Apparently it takes you to the level point, you certify, then one more levels you into apprentice. I still don't see how to craft the apprentice tools tho. Do you have to be apprentice weaponsmith ?
Yes, for pickaxe and 2 others
Apprentice
For apprentice tier tools
Can pay around 1g for it outright from a crafter or can give them mats for discount
when it comes to Jewler crafting i can only make cindertouch at the station but when i search my recipes is shows stillglade is one basic and one a recipe i need to find?
Do I have to be apprentice in these skills to use the scrolls? Or just lvl 10 since it says adept?
Question about animal husbandry - does the rarity of the tamed animal increase the speed of the mount you obtain or is it the same?
If you didn't figure it out already you need to buy a certificate with scripts. To start with you'll probably run commission boards to make them or buy them off the market. Then you can run from x to y. It usually involves a home of some sort due to storage but I think mostly it will be whichever route is profitable. This phase with so many people around it will be interesting to hear how the financial side pays off. More players running crates. More players hunting them.
Mount speed you can see in P menu and no difference in color for that. The rarity is for LW atm but could change in the future. It does help with BOBs tho
is higher level scribe a useful profession\ to invest into?
Are all skills decent for making money or are some significantly better?
I think so
If you're willing to dedicate a lot of time and effort to a crafting skill, they all can be good money makers. I'd suggest staying away from Leatherworking as a new player tho. Carcasses are very hard to come by right now.
alrighty got some questions... Im in Anvils... i seem to have gotten 0 tend and nothing but copper ore.... for me to lvl crafting i need tend and the only way ive gotten it is by breaking down my basalt... is this a issue or a known issue?
nm... seems that tend is in granite
Either way works - when I've got extra coin I like a little sand casino 😉
what is the default village?
sand casino?
Does anytone know where salt water fishing spawns are? im in the middle of the ocean and there are no birds indicating any fishing spots
Convert Basalt or Granite (couple others) into Sand at Metalworking bench - chance to roll some extra loots like Tendonite, Zinc, Copper, Coal or neither
does anyone know where to salt water fish I cant find any fishing nodes in the ocean
Since processing experience scrolls only last 5 minutes, do you read it before you start the craft, or before you claim them from the stations ?
Before you process
Thank you
I do kinda wish that people's alts could trade. Levelling professions and artisan stuff is slow enough that I don't see an extra need to keep crazy people from doing it
do low level metal nodes even exist in anvils? 10 hours and havent even SEEN one
Its definately making me focus my attention to one main tradeskill. I cant afford to do them all lol
Negative. You get metal from granite and basalt
Yeah you get metal from stone nodes sometimes. Better than no metal nodes spawning because people refused to mine rock nodes
like all metal? copper and tin?
Copper is in river lands rock nodes I think
damn, so starting north really wasnt the play for a casual andy lol
What do people craft to powelevel weaponsmithing
Is there a use for coal anymore?
How am i a level 20 miner but still level 9 weaponsmith XD, kinda funny wasting like 90 silver on processing minerals so i dont have money for weaponsmith then i have to sell the other mines XD
Some tips?
what is the spoils?
guys where can i upgrade my crafting prof to next level
Spoils = chance to proc extra material, so when chopping a tree to have an increased chance to get 6 instead of 5 when hitting an adult tree.
I believe it.can chain proc too, so you might end up getting seven or more, but I don't quite recall
Was searching through but don't think I found it. Do we have info on apprentice recipes for non-weaponsmith skills? I hit 10 tailoring and can't find any info on the bags or shirts
Apparently old builds got recipes from journeyman tables but that feels counter intuitive
if im new and want to level hunting is it better to start at the anvils ?
Thanks. I started to go into tailoring and crafted a bunch of the basic bags that you can’t sell and thought i picked a terrible skill to start to level as I lost all my coins I put into it. Think I choice the wrong tailoring item to craft.
Hiho!
I was hoping to get some directions on how to obtain a journeyman fishing pole...
OR if it's too far out of reach, an apprentice one.
tried to train a mount, lost the coinflip. I will never financially recover from this
is there a shared storage between characters or guilds so i can have a gatherer a processer and a crafter character?
Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the amount of settlement resource i would get from taking an uncommon settlement commodity crate vs a common one? it shows me being able to receive 75 of the resource either way but i wasnt sure if that was bugged or not.
What do we do with Construction Supplies and what do we get as reward?
what town can i craft an apprentice mining pick at?
Are harbors always going to have 50% tax?
A guild can have a guild storage shared among guild members - characters do not have shared storage.
thanks give me another reason to speedrun my guild
@fickle ravine would you know where to get the Voidbreak pick blueprint?
was told to talk to you about that, but you got DMs off
What's best way to Level Metalworking from Lvl 4 to Lvl 10? Most cost-effective
How's the economy nowadays? Quit some time ago because crafting was ass
Can somebody tell me, how much the T2 (green) Ingrediants/Material from NPCs cost? (Base price without tax)
Hello new player
, i am lost in what to do. I am reading a lot at the moment about the artisan professions but don't know where to start honestly. It just feels overwhelming.
Focus on L menu to learn about the game - you'll get lots of free stuff along the way
So, you can't mix rarities when processing to speed things up. Any common will cause everything to come out as common. So, yeah. Don't know if that's a bug, but making a heads up. I wasted all my uncommons. Thankfully I didn't use anything higher than uncommon.
Does anyone remember if when a lab is built if the vendor sells apprentice health and mana potions?
