@mild vigil yea but according to AI the mobs in a area gets higher as the nearby town develops to higher lvl, like if its a town it attracts higher lvl mobs, villages and less attract lower lvls. It seems to be the exact opposite as there are chill low lvl mobs around towns in riverlands and once i get into sandsquall theyre all like lvl 30 lol. And there are no settlements at town lvl there even. So this is false? what google ai said? xd

Ex: A rogue fighter has all the rogue abilities, but you can choose to change them to add more sustain,burst damage, mobility (fighter augments)

Either:

  • Being Grouped flags everyone as pvp or corrupt

  • Only the person who killed or died can loot

  • Figure out a way to engage in actual pvp - Equal numbers... 1v1... etc - Right now you reward griefing and with no consequence

You might get unlucky and lose them all perm or drop them all also I’ve died once with 2 legos and 3 bright glint 9 glowing and stacks of green some blue and heroic mats and only pure glint dropped and the bright glint hit the perma loss end of the rng the 2 Lego iron came back safe though

Is there a way to improve the performance of the game? I've got really bad fps drops to like 1-2fps from time to time. I checked the task manager and all my RAM is used, mostly for this AoC (16gb). The current maintenance downtimes are the time when the fewest number of players are online across all servers. This is the most ideal time to impact the fewest number of players. In the past the downtime was mid day which was the evening for EU and it impacted a larger player base. I think this is a good time for it. The only timezone it really impacts significantly is PST late nighters. Sorry this impacts you 🙁

I tried doing a mule run with my lvl 15 character—just wanted to move 2 crates of gray items three times to make some quick cash. It was a disaster. I kept getting killed by lvl 25 full radiant players. Not only did I lose my cargo and take an XP penalty, but I also wasted so much time. That's the part that hurts the most: the wasted time. I am never doing that again. But i love this game. I am only sad 🙂

I mean thats what it is for me in central so it kinda shakes out to be reasonable, but also when I worked in game development we did our update pushes around this time for the sake of minimal population impact, so I mean I can't be too mad about it.

That said it does happen so often so I do wish it would happen less.

That's probably my biggest complaint is that for a 3 hour lapse I feel like it's maybe a bit too frequent for my tastes. Pushing midnight patches works fine when theyre 30 minute downtimes once every 2 or 3 weeks, but a 3 hour downtime I think is excessive when its this often.

In fairness their back-end data might genuinely show this to be the least detrimental time so I can't cast too much shade, inconvenient to a night shift worker doom as it may be. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on it.

Do I like it? Obviously not, I'd rather be faffing about. Killing plants and being homeless in Seahook. However, do I think this is some malicious ploy or them just pulling a time out of a hat? Probably not, they likely picked this time for a reason and probably not just to inconvenience us. Occams Razor would say that this probably is when average server pop is at it's lowest based on their data. Could it be done better? Sure, and it might be laziness, but I want to believe/hope that it's not.

It is possible to replace a profession certification by "demoting" it at the appropriate NPC (such as a Foreman or Specialist in a node or starting area).
How it works: If you demote a profession from Apprentice (Level 10-20) back to Novice (Level 1-10), you will lose the experience you gained within the higher tier.

  • Alpha 2 Observations: Players have reported that demoting a skill resets that profession's XP to the baseline of the tier below (e.g., if you were an Apprentice and demoted, you would be set back to the start of Novice). This is intended to prevent players from "cycling" through all professions on a single character to bypass the mastery limits.

Apprentice Limits for Crafting
You can definitely have two apprentice crafting professions. In fact, you can have more than that across the entire artisan tree.

  • The Apprentice Cap: You are allowed to have a maximum of 5 Apprentice certifications at once on a single character.
  • Cross-Branch Limits: This limit of 5 is shared across all three artisan branches: Gathering, Processing, and Crafting.

Big difference between banning Enterprise SAS cloud services and banning VM Software. Gold farmers/botters arent using Shadow etc cloud services to do their work simply too expensive. Also this ban will do nothing do stop illegitimate gold sellers/botters, but you did manage to ban/prevent a bunch of legit players from being able to play. Good Job i guess?

This is actually a good idea, you could make a player reportable by other players maybe once every 8 hours or something. If they dont report to a nearby respawn node or whatever point etc then the game flags them as corrupted. Could only report same person once maybe twice a day at first, with each successive time a person builds up going to the node after report as a longer timer needed or less reporting available for that person etc. Then the botters could be hunted for gear money etc by other players without consequence. Could also go the opposite way, if a person doesnt respond to a node, then they become reportable 4 times per day, happens again 8 times per day etc.

