I will say, I was complaining about the amount of mats needed to craft a single item, but man when you get it it is rewarding. Definitely not worth selling much. Takes hours of grinding to make 40s profit per adept bow.

Yes, if you are looking for live benefit you want to learn the game and probably do half crafting and investigating.
Level 25 gets you a mount cosmetic, nothing amazing, similar to some other ones from what I am finding and hearing.
So there is no huge alpha win long term prize.

Just insight and experience.
But that pretty much seals the deal on live starting rushes

My issues vary but the only one that bugs me most is the mouse hooking. Sometimes I get in combat I feel like I am playing Diablo in 3rd person mouse mode and it takes 20 attempts to get it to lock my mouse back up again and most times when I do I still cannot turn the screen.

i believe in Ashes of Creation and i believe that it will succed. But i hardly have a problem that the patches (weekly) are very thin... only 1 or 2 fixes.. ( i mean .. there are "one man" Indie Games with 20 fixes every few days. and i remember "New World " shortly after release also had weekly 1 or 2 lines in the patch notes. extreme thin

I mean Star Citizen has been in its buggy phase for 15 years and made far more money than most other games and they still can't get the NPC's to stop hiding under ramps, getting piled up trying to get through doors and all standing on 1 table like keeping away from a rat. I think the time taken to resolve issues is lack of focus. Stick to 1 issue until that 1 issue is 100% resolved then work on another. I think the issue is UE5 being able to have many hands in the cookie jar at the same time. One persons fix gets messed up while another person is fixing something else.

Actually you are the clueless here , yes wow was programmed and used old technology but for its time it was the latest. Also keep in mind now devs have more "help" compared to the OG devs back in the day atleast 80% of programmers use co-pilot or chat-gpt. Keep in mind this guys from AOC doesnt write everything from scratch, they used the "blueprints" from unreal. It's all about the skills of the coders... AOC doesnt have any as it looks so....

This isnt peoples therapist chat. Raging and insulting people is an emotional reaction. It is not "constructive critisism". Regardless of the state of the game, the development team, and people in discord, are just that, actual people.

There are multiple paths to leave critical feedback. Forums, the feedback thread area here in discord. That is where devs have asked people to post their issues so they dont get lost in the fast moving discord.

yyou asked .. so here is myy answer.. in 4 weeks, 8-10 hours daily yfarming scorpions i found 57 (normal scorpions, 1 legendary) , + 13 broodlings (one green only) , 14 common crocs (near lake) , 1 blue croc, 7 Hippos in the lake and around 500 carcasses... thats the point ..whyy i left Miraleth... storage AND Guild Storage is FULL.. but farmingn broodlings was way to hard... sometimes 10 hours of farming and 0 broodlings..

Been reading on the wipes and I don't understand. says they don't want to do wipes, but that they will do wipes, but it also says in past wipes they preserved character levels and inventories but everything else got wiped but they also said they will wipe everything before release. "Wipes" is not really the term. IN the past, servers have been shut down, and then fresh ones opened, and we all start over. Nothing, is carried over to those. Always fresh and new progress.

Will they open fresh servers so they can restart testing? Sure they will, but they dont WANT to have to do that unless they really really have to.

It is very likely that will happen prior to beta testing, and for sure, everything will be deleted prior to launch.

I ignore the bots for the most part but if they didn't have a buyer they wouldn't have a job so I mean find the bots, track the bots and their account trades as I know it can be done I was a GM on MO for a while long ago and I could see the activities of a players interactions and deaths. Once you find the buyers just go that route but if they would stop with the long grind fest and farm fest for materials in a phase that is suppose to be wiped at any time it would stop a great deal of it.