I didn't play in the past but based on everything I can gleam online, that seems to be the case
Not sure why apprentice recipes are all locked behind journeyman benches but that seems to be how it is atm
is there anything worth putting on the AH as a scribe
if you get apprentice gathering scroll I think people would probably pay for that, especially hunters
What do you craft for weapon smithing for fastest xp to apprentice? Is it still copper maces?
can we please rename raw metal to copper ore, tin ore and so on so we can search ores without getting everything tin or copper in it name 😛
Journeyman anything cannot be crafted until towns have elected mayors and they start building the infrastructure to support those stations then being built. It takes time. Contribute to towns buy orders to speed this process along and if your server has community support among mayors they may roadmap their plans to achieve this.
Does anyone know where to buy the basic apprentice recipe? like bag/shirt?
Unfortunately this is the case for apprentice too
Seems like an awful system for it
Apprentice can be crafted as soon as the settlements become villages.
Only if you learn the recipes just from getting the certificate, like weaponsmithing
There's no way to get apprentice bags or shirt recipes atm for example until journeyman textile
At least I cant find any kind of information that states otherwise
yeah it was 2 or 2.5h
So I need a lot of money for leveling this stuff I see, is Crate running really the best I can do?
Also is there a resource I can use for pricing goods more in line with the whole market and not just local prices for comparison
Is there a fishing discord that keeps up with sport fishing spots?
that would be managed in your servers specific discord if happening as each server has different spawns and thats if someone is weatching enough to track these and willing to share as remember the ocean is lawless so calling them out in public place screams pvp come kill us
Can we PLEASE get some entry level tameables in the Anvils there is VERY little, ive found two in all my 3 days of playing
PLEASE
Sent a DM re fishing
its written adept in BBOB card, what does that mean, there is no adept lvl in animal husbandry ???
I think it means that you have to be at least lvl 10 to use it
^
thxc
Do apprentice bags recipe drop from anywhere at all?
I see video where ppl buy it from npc, but i didnt found it right know...
Im afraid of investing the whole tailoring progression chain just to find out its missing important recipe lol
I believe the stand alone Tailor Building needs to be built if you can't buy them already from the Tailor Foreman or Vendor. We had a discussion earlier and I'm going to check Bonfire Village in about 30 mins as I bought novice recipes from there earlier today.
Is it still only 5 aprientice from novice?
u prop watching old videos from phase 2 ? maybe . there the appr. bag where availible to buy, but i guess this wipe is diffrent
What vendor sells the trainables? I haven't been able to find one yet.
Do you use the processing scrolls before processing or when you claim it?
And do they stack?
Processing at collection - scrolls you only ever have one active so it will remove whatever you are currently running eg 180m adv xp bonus
thanks!!
Is the recipe of the Bag and the shirt for Tailoring apprentice available in the game? and if yes, where whe can find them?
Bro why tag Steven and Margaret for that? Yes they are, they are sold by the textile mill vendors in settlements
They are devs no? i ask from yesterday and no one reply in game chat, and also on #questions
No, they're the CEO and the head of marketing.
btw i check all the vendors of the 3 city, no one sell it, is that metter of time? need to upgrade city?
The city needs to have the textile mill upgrade. Depending on your server, it may not exist yet.
Ok ty
Why Lumber Mill - I was thinking Textile Mill
Woops yeah I got confused a little, it's the textile mill. People in global chat on my server were talking about the lumber mill. Thanks for the correction!
All g - you said that first then change to Lumber and I was thinking is there a crate we need from Lumber Mill - game has many mechanics
when the Mayor starts building it will be one of the Empty Plots - get on your server discord and ask if they have a plan - you might be able to get a heads up on where to setup your Tailoring business
Anything in for Saguaro Cactus yet? I just hauled a metric ton back to Joeva for what seems like nothing... lmao
Tannery still the most hardest proffesion to exp? 800 pure carcases to lvl 10? (without scrolls)
yup! Its absolute misery to level up
Plus, the lvl 10 apprentice stuff requires certain buildings that most settlements dont prioritize, and the tanning/hunting are usually buggiest of artisan skills
good luck!
And of course they fixed all profitable spots?
like frogs near new aela
or rams in anvil
are there any crafting guides someone can point me to? ive checked all the stations and i dont know how to get started in anything
I made this. Came out to 792 power total with elevated Copper. It looks like its better than some of the adept level gear. what do you guys think it would sell for?
20s
Definitely put close to that on processing alone. How is low tier crafting supposed to be solvent, or is it never meant to be?
Anyone know if there is freshwater sport fishing in the desert?
Right now it isnt. Common adept weapons are better and easy to get.
Then the value for this would be as an item you can equip at level 1 to carry you through grinding from 7-10
You get ok weapons from destinies that get you to 10 easily.
Voidbreaker pickaxe, where Does it drop?
So for like armorsmithing, some items say they require a riverlands certificate and some say a tropics certificate. Can you get all of the certs or is this something that's going to force a specialization?
To my understanding this just means it needs to be built in that biome but i havent tested it yet
35-45s
Theres just not a huge market for initiate gear. Once someone hits lvl 10, an apprentice WS can make a default common axe with better stats for similar or cheaper
anyone know a good way to make money as a miner? ive been selling to vendor all my common and saving rare ores to sell to someone buying am I losing alot of money selling common tovendor? please help a fellow miner out 🙂
Anyone knows where are the woodshop foremans ?
Anyone know where the void pickaxe recepie drops? :/
Check your local markets and see if there's demand for the common ores. Other than that, go kill $#@& for glint like the rest of us. 😝
Most of the byproducts from mining can be processed and sold on the marketplace for a worthwhile amount more if you have the patience to sell them. Keep your uncommon primary ores (like basalt/granite) around in case it can be used for buy orders to progress your node and gain citizen reputation.
WTF.. Why I need a one more carcass for a "taned grem skin" in this case... @ebon minnow please take a look at this. I think that the carcass should be remove from the equation..
