For my server, I've heard them say that they're going to specialize each settlement for a specific resource - lets say Joeva for Minerals for the sake of an example. What actually differs Joeva, New Aela, to Miraleth, if assumedly, minerals spawn all over Verra equally?

Its buildings for specific Artisan Skills - look in N menu / Buildings / click on an empty plot and see the list to construct. You can't have them all so you need to specialise/liase with other Mayors for an optimal world. Once the game releases it will become a much more nuanced system with all the politics required behind the scenes.

Tailoring Vendor in the starter town has a selection of recipes. Buy the extra mats from them while you're there as the General vendors don't stock everything

processing scrolls when u pull stuff from benches, crafting scrolls before you craft them. You do get adventuring xp from crafting but if your trying to get artisan levels use the crafting scrolls

For example lumbermilling is a processing skill and carpentry is a crafting skill, both "required" for carpentry but seperate leveling bars

Make crate, there’s a few different types. You can move this crate yourself on foot or by mule (no pvp), or put it into a caravan (yes pvp). Whilst you have a crate on your back and in your storage tab, right click the crate on your character screen and send it to storage. When in there you can add it to caravan.
Drive caravan to another node to sell, it automatically arrives when in range. To get the crates out, reverse process

Hey so I hit lvl 5 through questing and the constellation thingies, and I had started a quest that wanted me to carry a crate somewhere. I picked up the crate and shoved off, but immediately, someone engaged PVP before I could even figure out how to retaliate. I died, and lost the quest. Womp womp. 😢

Now, I have no idea what to do. The quest is gone and Idk where to find more quests. Yesterday I tried doing commissions (hunt goblins, hunt deer, hunt grem) and roamed the land finding none of these enemies anywhere. I ended yesterday with less XP than I gained.

This game reminds me of Runscape/nexus TK/ ESO merged. Its fun, grindy, economic based and does have a grind, no fast travel. Its in Alpha, you can have issues logging in for roughly an hour maybe log on first try. I get a lot of server time outs when I attempt to log on, but I love it so far. Its Alpha, so expect getting stuck in things, crashes, massive runner banding, errors, things not working properly, lack of quest, etc.... just report rhe bugs. I see many people bashing this game due to these issues, but again. Its Alpha and needs more work, but if they keep up with the process and not rush things this could easly be ine of the best MMOs.

yes mobs attack. On water, caravans convert to rafts. Diff levels of caravans have diff amounts of slots. You can build better ones with higher level mats (apprentice level wood for example) There are different parts, you can upgrade.

Feel that. The most "efficient way" is play in a party, but the loot rules have to be setup correctly. Common gear can drop and you'll want to roll on it. The default loot rules make it so that commons are never rolled on and no one else can see that it drops

Unfortunately there are skummy scammer people in all games. Its a tough lesson, but they didnt break any TOS> they are just jerks.

You start to learn names and see them advertise for work. Those are the ones you probably want to do business with. Guilds have dedicated crafters so they can avoid these types of situations.

It really sucks you lost your mats though. But this isnt something that is a reportable offense.

Anytime. Just remember that if you go over the XP for 10 and want to demote you will lose the XP.

So if you're level 12 apprentice in Herbalism and demote back to novice. You lose those 2 levels and go back down to 10.

This has been happening to many people. You are not alone. Its not erased, its a bug. Some people found logging in and out, and in and out, and in and out, helped. When it happened to me I logged out for like 15 min then back it was resolved. But that doesnt work for everyone.

I am experiencing a critical, character-blocking issue that appears to be a server-side character data desynchronization or partial rollback.

When I logged in, I encountered an abnormally long loading screen. After the login completed, my character was gliding/falling in empty space, and I could see other players in the same state. I used the unstuck function to recover and was placed back into the world.

After this, I went to repair my broken weapons. Following the repair, my character could no longer use any abilities and the game no longer properly recognized my weapon.

My weapon (Thornbound Greatsword) is present in my inventory and fully repaired (30/30 durability). Initially, the Weapon Skill Tree showed “No weapons equipped” along with missing string table UI errors, and all weapon-based abilities were unusable.

After re-equipping the weapon, the Weapon Skill Tree becomes visible, but all progression appears to be missing or reset:

Weapon Skill Points show 0/0

Weapon level displays Level 1 at 0%

Weapon skills are visible but not progressed

Other progression systems (skills and professions) also appear reset to Level 1 at 0%

Abilities remain unusable

This indicates the issue is not limited to weapon equipment, but affects the character’s entire progression and skill state.

I have already verified game files, restarted the game and my PC, re-equipped all gear, and used unstuck multiple times. The issue persists unchanged.

Based on the abnormal login behavior, void/gliding state, missing progression data, and persistence after full client troubleshooting, this appears to require a server-side character data repair, resynchronization, or rollback

If you shift left-click on the crate it will tell you the current value in each settlement location. This is not static, the pricing is dynamic based on how many crates have been turned in during the look back window. Each rarity has a different value.

Hi friends, I have a question for you. I’m a survival player and I like these kinds of games. Honestly, from the gameplay I’ve seen on YouTube of Ashes of Creation
, it looks cool. I wanted to ask those of you who have experience playing it — is it worth buying or not? Considering the difficulties in my country, this game is really expensive for me and I’d have to save up hard to buy it, so I wanted to know if it’s worth it or not.

If you're expecting a completed game, Don't buy it. Its broken buggy and in alpha. you can lose progress and are promised nothing. But its lots of fun. Once the game releases it will be a subscription to play. and if you're struggling to pay for the game now, I doubt the subscription will be anything you can afford

actually yes. They are not doing what other games do. Dynamic gridding is what they are working towards, where the boundries of the sw's are fluid as necessary. its currently not enabled.

SO how do i even join the game? I load it on Steam and nothing happens. i check System tray and the launcher is in there. I open that and it is just an AOC logo adn nothing else.

Bottom right of the launcher is where the button to play should be. If there is no button, that’s the issue you gotta try chase down. SS’s might help too, especially if there’s any errors or indicators that could help others identify any problems

@opal plover lvl 20 truly ganking will not have usable character soon. If they are baiting and you fight or you flag stupidly then thats on you. There are server issues tonight so probably less groups. I haven't fallen through the world yet update your graphics drivers. I also have summoner and yes when you go over bad terrain, ride too long, or jump off cliffs they tend to not path nice. I've only had once that it literally poofed and I think it pathed too far away

after lvl 11 you can be attacked. I have updated my card, playing on medium settings, unfortunately tons of others were also falling through with me. Might be an issue with the ember well thing or w/e it's called. It's really not an issue if there was any response from the GM's on it since you will lose materials. I submitted a bug report thought. My summons disappear within same zone all the time, even if I'm just crafting in Briar.
