@stuck notch I think Ashes is on the same boat of Star Citizen, The game is promising and ambitious, given the time and funding they have had, they are getting so much hate because of how open they are with development and tests. Given the tech that they are implementing, it's actually amazing but people cant see that because "Omahgerd I cant play properly, not enough content reeeeeeeeee" but if you look at it, the amount of players and how the queue is implemented, the server meshing, everything, no other MMO other than these two has this.

Anyone else experience all of their profession certifications being gone after the reboot? Logged in on a character and I can't do anything professions related, says I'm missing novice level 😅😵💫. Talking to an NPC to upgrade my certifications does nothing either.
The game is also not remembering my skill choices and it keeps resetting them to empty/null. Noticed my level bar at the bottom also says I'm level 1, but I'm level 7. Things got weird after the servers were turned off and back on tonight.

We opened the Vyra realm as a way to try to mitigate this. Given player population on Shol, queues are expected, especially for high traffic areas

easy to do the search sure, but the inter-communication of the SW's could be much more complex depending on which micro-service system they are using. Also, you have to consider what if all of them are busy? what does it do then? If 2 of them are available, it has to consider which embersilk to put the player at, does it kill the player like unstuck does?
in theory yea its simple but there are a ton of edge cases to consider as well.
just warping the player to the spot could cause an issue as well as they dont have any fast travel...

i hear you - i've been a game dev for 8 years, so i know there's always things to consider. the inter-comm layer of the SW has to already be in place for the game to be at this stage, so adding a query to collect # of players in a SW would be straight forward. it's a single process to query all somewhat nearby SW's for that, then loop through them and do a couple arbitrary checks (SW contains emberspring, does it have space, etc). if any found, relocate player (not an unstuck death, because this isn't something the player can choose to make use of as a teleport in a useful way)

Well it depends. See if everyone would just share exploits with the devs so they can get patched and people didn't feel some weird ego trip to necessitate providing business to gold sellers in a wiping alpha then...well...we wouldn't need to wipe at all until the majority of this testing phase concludes

Server capacity is 5k and we're technically full but depending on the time of day and standard player drop off ur friends will probably be able to get in and play

Well, there are some factors to consider. You can go to a big settlement and help maintain it and enjoy its benefits. You could also go to a smaller more fresh settlement to help shape it and be a part of it. Where you like to hang out is a big factor tho

Did your buddy pick up a type of quest? Comission specifically. I think I heard there was one that bugged you out. Try dropping them and then relogging.

nobody needs to do anything it's just far easier to organize in a seperate discord as this one is not set up for proper communication on a per server basis. If you are just playing and having fun and don't care what other people are up to then don't even worry about it.

Yeah I figured something like that. I think the toon I'm switching to is in Joeva too, which probably is worse.. It would be nice if we saw what times are before we select the toon as that can impact choice and play. Plus once in que don't want to leave.. I did that on accident one day it sucked.

Wow, someone was saying crafting salves is too complicated. You need Snow or Daff and that is all.. I mean XP scrolls only require a Ruby.. I get that the how to is shit and you have to poor thru things. But since they got rid of fuels.. soooo much easier.

The que is if your toon is in the Riverlands. If you have one up north your good.