Where is a better place to whine that 95% of 1-19 crafting are deadborn on this test? As always devs don't understand their own game. Nothing changed xD
"Devs don't understand their own game"
Pleeaassseee, lmaoooo
ITS A TESTING ENVIRONMENT - Plus, half the damned things are half-baked(and stated as such by said developers), you just need to pay attention to their messaging more
1-19 is not dead on arrival
Wdym by "arrival"?
and you know what? Your take is wrong. Even year ago craft system was better with all problems with curves and 1-50 oriented stats. But now - it's just a joke. It took less 1 year to dev just to destroy everything they had in mid-level crafting xD
Better do leveling up 10 to 20 with Novice equipment or apprentice? apprentice give you more xp?
- you don't need lvl 20 till towns have no stations.
2.if you are talking about crafting - cheapest one way to continue craft novice things. You will need just x3 more you spend before. With Commissions Scrolls it's extremely cheap
lvl 10 was 40k crafting exp
lvl 20 is + 120k
I meant I have carpenter level 12 but i want to level up to 20
Do the other tanned skin recipes require additional skins and carcasses? I know other professions do(to make wooden board, you need processed lumber + raw lumber)
Agree to disagree
it is unnecessary IMO
How it could be unnecessary if you can't craft without them? 🤣
Agreement or disagreement never changes facts
where in the turquise sea do you get starfish?
Agreed
it is a kind of feedback and opinion, go to the start of the conversation stop be so cocky..
So... facts are
- you can exclude ~95% of receipts from game and it would change nothing, but clear "P" lists from pointless items
- year ago this items was a part of players experience, but now - they are not even close to be
- crafters literally have a few things to do(by "do" I mean to play and have fun) ingame in crafting system till all towns get 20+ master and grandmaster storefront expansions and even more less of thier activity needed for other players to have an ingame progression.
- All the things above were obvious before this test - but all changes are not fixing it, only making it worthless. New processing recipes are great example of brainless changes. Especially for tannery system - making leatherworking close to be impossible again. This system had a chance to work well for tannery when hunting gave more then 1 carcass, but now it's just a torture for players.
I don't think that argument like "oh they are testing" is valid here. Understanding of that this system initially wouldn't work well for game and players don't need any testing, only thinking and planning. Both of this actions was skipped by game designer who are responsible for this part of game.

So I hit level 10 armoursmith and I’ve absolutely no idea how to get promoted because the guy in the starter town in the North of the map (Helms something) won’t promote me and just ignores my request. Any advice would be appreciated.
report it in #1365478519441719377 and/or @ a community mod
Are you answering me? Is it a bug?
yes
so the cost of crafting to keep up with your level is still non existant with their "tweek to make it affordable"
explain more
i must be doing this wrong im no where near adept crafting and ive blow all the money i have
It’s cost me an estimated 8-10gp to hit apprentice in 3 production classes and 1 crafting if that helps, I assume if I was doing this in a low tax area my money would go significantly further.
I’ve made sure to use xp scrolls at all times.
I’m almost 14 in my adventuring class, so seems about right
so by the time i can make adept im 1/2 through being done using it
seems logical
its better to just farm and then worry about crafting at the end
Farming won’t pay as well as selling equipment i assume and my banks are stuffed with stuff I could have sold. I think I’ve been inefficient because I haven’t done crafting before
i understand being poor for crafters but this is beyond that... and gear selling isnt really useful till you hit adept or higher... cause anyone can craft the begining ones
sorry just venting now\
heard they helped with crafting by making things cheaper and no wood cost... and im not noticing the price
i just got done buying a bunch of lower level gear. very necessary even at lower levels
i understand that @fading reef but you can make that also
you need 0 crafting proficiency to make low lvl gear so essentually you can make it your self
So, here after nearly 6 month break, any changes to crafting system or is it still the placeholder?
personally i feel crafting needs alot of tweeking but others may tell you diffrent
You can buy the recepie for this two in the woodshop? for capentry?
?
not a fan of having to travel to different biomes just to craft different stat gear of the same tier
Anyone have a good method for leveling tailoring to level 10?
make novice chest pieces
when using a processing exp scroll, is the bonus exp determined at the start of the process or when you collect?
from my testing you just have to have scroll buf active at the time you press start job
thankyou!
Yeah pop it beforr you hit start
any suggestions for boosting arcane engineering to apprentice? or is it just pick one recipe and make 100s of them...
Start
so some of the artisan equipment wants me to collect stupid amount of carcasses
are the artisan side of the game for machocist
when jm station is open u can
Whats the best and fastest way ro level up armorsmithing? Just mass produce feets?
Are bigger bags able to be crafted yet? i see nonone selling them
Textile Mill needs to be built in Towns
feet or chest will do the job and same mats/xp ratio
the craft recipe is in line with other crafts etc the issue is hunting output isnt in line with other gathering trades thats the broken part
Are there any ways to make a profit from selling crafted or processed goods to NPCs currently? everything i've tried seems to be a gold loss and other than selling good items to other players im not seeing a good way to make a profit. Am i dumb?
NPC sales wont be profitable, selling to players can have profit selling things that people want
So a hard no on selling to NPCs
ty
yeah npc selling is more for tossing junk for a small compensation rather then profit e.g i made 150 shields for leveling and npc vendored them to get rid them and get a small chunk money but still net loss
yeah have been doing the same, just sinking a lot of gold into levelling stuff up and wondering if there's anything thats net positive
Are there really only 8 shoalskipper spawns? interactive map has 8, been looking on the coast elsewhere abd havent seen any, surely there should be more huntable spawns
no vendor net profit at any tier, novice crafts are a few things can player sell for profit but generally its a money sink to get to apprentice tier then more things are profitable selling to players or selling the service of being able to craft at that tier
thanks for your help
no problem
Is it relly best way to lvl armorcrafting to 20 just spam novice waist armor?
