Async happens from clicking play on your character too fast. if you wait about 10 seconds or so before clicking play, it wont happen.

Access to global chat is given at lvl 5.

The only way i have found to get past the async is to make sure you're loading in in the middle of nowhere

Depends what content you want for play. Ranger and rouge have a stealth so you be sneaky and pick what mobs to farm, tank is well self explanitory, fighter is a very good grinder but needs a log of HP regen downtime early game,
Cleric has the ability to farm and heal themselves during combat but lack damage,
Bard is a very comfy class for solo and group play
Summoner is super versatile for solo play having access to 3 pets that can tank heal or dps

I've done this, I've also done the steps in the official support note where you create a new character. That newly created character also got the async issue. So some people it works for and some people it doesn't.

So I was able to work around the issue with the constant loading screen, I created a new character on a different realm, logged into that, then logged out and back into the character that was stuck loading. It loaded me in fine. It's happened a few times now where it boots me back to the loading screen even though I'm active and each time I just go to the other realm, log in, then log off and back into my main character on the other realm.

No idea if anyone recommended it but worth a try for those struggling.

Queues are based on Server Workers. Server Workers are in control of a region on the map. If the SW is already at max player count/max load, it will not allow you to load in, thus not lowering the queue.
It is highly suggested to most players when finished playing to leave an area of high activity such as a town or a grind location to avoid having to wait such queue times.

Summon pets have been bugged since last nites patch. They lose aggro from the mob u tell them to attack and walk back to owner. I would put this in the bug forums but Im not qualified yet.
