Honestly wars in P1 and P2 were so much fun. Then people started the idea of “i just won’t participate” for whatever reason and they became boring and dragged on

People are fatigued and we realized participating only feeds polar, the only way to get them to leave it be is to remove any joy from it via content denial. Couple this with the fact that polar currently out gears and out levels the average player by a massive gap, and most people just want nothing to do with wars.

Theres nothing fun about being a target dummy for someone else with 0 chance of pulling a win, just to make their ego bigger.

Yea, thats definitely part of it too. The big issue is the pvp feels forced, and more of an inconvenience than anything else.

Even if we could win, theres no real benefit or gain to it, and it would be a slog, just to end up in another immediate war because polar has a tendency to do that.

Coalitions work when the perception of an even playing field exists. I think various issues with the start of the phase have many players disillusioned to the point that the aforementioned perception does not exist. People just don't care to engage when the gap is too wide, and they see no realistic way to close it.

The gear prog in this game is super shallow. Once JM benches come up, crafted gear will be relatively competitive to mob drops.

It’s really not going to be hard to catch up at that point and be perfectly competitive in PvP.

Polar knows this too, which is why they’re trying everything they can to pull up the ladder behind them before it’s once again an even playing field, lol.

Honestly. I thought the crafting was excessive at first but after getting all the materials for a JM Bow it really isn’t that crazy if you go by the idea that Legendary Items should feel legendary.

Took about 8 hours to gather the materials to craft a lvl 20 Heroic+ Spellbow. I’ve grinded for longer than that and never found a Common one.

I think the idea of "its not legendary so wont bother" is something that comes up. People stressing about making only legendary pieces, and honestly a sweet blue will be way better than shitty common lvl 0 gear.

I also got Legendary materials saved up to eventually craft that legendary bow. So…spending 24-36 hours of hard farming to craft a lvl 29 legendary weapon seems fairly inline with my expectations.

But some of the lvl 20 recipies are silly. There is no sensible reason why a bow would need 1000000 pieces of wood unless you really suck at crafting.

they need to stretch out leveling and crafting so it better ties intogether as you level. by creep power leveling scaling through dmg / ur lack of defensives ect. right now. its to quick. lvl 10 should be the first benchmark right? well it takes an hour to get lvl 10 now if u quest correctly. That would feel awful to get all your level 10 abilities then be told to go chop trees for 12 hours with their amazing crafting system. So we need to have a larger level scale so at lvl 15 or 20 we can start to force crafting

I think the answer is almost there, but the problem is how you "gate" this in a way that feels normal and natural in a world building.

You can't just increase difficulty and frustrate many people, but you should be somehow "forced" to step down a bit, look for some crafted gear, get your shit back and proceed.

This should be linking with Vera being recovered and step by step being able to expand the "recovery".

I still feel like the leveling can be reached too fast, and the way that lvl 19 mobs drops some gear - as well as a specific named, got the game tuned way differently than the expected.

With the low drop chances, me and my static stopped a bit to craft a few things just cause, and it was fun going after it.

It was not required for everyone, and for sure a few people were blessed by a nice Adept level weapon to help your groups's grind.

Once the speed from killing mobs got faster from Adept weapons, than it was almost as if back to usual (which in my pov, is not a good thing).

The problem is balancing the leveling grind and the gameplay loop to not only be engaging and difficult for sweaty hardcore players, but to also be obtainable and accessible for the casual player base.
