my true issue with people getting to the current max lvl so fast is this. Once they get max lvl they grind out all the gear while keeping anyone else locked out of those mobs/zones. This results in a huge power imbalance, and when max lvl (now whale characters) get bored they harass the casual players, which in turns makes them play less. thus the populations of the game drops, markets suffer and only people left are the whales.

it does matters so much even more since this is an alpha. this alpha will shape the beta and launch. If this isnt fixed at some point in the alpha, this game will be another flash in the pan failed mmo, lasting 3 months at most. then limping along for a few years before shutting down.
This game has so much potential to be great, even top tier. but it can easily be squandered if Steven and the Devs don't address issues that have will cripple this game at launch.

How is this an issue in an mmorpg? You want time gated weeklies with a random drop so you can get rewarded for slacking? Theres casuals and sweats in everygame and that shouldnt concern you, unless youre a sweat with less time than other sweats. Level 25 is easy to obtain with a group, slow af solo. Gathering and crafting are in a better state than phase 1/2 certainly, but there’s a lot of head scratcher recipes that makes me think they ran an algorithm to make them rather than think them out individually. Spears in particular are way off

The processing costs are prohibitive. And taxed in winstead which is even worse. It’s not fluid at all. Some adjust here and there, small ones, to costing and even nerf the exp from processing a bit, would make a big diff.
