That's categorically false. My group were all logged in before the mass interruption, and we all DC'ed. We were able to reconnect for roughly 10-15 seconds before getting DC'ed again.

that's a known bug. if you are OCD like me and need it to go away, remove 1 point from your weapon skill tree, confirm, put one point back into same spot, confirm, and it will go away.

code 37 means the server worker you're on has crashed. It's a temporary issue and you should be able to log back in within a minute, assuming there are no queues

not in game atm. Press "P" go to animal husbandry, look for scorpion mount, check the "mat" (the trainable animal). I know for some mounts when you "craft" them it's not 100% chance, some you can get the mount or beast of burden (caravan hauler), etc. I think scorpion is 100%?

As far as drop rate for the trainable animal, depends on the loot table for that huntable mob (maybe check ashescodex), could have hide, animal, etc

#read-me-first and link your Discord, then you get access to typing in the A2 channels. This whole channel was created at EA launch cause the bot that assigns those roles was overloaded and broke. It has since stablized, so should work now. If you previously linked your Discord and it still doesn't work, unlink and link again. If your A2 tags don't assign within 10 minutes, make sure to log out of Steam, logout of Intrepid site, log back into Steam, log back into Intrepid site (use a different brower in incognito mode sometimes gives a positive result has been reported) and see if that works. If none of that does, then it is CS ticket time.

Queues are not realm based, they are server worker based here. If you log out in a highly populated server worker (town) you are going to get a queue.

Just check the server worker number (page up display the info unless you have changed the keybind). Note the one in the town you use regularly and make sure you are in a different one. The distance varies due to how their dynamic gridding tech works on splitting heavy load workers into smaller ones, so can change, but the base numbers are usually pretty static, cause town are usually already split down due to heavy load already.

The queue going down is based on people moving out of that server worker and space being made. If more people keep coming into that server worker in game, and not enough are leaving, you are going to be in queue for a while. Intrepid has said they are looking at making changes so that high volume areas may automatically move high queue individuals to other locations, but that has its own issues when people end up getting logged into the wilderness and lose their stuff due to random placement. Work in progress. Till then, embrace the suck.

Im just saying.. an Alpha is for finding the problems.. its quite literally its intended function.. so you will then need to expect the fixes to come. So yes.. the game will crash or need hotfixing. We have been a little spoiled with Early Access through steam.. most of those are at the Beta or Near Release stage.. and we start to expect a certain level of stability or completeness.. but Alpha stages are not for that. Alphas are basically 'hey, it seems to be running, lets add players and see what breaks'. lol. I admit, they have had a few alphas already, so easy to trigger issues might have already had a trigger, but now they gotta fix them. Not every game needs a "story". There is no overarching map progression in this game where one would make much sense. A newly created character can choose between quite a few different paths regarding where they're going to spend their time in the game world.

Just throw out one or two auto attacks. Most people panic and fight back/flag instead of staying un-flagged. Then you can pvp all you want when they flag. Just don’t kill them if they don’t flag back.

Carefully. I have gotten on people’s boats and killed/taken their fish because of flags. Your boat can also be destroyed, it has a lot of health but if you have a group with you, a boat can be destroyed fast. So be careful fishing in the water

You can fish in "safe zones" or you go to open water that flags PvP for high risk high reward. They might even have land areas for PvP somewhere I am sure. Rivers and lakes are usually safe zones, but can still be killed. You just dont auto flag.

@old spade go to rensa find a Polar member and see how well it goes for you. They dont care about corruption. They will be happy to camp you and then you will have PvP. Also, once your Node is built you have a better chance of attacking other nodes and defending.

Real game starts after level 10, and gets spicy at lvl 25. Till then...yea u can easily harvest no problem, because most ppl arent going to risk corruption just for some tree chopper, so yea, its pretty safe, and thats okay, because these games thrive on ALL types. So I killed a level 15 on a mule today (I am level 17) and the mule dropped 2 crates - When I interacted with the crates, one showec the PvP Flag Icon, the other showed the normal "Pick Up" icon. I decided to pick it up, assuming I could then hand the crate in.