There are lots of bugs, your character can be bricked, wipes will occur, the queues are currently based on where you log out so they move slowly in towns, your PC might hate it because it's not optimized, and not much the systems and content are in. You can do magic damage as a phys user and vice versa . Physical wands still hit with arcane damage that is scaled off your physical power. Spell bows do piercing physical damage that scales off your magic power

No idea what will happen, but in this EA for example, everyone gets a cloak, and if you hit 25 during this EA, you get a mount skin?

In prior Alpha 2 phase, there were titles which will make your cloak have diff enchantment colours depending on which title you use.

Then there was that 504 cloak from the EA beginning bc of the massive issues, as a thank you.

Not sure what else they will sell on store as packages, but I think ? there will not be any more "exclusive" packages like founders.

Depends what you mean by "better" to be honest, and im not being difficult here, its a genuine question lol. I tend to use mine for crafting and processing to be honest mostly to try it all out and level everything a bit. But if youre talking purely money, then yeah market dependant. If you can list and sell, with listing cost, and make better cash then selling to vendor then do that, but obviously that's slower and dependant on if there's a demand and even sells. Again a bit of trial and error buddy, some things sell some just really dont so I ent up vendering anyways. But I've actually started to notice some people aren't checking this and selling stuff on market place for less then vendor offers 🤣🤣

Processing/crafting mostly get more value, but depends on quality. If nothing else, processing in general allow you to post more stuff in one slot. e.g. if you process copper into copper ingot, it is basically one slot in auction for price of three stacks of copper. On other hand, some people are completely wild and are able to sell stuff for half of materials + craft cost, so it is goot to check in advance, or do what I do and buy their stuff 😄

Sometimes it is just a bug and a simple relog fixes the issue. Other times, people forget to pay their taxes and if you don't pay your taxes to the sheriff after five days, you end up locked out of your third tab until you pay said taxes. Don't worry, your tab and stuff is still there. Also, if you are a citizen of a town, if you are a commoner and buy the extra tab for 1 gold, it is for that character only. Each character has to grind their own citizenship even though all characters are bound to one town.

Exactly! That is what you do when you join an ALPHA TWO. You are not here for a finished product. They tell you upfront it can and most likely will change upto and including wiping before release. Don't be surprised if that happens more than once before final release. I'm not saying that it will, just saying it can. In other words, don't get married to your current characters because at some point before or at official launch, we are all going back to the starting line with fresh servers.

Like i said earlier, people just have different expectations of an alpha, I expected nothing from it apart from a slow, buggy, mess haha, so it really doesn't bother me that things don't work/are broken/definitely need updating and changing. If they don't change and fix before release the game flops and i move onto another, it's really not that big of a deal to me, personally 😛

when i look at other games and studios i dont think 8 years is that bad. new studio, from scratch, with the scope they have. Games like arc raiders took 7 years to develop - and that's a decent game, but is a slither of the size of this game. i'm not sure why 8 years in development with no full release = bad or what standard they're holding this too. People never like this one, but if they think they can do it, do what Steven did, put your money where your mouth is and go make a better one in the same time, no one could achieve that in here haha or very very very few people could atleast.

People keep complaining about there being no content past level 10. Is that true? As far as I can tell, at level 10, I’ll focus on crafting (which, in my opinion, is a lot of content), and I’ve seen guides for group parties that can go up to lvl 25. Isn’t that content? (I prefer having camps for grouping than fetching solo quests until I reach level cap. Ultimately, it’s just a matter of personal preference.)

There are like 5-7 of them that like to spawn around the hills just to the east of the Halls of Judication. You only have to go about 1/4 of the way around the eastern side of the hills. Mostly there and along the road.

@hexed bone I know quest grinding can be the suck. Look up SwoleBenji's Level 10+ solo leveling guide... yes, repeatable quests are part of it, but he shows you how to stack 4-6 kill quests all asking for you to kill the same type of mob (quest stacking) and you can get 20-30k XP for killing just five mobs... rinse and repeat. It's an amazingly simple way to level 10-25 faster than even group grinding all day.

Game runs fine, The issue is your hardware (give me a second before you rage reply). I've heard lots of reports of crashing and falling through worlds, but I have yet to experience any of that yet, now why I said hold on a second above. In Star Citizen there's also a direct correlation to falling through the map based off cpu compute power. So I assume to some degree the system that loads or renders the map and floors near you is not processed fast enough via your cpu or gpu and thus you fall through the world or error out and crash. This seems to be a pretty common issue across heavily modified UE5 games.

so theres a guy named lion heat on lyneth that is a for sure bot. its easy to tell by the pathing and behavior. he direct paths to the next node, and he will mine it even if youve mined it 99%, he still hops on no matter what.