Bot don't effect ones gameplay the end result of bots does however effect your gameplay with the cost of items from the marketplace due to gold buyers thinking everything is worth 100x what it cost to make. If a bot is harvesting nodes where you are just simply move somewhere else. Streamers are causing the development team to waste tons of time and effort trying to fix every little thing they complain about instead of the broader issues. If this game does fail and I hope it don't it will be because of streamers and their hardcore fanbase who cannot think for themselves. There needs to be either 3 more toon slots or have the option to change your Archetype at a npc so not to waste time leveling up all of them for testing. Items for testing such as recipes and materials should be placed on a npc to buy for free and craft for free at each station location and exp buff added to fast track all level gains. I have no problem grinding out levels on release I leveled all my jobs on final fantasy xi to 75 before the caps were added and I went back and took most of them to Master levels so a grind is nothing new to me but in an alpha phase they are slowing their own progress for some reason. Every month or so release a big patch after a wipe and those that were just playing like it was a full release will come crawling back to cap out again if they don't then they wasn't going to stay when the subs kicked in anyways.

Yes it is and that is how I do my testing. I go through every little detail start to finish and stop when I hit something broken. If I cannot skip it I fix it and once I fix it I start all over again to ensure I broke nothing else. There is a great deal of wasted time in this Alpha trying to make everyone happy and that will never happen. It is impossible to make everyone happy but you can predict the real testers from the flakers.

I agree 100% @mighty thicket the only issues is they added the PTR and I will bet you it was to keep from wiping it because streamers are flaky and will rage quite every single time there is a wipe. They should just leave Lyneth as a streamer server since it has the most of them on it and wipe the rest once a month if that be the case. I will gladly hop to another server and do some proper testing with some proper rates of gain and I will stream it all if they like. I am here for progress and helping fix the game to get it out the door is my primary goal.

When I was a GM for Mortal Online back in the day it being a sandbox mmo with full open world pvp bots were resolved by the community. Bot fishing on a cliff, players used the body blocking systems push action to shove them off cliffs that took like 30 minutes to get back from.

A legacy server durrng this phase would be the best option per region. All other servers need to have wipe dates set to them and those servers have npc's with all resources and recipes for crafting on them with a boon for a 300% exp overall boost so proper testing can take place. Each big patch should result in a wipe so new data is not corrupted by old data creating the issues taking place with the last two patches we have had.

@young matrix If your stuck in a que list you will have to just hang tight as the node could be down or full. @tribal mountain Most keyboards and mouse systems come with those options and would be crazy hard to detect and risky as they are part of the programs for their functions. WOW had to back off their anti cheat system because they were becoming to invasive and started to fringe upon privacy concerns. Cheaters will never be 100% removed but instead of bans the best option is to block their interaction capabilities with others and market places. Not for everyone just the single account restriction.

@tribal mountain I wasn't a big wow fan. I don't do well with people that like to try and control my gameplay. I played ffxi for a good minute but spent more time sending people to their homepoints for trying to dictate others gameplay than I care to remember. Tank class needs a pull in AOE skill imo. It can be annoying walking things around to get them gathered. I took tank and cleric to 20 bard to 15 fighter at 10 atm not many skills that I use that id need the exta points past 20.

@tribal mountain The game nees an account storage and 3 more character slots or an option to change your archetype. The most of wow I played was on a private server where class skills were open to missmatch. I was accused of cheating multiple times for killing 4-6 people vs 1. I leveled from 1 to cap can't remember what it was I think 80 but once I hit cap I made another toon and did it again as I enjoyed it far more than mindless grinding of mobs and doing quests.

I haven't said there isn't bots? I haven't said they're not an issue?..... again, straight to assumptions, which is really strange. I have some faith in intrepid, i have faith that they are honeypotting the botters as they say they are. Banning them all manually is not cost affective, time affective, and ultimately not affective at all. Bots just come straight back on their stolen CC's. Learning from them, watching them, honeypotting them, and observing them ESPECIALLY DURING AN ALPHA is, in my opinion, the best thing to be doing. This gives them a chance to build robust systems moving forward to catch the bots more effectively. They also wouldn't make all the information available to the public as to exactly how they're combatting them, because then the bots would know exactly what intrepid are doing to combat them, and stay one step ahead again.

Active GM's plus a robust well made system - which should be in for BETA, as per Steven, should be a more affective tool.

I simply think "game gonna die because bots" is clownish behaviour.