If you're making a lot of armor etc for levelling crafting make some deconstruction kits via Arcane Engineering. Only requires 1 each of Copper, Western Larch & Granite (Colcothar, Turpentine, Granite Grinding Stone) and gives 6 charges. You get some mats back so don't have to buy as many Shield's Final Touches for example as you get 1 back each time so can just buy 20 and keep deconstructing them. You also get mats for Tempering Kits which you can also use Arcane Engineering to make if you want to level that too.
Thanks for a tip
Are scribe recipes just a random drop or is there an area i can farm specific ones
what is a good profession for gold making 😄
Is treasure maps bugged? can´t find the dig spot, i have looked on a lot of places! 😄
Anyone know where 2 get the 2 crate mules from
Is that...underground diving? Void diving? 😆
I had read that it's just leatherworking/tanning/type processing that's ridiculously high in mat costs compared to other artisan types.
Your mom? 😛
10s for 62xp (Rams) vs 32copper and 68xp (grems) Who designed this crappy crafting system?
poor starting area noobs wanting to farm grems are not going to have any when apprentice tanners still hunt grems to journeyman, like they have for all the other phases
Looks like they might want us to do tanned t1 hides next rather than t2, which is just an odd choice.
yeah 8copper for hidecure for 81 xp (tanned grem hide)
Question, at apprentice fishing level, what kind of lure do you use usually?
the lures are purely for sport fishing they arent needing for the non sport variation besides that generally you want to use the highest one (looking at the prices) that you can afford to do
Thanks for the answer! And yes i'm talking about sport fishing (specifically in fresh water).
The question comes mostly because of the "return of investment" i mean the basic lure (costs 6 silver + taxes) gives only small walleye that sells for around 40 silver while for example the second tier goes for around 19 silver + taxes each but allows to catch also catfish and pike that sell for more (catfish around 80 silver iirc).
Issue is with the 2nd tier lure i always get the walleye and then earn less per run 😂
So I was wondering if i'm just unlucky 😂
theres 2 lures to each tier (if you wanna call it teairs) the lower one is cheaper but more consistant money for guarenteeing the low fish but is as youve said know profit range, the higher one costs a bit more and has rng chance of giving bigger fish for higher profit so its kinda risk vs reward choice between them but short answer your just unlucky getting the walleye instead the higher fish
Thanks!
where the tool belt crafted from, anyone know?
Hey any idea where to get moonstrider mule?
recipe will require certain town buildings to be built before they are sold
i think belts are textiles (tailoring) i believe to craft
well the artisan belts are
Belts are armorsmithing
What is up with crafting stations and not being usable for long period of times?
What would ya'll price a stack of common lettuce?
is there a commissions board, specific to crafting/gathering?
Gathering yes - crafting no. Grab all the gathering ones you can and save up completing them till you have a bunch. Pop a 5min Adventure XP bonus scroll and collect them all
Ultimate satisfaction right there
see. i thought there was.. and then i couldn't find it again.
and thats good to know i can use an adv xp scroll right before turn in
Maybe you're thinking of the Destinies quests in the L menu?
noo. i mean i thought i had found a commissions board that was for 'crafting'.. version the standard commissions board.
bc i had a bunch of commissions for just gathering.. and then i went to go try to find it again.. and i couldn't. so then i thought maybe i was delulu

i believe ive heard mention that a crafting board was a want but hasnt been added yet so far theirs mayor commissions (town buffs), and then the kill mobs board, gathering board and the explore certain area board
Yeah I suppose some of the Requistions are crafting of sorts - like farming or metalworking or alchemy for certain turn ins - you can see them in the N menu @pearl ivy
i do see what your saying but i remember way back (maybe im just remembering wrong) there was talks that theres be 4 commission board and we have the other 3 and 3rd was meant to be craft 2nd division cape kinda hand ins but isnt something thats ever been added yet
anyone know where to get moonstriders?
anybody know why I cant upgrade my 4th artisan gathering to apprentice? I click promote on Mining and nothing happens, I hit promote on fishing and nothing happens. Im lvl 10 locked at xp gain
Any tips for leveling weaponcrafting quickly/efficiently? Gotta craft me one of these ASAP
Till your town gets a stand alone Smithy there won't be such a rush
How do we go about getting apprentice scribe xp scroll recipes?
Saw some posted but no table is up yet so I assumed it is from elsewhere
Pretty critical bug to be aware of (I've reported it but more of an FYI here):
Consuming scrolls of bonus xp (I used Commissions Scroll of Processing XP) while having a crafting station UI open (I had Animal Husbandry open) will instead remove the entire stack of scrolls from your inventory, essentially voiding them.
does wayward sword cap out at rare? i have all heroic mats for it but it still just shows up as rare when i go to craft it
That's most likely because of the essences being required as quality ingredient. They're supposed to be a basic ingredient so they won't affect the crafting rarity, but the recipe seems to be bugged.
Makes sense
thanks!
Quick question. When it comes to leveling armor smithing should I be selling all the common mats and using greens/blues/purples for leveling or hold onto those for later and use white mats for leveling?
personal choice, i level with white (and occasionally greens) for leveling and hold the rest for when crafting gear for use or to sell to players but you can sell mats at all tiers if you would like as other crafters will by to level or craft with as well
Do you get more xp for crafting higher tier items?
i havent tested this phase so cont confirm on that, i know gatherint the rarity gained does but dont know on crafting but with the higher rarities being harder to stack quantity i would level with it
I'm hopping on right now and I'll let you know
i got some heroic apprentice gathering scrolls made any idea how much to sell em for?
DO you craft the apprentice sickle at a tier 2 herbalism NPC? and if so, where is there one located on Lyneth server? i cant get any information about this in game
i've spent 2 days trying to find this information. i've herbed so much i can almost go Journeymen but i still can't herb Apprentice herbs..
