Spent 9 hours to trying to connect steam account, get into the game, created a character and waiting in queue for another hour. finally got in and played for 5 mins before disconnecting and being back in queue at well over 2,000. Queues are to be expected, especially day-1.

They're also location based in-game. As more characters spread out, the queue thins out.

I don't think the queue will be a thing every day for the rest of Alpha Two. We're keeping a close eye on it in case we need to spin up new realms. If that were to be the case, we will let you know in #alpha-two-news

Uh, yeah it is. Been playing MMOs since 1997. This happens on almost every launch. Its the exact same story over and over again. Just lease a few VPS servers on a monthly contract you can use to spin off additional server load for login / capacity. Then when you dont need them anymore after the big interest spike, retire the lease. Not rocket science. This is 2025.