As soon as i picked it up I became corrupted? Is this as intended? - If so then thats fine, however I felt a bit caught out as there was no warning that i'd become corrupted by picking that option.

I found things a bit too difficult at low level and unsteady gains trying to form parties and kill things. Then I took up resource gathering... So far its been a nice, chill experience and im investing in my future profits by banking rare materials while processing for exp and doing commissions for my glint.

If they didnt respond fast enough and the player didnt flip PvP then you got corrupt. As for picking up loot. It will always flag purple and have roughly 1 min before it fades.

No, corruption doesnt drop that way. You need to farm, donate or fight clean to get it off or die enough times. Logging out doesnt cleanse it and they figured people wojld exploit it by logging out. It is designed to stick until task is complete.

Uh, No. Because there are people who desire to play other aspects of the game besides PvP. You want PvP, then go to the servers where most the aspect of PVP is at. Steve has plainly said he wanted this to be a "multi-aspect" game for lots of people who wanted to do various things.

Well, the game is still in Alpha. Perhaps this will become an option in later versions. There are many players who prefer to PvE or Craft or gather or RP etc.. so.. if enough ask for it, they might include it. Or even add PvP specific zones, like they did the oceans.

Again, it depends if its actual pvp, or just griefing. "denial of gameplay" has been listed by Steven, and is quite obvious if a lvl 25 is stomping on low levels, preventing them from playing the game, then that is griefing and bannable

They both started purple until 1 ran away, but @smoky ore said it could have been the dot that killed. This is a bug thay should be fixed. If you're purple and fighting and run away you need to not be hit by dot or player ability for a full minute. If you get hit within that time it shojdl start the minute over.

Well Dune went from selling itself as a game with good PvP aspects to selling out to PvE players who just wanted a single player game. That game crashed in numbers the next day.

There should be ample protection in place to make it a thought process to attack another player, but people should not be playing an MMO in a bubble of protection. These exact same people will be the people who moan about how long leveling takes, moan about how hard the gearing is, moan how annoying it is to have professions this ingrained.

MMO's fail when the fold. The concept here is a good one, it needs work but it is a good one.

First you need to interact with the rocks that are next to the pillar in the water to get the quest item, then speak to the golem

if i remember correctly, atlas used the proprietary stuff new world used for their game with the whole, node server system. But atlas used a much earlier concept. By doing this it did come out considerably cheaper, but was wonky in many ways, specifically it was found the nodes could be abused by stuffing as many players in as possible, causing it to hard cap and prevent other players from logging in to help their guild, causing massive issues and a severe decline in playerbase due to exploits around the node server system

theres no static rarity anymore its all based off your gathering quality / RNG , so thats also why you see less leggo, you just got lucky. i saw no leggo gatherables for 2 weeks but in the last week ive gotten like 20 various legendary with hardly any quality change

the carpentry crates are for packing materials you gather for transport , more for moving bulk bulk materials. the ones you use for money are bought prepacked from the commodity trader or whatever hes called now

No that doesnt fix it. Like he's just broken. I wanted to like move materials into these to do a caravan run to move some materials over, but I can't pack these small or medium ash crates at all.

Are flying mounts majors only, or I can tame them as well?

they could potentially be different flying mounts that are in for hunting however only those able to fly will be able to fly with them, us peasants will get gliding mounts at some point

nah we should be able to have flying mounts too but mayors can have one that is bigger and maybe have special abilities

there are like 12 gryphons on map and you can tame them, but after like 60 of them, still just carcasses

id rather not have massive amounts of people just fall out of the sky and murder you then mount and fly off

nah it could be something like if you are flagged pvp, you cant use flying mounts or something you gotta stay grounded. but tbh you both gotta be flagged to attacked so no worries about being killed for no reason

gryphons are the gliders and pretty sure its just carcasses from them atm, the trainable hasnt been enabled afaik