WS makes it at their station, needs stuff from MW station as well. Search in WS for recipe
Fast way to level leatherwork?
Let someone else do it 😉
But probably something with gremskins
You do not get more xp for using higher quality mats sadly
So crafting should be leveled with just white garbage
just processed basalt into sand. the white got me 96xp and the green got me 134xp, so I'm assuming you will get more xp for crafting higher tier items
made zinc fragments, white gave me 96xp and green gave me 134xp
so green over white is viable for leveling but the blue or higher i peronally will keep for craftd of things to actuallu use given higher rarities are harder to get in bulk
chest piece spam seems to be the best for the armor trades but leather working is bit harder as hunting imo is lacking in amount of resources you can get vs the herbs or metals for other armor weights
I'm gonna test it for armor smith belts as well and let you know
a white 2nd sword division belt gave 253xp and a green one gave 253xp, so for processing the materials it looks like green is better, but for actually crafting it'll be like @novel surge said and craft with white items
Looking to get Baby Cow. I don't see any Agricultural Supply Vendors or anyone else who might sell this or the baby chickens.
then with how much white items you get from gathering you'll be able to craft a lot more than with the green items
Just necroing this conversation, but processing gains bonus so from rarer crafts, Crafting does not(from my experience)
yeah crafting doesn't give more exp, so I'm just going to using all common stuff and saving blues and above to craft the gear I'm going to be wearing
May I ask how often fishing activities occur?
Isn't it that one?
It can be used for both fishing and carrying goods, but two fish boxes should be placed instead of fish guns
Don't you lose the boat and have to buy again if it gets broken?
seems like a bad deal
We were going to make a fishing boat together and go out to sea for fishing, but now we haven't even found any freshwater fish
Si is the armorsmithing expansion a seperate building the city needS?
city just got smithy but cant buy belt recipes yet even though im 20 AS
so to do armorsmithing, I'm assuming I need to max mining and that, then I need to apprentice metalworking, lumberjacking, stonemasonry?
Is it just me, or does some of this early crafting / hunting needs an overhaul?
I just want to craft some basic starter waist light armor for example. But it requires Raven or Grem skin - which i have searched for hours now. It shouldnt be this depressing to craft a lvl 1 light armor.
Has anyone been able to find alchemy recipies? I'm lvl 17 and almost JM alchemy, but haven't found any additional recipies beyond what you're given for apprentice
May I ask if 25g of fishing boat materials will affect the quality?
You need the Laboratory Building to be built in a Village
So there is no drops like other skills then?
no idea, you'd have to dig around the P menu or the Ashes Codes
anybody know if the apprentice bag recipes are in the game?
Need Textile Mill Building in Village
Carpentry & Leatherworking can also make them so for example on Lotharia since Joeva has the Woodshop levelled you can make apprentice bags via that
Does Smithy unlock some as well? or Ag Supply? Shol feels so far behind EU
Nope only proffs that can make bags are Tailoring, Carpentry & Leatherworking but you will need the Building for the recipes
Thanks for that info
ok ty
Does your bait also need to be taxed at 50%?
Ive submitted a milling job and I can't claim it. My bags are completely empty - any idea how to resolve this?
I havent sent anything to the warehouse ever - what options are there for bigger bags?
I think apprentice Lumberjacking bags will get you there since they have an extra slot. Did you make it in a town or the starter area?
Im in Joeva
You should be able to send it to storage then provided there's space. Is yours full?
I looked for Apprentice bags when I went to the Farm the other day, all I saw was the novice satchels still.
My storage is full, yes. You can send things from tradeskill tables directly to your storage?
Ive only seen inventory and warehouse and I assumed the warehouse was something different
Yes but you need space
Ok, looks like I got a major problem to sort out today - thanks for the suggestion
Got it sorted out - thanks again, appreciate the guidance
Hi, does anyone did calculations on storage types?
It seems general fits more ores/stones then the mining type.
Is it true for other types as well?
Or there is some cases when specialize one provide more capacity ?
As far as I'm aware the specialized types of storage have been bugged ever since Alpha started so you're better off just selecting General
please people in charge allow us to return the Caravel for a Corsair
Guys, i have a question, how do i make a blue crate? do rarity material actually make a "blue" crate, or is price just updated dependng on rarity you put inside and is still a "gray" crate
are making treasure maps bugged or am i doing something wrong
Is something going on with getting Docile wolves? I can sitin a spot killing them for an hour+ and not get a single one to pop
How much copper do you think I get for mining this?
Rare materials
And cert
It has to be all of it
Is there a place I can look for like a general guide on crafting etc?
I feel like Im doing something incredibly wrong.
Mining is level 20, all with a novice pickaxe, and Im always low in Silver to buy stuff, or craft more.
Am a bit lost here
How can I get this ? Where do I find this mount
Oh they are ingame thn.
does anyone know if you can buy a ship from one harbor master and buy a different one from another
i accidentally purchased the caravel thinking it was for fishing and its not, am i completely screwed?
or can i try to buy a corsair from another harbor
Buy ship from harbor
how do i get these recipes ?
where do you talk to the guy about metalworker upgrade?
Textile mill vendor sells them, town needs to build it first, maybe need to upgrade it as well not sure
whats the benefit you get leveling up like for example hunting between each upgrade like 11-12 om hunting does that make any difference or not until i get to journeyman
The logic behind that does not make any sense. Towns get all Apprentice Shirts but not the vendors with the apprentice recipes. They need to upgrade to Journeyman, built the specific building on Journeyman so we get access to the Apprentice recipe. Totally free of logic
Can you level up fishing to apprentice? If so, do I speak to someone at the harbor?
i think you can talk to the cook foreman or whatever it's called
Just lost about 80s because the line on my fish snapped 3 times, BECAUSE THE FISH SOMEHOW TELEPORTS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKIGN MAP
Someone can tell me where i can farm apprentice bags recipes thx ?
