Server workers aka the area of the map have individual queues. If you are trying to log in to a server worker where there are a ton of people you get a queue. Make a character in the anvils if you want to play without queues.

Because you misunderstand how que works. Its based off the server worker you logged off in not the whole server. Dont log off in starter town

And if the server worker you logged off in is dead your in a dead que till its fixed.

I tried logging in to a few other servers through the Aelan gate today and they all had long qeues. You can try.
Aelan gate is default, and so everyone starts there - so that server worker gets bogged down.

Your queue is based on the server you're loggin in to... not the realm. And to clarify, Intrepid used Realm in the way some other games use the word Server

We're on the Shol Realm, but the server and server worker indicates the area you're in. So the queue is based on where you are going to show up
