardless of the amount of hours played. It's all about persistence, keep opening manual tickets with Steam support and one of them will eventually cave.

The friend who told me this was going to be the greatest game in the history of gaming bought it and he got a refund. In the steam support page you have to look for the option "I have a question" and select that. if you select refund, it will automatically reject you. In your question comment section you should just submit the whole situation and why you wanna refund and you'll just get steam credit. People have posted their messages on reddit that got them a refund, so you should just copy and paste one of those.

The game right now is broken. Some mobs can’t be aggro. I’m level 16 fighter atm just started last Saturday and grind for 2 days.

Do the beginner quests it will take you to level 4 then do some commission quests to get you to half of level 5. Do some gathering for a bit. Level 5-6 gives you time to gather and craft basic equipments. I suggest to go FULL HEAVY set so you won’t get bullied by mobs. Make sure you have basic rings and earrings.

Once you’re 6 go to a place called Church of 7 Stars it’s best if there are still people playing so you can party with them. Stay at church from 6-10

Ncsoft only takes asian mmos and flips them into templates using amazon servers. They are the epitome of trash in the genre.

From what im reading its the investors that fucked us here because they tried to take over the game and turn it into monetized slop. So Stephen abandoned it and the devs.

With the long standing history of mmos I will say AOC was the most ambitious and would have absolutely made rounds as an albion replacement since the games are very similar.

AoC promised the world, failed to deliver it and said "we changed our minds like a train", they sold copies of the game on the premise that it was a sure thing because they already had enough money to deliver on the promises they had made. And alot of the stuff mentioned in this timeline fits the stuff we have seen from other sources.

Multiple allegations point to Steven not investing his own personal funds as he claimed he has.

I Started on L2 Reborn Signature Teon as well, loving it! I also tried Lu4.org, but somehow they managed to make L2 look worse with better grafics and Unreal engine 4. No glowing weapons anymore and the contrast is somehow off, so I switched back to L2 Reborn and its great!

You know what’s the fun? It’s not the mob grinding. It’s the crafting having a better community that helps each other. Going on raids to get some recipe from a boss. The leveling grind sucks since mobs don’t get aggro but when yoi reach 25. Crafting, exploring trying to find recipe that everyone can use. You only need 2 days to get to 25.

I don’t make messages like this a lot, but I’ve noticed a lot of questions like this, so: If you’re looking for a REFUND for Ashes, don’t go directly through the refunding process that Steam offers, chances are the automatic set up will just ignore your request due to play time, instead: Contact customer support directly. I had roughly 30 hours on the game and they refunded it to me.

Secondly: If you’re looking for a game that’s similar to AOC, I highly, highly recommend Guild Wars 2, or WoW if you haven’t gotten into yet. But that’s just my two cents! Not hate, just a suggestion.