#alpha-two-artisan-chat message convo last night for you
anyone having trouble crafting a map? The craft button just flickers and never crafts it.
This is all it does
Why cant I upgrade my mining artisan? Im lvl 10 but the npc does nothing when I click promote
Does anyone know which stats are in demand? I'm making Apprentice food. There's a lot of variety in stats to choose.
It seems likely there is no artisan yet. We can't get Journeyman tools so there are some limitations they are not letting us advance as much.
what? There are already other people at Apprentice mining and there are apprentice pickaxes. The stonemason NPC in bonfire doesnt let me upgrade
I didn't understand your question before. If you are a level 10 'Miner' then it should promote.
I know lol but it does not. I click promote and nothing happens
It "should" be working, some people have had to go down to the riverlands to do it though, Anvil artisan promoting is iffy
Not sure if this is the correct channel, if not I am sorry 🙂 I was wondering were the Recipe of the Apprentice Mining Bag that the Tailor can craft can be retrieved? I know, that the Carpenter can do it already but since it would provide Gathering Quality instead of Speed it would be the better Bag.
You might be waiting on Textile Mill for all of the recipes - just gotta wait for a Mayor to build one on your server
How do we get the Fishing boat for 17g? I cannot see it at the harbor vendor
you need to show the vendor that you have 25g but don't buy that one - also fyi you die at sea the boat is gone
I had 30g at vendor though
hmmm - all the parts?
Didnt have the hull on me. is that needed also to show?
and also server down in 9mins
had the same behavior while crafting a spellbook... it eventually worked after moving in a little closer, not sure if it was related
hello, what do you mean by this??
horses are the easiest to find and get i think
I dont think you can fail hunting a horse you get a trainable every time however you probably wont make money
have you already 5 other artisan proffesions leveld up? We can only have 5 in total.
oh anvils my bad..yeah no clue 😂
Is this just for crafting or all gathering and process too?
For everything.
You can never be self sufficient on one character. need alts for supplies
Yes, unless your guild allows 2 character in. Then guild storage cn be used to transfer
the "basic" ingredients are only available from npc vendors right?
Look in the P menu tool tips for the recipe you are making. What's the current thing you're looking for?
how much would common braidwood sell for now?
stuff like books final touches, glowroot grind, water, stuff like that
Yeah Scribe/Alch vendor will sell at starter zone plus 2 of those at the General Vendor in a Village. I think the Books can only come from the starter zone till the specific building is built in a Village.
Ohh okok, I was looking for the specific vendors in the village im in but didn't realize there was a general vendor too
thank you!
how does sport fishing work?
anyone done a treasure map yet ? is the map they give you supposed to reflect the outline of something in the circle ?
Bump. This doesn’t seem right that other people get access to apprentice recipes in bonfire but tailors don’t
Soo question. I know I can have 5 artisans at apprentice, but can I level all 5 of them to the highest rank too?
Or do I only have 5 upgrades available?
we can have 5 apprentice 4 journeyman -https://ashescodex.com/artisan/profession-planner
Plan your grandmaster, master and other professions in Ashes of Creation.
the image yes is meant to draw some shapes and an X to show the treasues location but seems this one bugged out, there should be a circle on the map for the rough area of it if you wanna go there and try and spot the thing without the image to help but can be hard sometimes
bor sure on your server or the upgrades on that server but the tailoring, leatherowrking and woodworking bag recipes are dependant on what town as the upgrade building for that crafting type but the starting areas (which i believe bonfire is) will only ever have novice recipes not the apprentice ones
yeah ok ty. the others i did were fine. ty for reply
All good, as soon as you start the quest the mound is spawned so yeah can use main map and just search the area. kills the fun and cn be hard but only current workaround i know
i found at night the area was glowing red.
found all of them
Why haven't I found any fishing activities at sea?
I made a boat with 25 gold coins, and when it came ashore, it disappeared ????
How are people planning their professions? I would have thought you could be a Grandmaster Gatherer, Processor, and Crafter (1 each). Do people tend to keep GM for Crafting? Or does GM for Gathering make sense?
gathering quality doesnt seem to have much effect 🙁
how do I repair gathering tools? I go to the station where I can craft a replacement but don't see a repair option anywhere
vendor, bottom left
what does enchanting do
who drops or who sells the apprentice mining mattock recipe?
Anyone know what's required for the vendor to sell journeyman carpenter bag recipes?
slightly bumps up stat numbers on the item for each enchanting tier but as tiers go up it has higher chance of failure and can eventually risk losing the item completly at higher tier failure
need a master rank bench as the recipes follow one tier behind the bench
Awesome bud, thank you!
lame balls thank u very much
Bought some heroic zinc on market from random players and 60 or so of it will not work at the smithy or stack, anyone know of fixes or what caused this, it was all from random people
i was having similar issues trying to use basalt at an npc, but i was trying to exchange buy orders and it wouldn't put all the mats in correctly, or wouldn't turn it in after pressing exchange. might be related, i recall others saying they were having npc interaction problems when it comes to having to put mats into a menu
anybody know where the rootforged recipes drop?
trying to get that going but I can't seem to figure that out
how much should i sell dried boards? prices are all over the place
I really dont see crafting being even worth it in this game to be honest. The name of the game is Levels. A lvl 25 will shit on a geared 1-20. Ive spent days getting mats to craft a heroic Adept bow when I could have just been lvling and gotten a white drop which is so much better. The crafted gear will never matter until 50 and by then its whatever
Hi what kind of artisan skills goes well with cooking?
does the relic buff give more quality rating if you are citizen of the node?
hey guys wanted to ask is there a place to hunt moonstrider or is it optainable some other way ?
you buy them from npcs
which npc ? cause i know the daystrider is from herbalism vendor but haven't seen moonstrider
npc in Miraleth next to the AH, Animal Husbandry. Oh it also depends on what server youre on
im on tenok
probably need agriculture supply in town huh
look for a settlement with Agricultural supplies as the service provided
yeah
well that sucks my server got really fucked by the xp stops we had only 2 towns 😄
we a bit behind xD
I'm curious what people are pricing their tier 2 food at. Didn't mean that for you specifically.
hello guys
anybody know where the rootforged recipes drop?