Could i be wrong? absolutely, and if i am, more fool me. I'm a grown adult that bought into early access alpha, at a risk. If it dies due to botting and intrepid do nothing, I move on to the next game. Sitting in the newcomer chat saying "game gonna die cuz bots", is incredibly useless, too everyone, including the game 🙂

So i think you are slightly illusioned, the core systems you mentioned are actually a breeding ground for RMT the time its taken to start dealing with bots is the time it takes me to train people and have them run a RTCS to completion on ethical hacking. the problem is method not action, bailing a boat with a hole in it eventually leads to sinking ^_^

you've basically agreed with me, i've said going round manually banning bots is useless, this fits your boat analogy perfectly. You find out why there's holes, and fix them, not just bail the water. (you oberve bots to learn from them, to fix the route problem, not just ban them)?

But logically, i dont think intrepid, especially mr steven, would spend a decade devving this game, investing millions of dollars, to just let bots overrun the game in alpha. Depending on your class and how compitent you are, you could go down to the desert and farm the Najash, they're 20-23 1-3 star elites. Their combat rotation is easily learnable but they do still tend to smack you around. Good glint, drops DjinnBlessed emblems and recipes. I advise my guild members on this and tell them to use it as a milestone leveling spot, since once you can kill 1 of them you can single pull and skirt the outside in a crescent loop for hours. Careful of the scorpions until you're strong enough, they have cost many lives.

No. its not meant to make anyone feel better about the state of the game. It does communicate they have heard the vast amount of complaints and feedback that has been given. It also servers as a reminder to those that, while passionate about the game, need a reality check about exactly what "Open Development" actually is. And then, it ends with a reschedule of the stream, which isnt a huge deal. Better to be ready and have a good one, than a rushed crappy one.

Here’s what I think will happen; they will talk about bots and mention that they are working “diligently” to ban the bots, but will go into a huge tangent about how difficult of a problem it is and how the bots evade detection, a quick summary of how botters will adapt once they know what “triggered” the ban, so they do the bans in waves.

They will also mention changes to crates, caravans, that are being “worked on” but won’t dive into any specifics about it because it’s “too early to say anything”. Most likely, they will flag you for carrying crates, and then simultaneously nerf the rewards, making them useless.

The bugs, performance problems, and stability will be acknowledged and explained away as “alpha problems”, and Steven will say something like “as we near Beta, things will start to come together and feel better to play, but for now EMBRACE THE SUCK”

They will release a rough roadmap, and their very first bullet point will be delayed by several months before being integrated into the game in a broken state.

That’s what I think will happen. I’ll save it in a notepad and we can see if I was right or not after the 13th 🤷🏼‍♂️

Well you have access now so enjoy learning and give feedback. Best part is you can literally just mess around with out having to care about metas since it will all get wiped before launch and probably a few times before it. They are going a PTR test during the day tomorrow too if you have time. It's going to be much more focused on things with the devs giving us things to test asking with level and gear boosts

I had auth working for a long time, i took a break and now when i rejoined it seems gone.

Disc linked to acc and i can still play the game normally.

First thing i did was to see if there was any "react to this msg for access" but even after toggling the news react and my language i still cant type in A2 channels.

is there anyone left on resna who can help me to get level 25 i been in lfg the last 8 days looking for a group im lvl 22 i been looking for a while it feels like its mainly just bots now or people who are already lvl 25 i traveled all over the map looking for groups in steelbloom and more can anyone help me im needing help i go to wendsted its all bots or people standing at market i been to like 6 diffent towns and fighting areas its mainly bots farming or people selling gold adv websites in my server and its annoying getting told i have duped gear i can sell u but if u lose it from devs its not my fault like wtf im just getting annoyed at this point help me someone PLS

That is why I stopped leveling all 3 of my toons as 20. Too slow to solo the rest of the way and not worth it imo

as im spamming in LFG or worldchat looking for a team but its pointless at that point becuz bots spamm out the chat and everything i said is gone with in 5 secs of just chat spams every 15 secs or 30 secs its annoying lol im not trying to talk bad about the game its a fun game just looking for people to help me level theres just a bunch of lvl 25 red skulls running around my server killing all farmers or botters and they dont care if ur a bot or not they just kill u too lol its hard

Level 20 is easy to achieve, you could always start on another server ^^

With the Knowledge you got you can do it more efficient than playing from 0