Do you know where i can find apprentice recipes for tailorer? ( apprentice leatherworker's shirt , herbalist shirt etc)
I cannot find any droplist
i would like to know shirts and bags as well however im wondering if the journeyman tailor vendors have em.. which on shol nobody has done yet
That is correct unfortunately
Tailoring was the first thing I rushed to 10 and was very sad to find that out
Go look in Mira and Joeva for recipes - some bags are being advertised so there are some recipes available in those buildings but the majority will come when the Textile Mill is built
Hi, if im a citizen in Jeova, how much more expensive (if at all) is it going to be for me to craft in for example Halcyon?
Would it be just better for me to move citizenship somewhere else in that case?
They aren't dropped recipes atm. Assuming you're Lyneth at least, bags are coming from Mira because of the carpentry station. bags can be made by leatherworking, carpentry, and tailoring
Taxes and such are based on the town itself. I believe citizenship immediately is for the extra storage and the boons at the start
praise the sun, goodbye to the lag city, welcome freedom
Yeah I really wish I could leave Joeva. But textile mill is being built there rn
where you can drop these recipes ?
i cannot no find droplist
Is there a recipe for rations or can you only buy them atm it shows as you can make them at novice but they don't show up at tables
should be in the cooking table
Do guilds start with guild storage, or is it an unlock? I don't see any tabs.
guild leader needs open a storage, i was open first guild tab in main town free
Maybe its because we are in anvils it doesn't work
i have heard a bunch recipes having regional item substitutions that arent avaliable but this is first not having any recipe ive heard but yeah could be a thing
How does the GM open storage? Need to buy something somewhere?
it displays as needing some ticket thing but when i clicked to buy tab (more to work out what the ticket was) it gave the tab so thats what my guild been working with
Weird, I dont see any option to buy tab, im the GM. Bugged?
Can you tell me where is hunter apprentice trainer? on prev alpha it was cookstation but now i cant find him
mine didnt have the current numb/max numb at the bottom mine showed 0/1 at the time so i would say theres desync and its not loading correctly atm and all servers are reporting stability issues atm so might be a try again later thing and it will work
Gotcha, ty!
which area are you in?
all good, sorry i couldnt help more
aela
idk what server your on is any town has cookhouse for that otherwise should be npc at avens end that can promote for you
There is no droplist but you can check through the profession pages to see what items they have. Anything that is highlighted or "already known" will be unlocked as soon as you have the tier of crafting for it
Anything else is from a vendor or a drop. We just happen to know that the bags/shirts/tools are from the journeyman vendors even though they are apprentice recipes
where is the guy that gets me apprentice hunting?
Where do you get the scroll of inteligence recipe
Any fishing groups/discord?
hey im trying to upgrade my weaveing cert im lvl 10 but it wont let me at the fashion specialist
how many apprentice skills you already got?
2 in processing 3 in gathering
Full House sir no more skills
o
i guess my tree cutting days are over
Always alts but you'll need your guildmates to help transfer items around
so how many alts do i gotta make to get them all
i got used to useing chatgpt LOL
each to what level?
cause if to apprentice 5
if to JM youll need 6
if to Master youll need 8
if to GM you need 11
this is characters total not alts
is it even worth it to go beyond JM in this alpha ? isnt the highest gear radint atm?
sport fishing power increases by 10 per level so at least for fishing its worth to go to 50
i imagine there are things like that for other professions though
so its better for a crafter to get 4jm and 1 apprentice
my crafter alt is doing JM in weaponsmithing armorsmithing carpentry and metalworking and then apprentice lumbermilling
i like you allready
might swap out armorsmithing for stoneworking but idk yet we shall see
Multiple accounts / rigs @raw linden ?
idk i got weapon to apprentice then demoted it because either u make pickaxes or its not worth it
nah im just retired and therefore get to play a lot so i like to do everything crafting related and fish but i dont really do other gathering

tbh armorsmith and weaponsmith are in a tough spot because the crafting is sooo costly and the gear u make drops from mobs
yeah thats why i fish in the meantime but ill be waiting for the day when HumbleSmith can make stuff for people xD
Yeah just curious how people do it all. I'm kinda content with the freshwater sports fishing, semi afk fishing and some gathering. Making enough gold to buy stuff without having to stand in a corner somewhere
I mean yes, but you can theoretically mass craft epic gear as long as you can afford the resource cost, whereas like... how often does epic gear drop from mobs?
yeah im not making a 140 ingot weapon for 40 silver lol
gahtering tools are where its at for carpentry and weaponsmithing
true but its only goood for radint because adept and initite are just a phase where radint is max gear
idk how is the plan to fix armorsmith and weapon but hope its good
me too
plenty of people still buy apprentice gear
i also just made a dude on Pelune instead of Shol so i can dodge stupid queue times when thats happening ima be a hunter and animal husbandry guy on there
idk if its crafted because the same apprentice gear drops from mobs 10 to 19
or even higher quality initiate, for alt characters
this might be good because initite is ALOT cheeper to make
theres almost nothing at novice tier worth buying outside of xp scrolls at apprentice most things can be sold for profit if not net 0
scribe is 2 easy hope they nerf it because every craft just needs 1 item ......
people will 100% spend money to avoid the grind time, or to speed up their TTK so they can get exp quicker
scribe scrolls xp potions gear form mobs u dont need to craft unles high tier radint for post-endgame
true but i mean i made a fighter and within 20 minutes before server went down i had full novice armor from quests the wanderer longbow and mukmaws greatsword its not hard to get gear from 1-10 so the novice crafting is not actually saving any time, at 10-25 yeah it saves time but the issue i see is that novice tier is still useless in the game they havent figured out early game crafting yet to make it feel worth doing outside of a grind to apprentice
i mean i dont understand why every craft is ez except the most important ones which are armorsmith and weaponsmith
u can make rings for just 5 ingots adpet
I think some of the novice grind could be mats needed for the apprentice grind. So all those things you buy from the vendors you make yourself. You still need the skill up to progress but you aren't making a ton of junk that just gets tossed
in my opinion they coule fix the weapon and armorsmithing grind by making it so that in order to repair weapons and armor you had to have a appropriatly high weapon or armorsmithing level and make repairing give marginal xp toward it
and maybe make it cost 1 or 2 copper frags or whatever
instead of the gold cost
yeah thats interesting imagine ppl looking for a dwarf to repair their gear LOL
i agree mostly yeah
so whats the consensus about fresh water fishing and lures? over time is it worthwhile to use the better and more expensive lures or just better to make the stable income off of the lowest tier?
if your purchasing lures at a harbor for freshwater spoon lure is best value if your at a city with a sport fishing vendor so you dodge those 50 percent taxes the crank becomes worthwile since at minimum you break even with a chance at medium fish but for best gaurenteed profit i still think spoon is best
@bold compass
Anyone know where Alpine Baghorns spawn?
fair, and are we talking the cheapeast in these tiers or the more expensive variety?
spoon is novice tier 2 crank is apprentice tier 1
the apprentice tier 2 worth trying? Also hi choppa its Bearwizard 🙂
basically math for my reasoning is
spoon cost: 15ish silver
gets walley through pike walleye sell for 35 cat and pike sell for around 50s -1g depending on size
crank: cost 35s: catches small or medium of all the fish types so minimum you break even and can buy back your lure and max i think the medium pike will sell between 1.5-2g
i dont think it is i could see an argument for the JM lures because the shot for titanic which ive seen selling for up to 5-6g but the 2nd apprentice one i dont think is worth at all
have you done any salt water fishing?
a bit yeah
whats the sell prices compared (roughly) to freshwater? 2x 3x?
roughly 20-25 percent more
well that hardly seems worth the risk at all
unless its more common to get bigger fish
the thing that makes it worth is with the corsairs radar there are enough fishing spots and more storage on the boat with increased speed you can fish more fish per hour the per fish sell price is 20-25 percent more but the quantity and speed of selling the fish is likely going to be 3-5 times faster
So make everyone do those trades or have people lose their weapons/armour.. yeah I don't see that being the answer
i mean i already give mats to someone else and trust they will process it and give it back to me there isnt much difference or maybe make it like a trade window type thing so that the person getting it fixed never loses contact with the item
could have an option in your actual shop/freehold to add a repair ui similar to the one with the npcs, that can repair gear up to your crafting level or smth
and limit the level of gear npcs can repair
Processing your paying them and that's less incentive to steal plus how much legendary Mats have you handed to someone so far...
Your both over complicating an already stressed game/server/systems.. I'm all for discussions and will discuss but I'll be surprised if any of this is how they actually do it
ive handed epic to people to craft gathering tools for me before and its absolutley stressful whether they will make the thing and give it back its litterally no difference here if someone steals your shit you call them out and ruin their reputation so that they cant make any money off their crafting any more
it'd just be taking an already existing money sink and moving it from requiring npcs to players at higher levels, aka more player-based economy flow

which i'd prefer over just going to literally any npc on the map and not interacting with other players
Om the face it's simple on the backend it's alot more interactions and handshakes which is more server stress and by copy-paste the vendor repair to player store is just Gunna be literally every player Gunna make store just for repairs and that's just Gunna further clutter the marketplace system.. I get what your trying for but don't see it being as effective as you think
Craftable and sellable repair kits would achieve that better
i could live with a repair kit crafted by weapon and armorsmiths for on the go repairing of weapons and armor
I don't know what input materials I would suggest for the recipe but intrepid prefer effect and feeling feedback rather then straight numbers so I would leave recipe to them but I do feel repair kits would feel fair to both sides the equation and may even be enjoyed more as can repair out in the field which allows for more time out mob grinding before having return to town for repairs or more gathering before repairing
id hope for it to be semi cheap relative to every level and require novice for novice weapons apprentice for apprentice ones and so on but hopefully be relitively cheap at each level so they can be produced at a highish quantity maybe making it so that lower rarity repair for a smaller amount of durability and higher do more idk
Ah, yeah, I can agree that'd be better
I misunderstood what you meant by "over complicating"
Your all good I welcome calm healthy discussion as we all are having here and yeah over complicating I meant by adding to much extra systems or adding to much backend processing (seeing as servers are already stressed) to the development process seeing as the team already has a massive list of other thing to add to the game fixing one issue by adding new thing in just creates the endless development cycle that leads to game never completing
Where i can find/buy baby chicken/cows ?
Ag Supply I believe - your server needs to have built one tho
ok thx
does better quality material make the items better?
if i made green or blue quality thread would the bag have more slots?
So, do we still need to grind gold for the privilege to grind crafting?
A bit? but crate runs aren't hard to do and should give you plenty to fund your crafting
Not for this particular bag
already figured that out unfortunately 🙂 wasted some blues
Same haha was one of the first things I crafted
now I'm running around with this... or WALKING raither. filled with greens
no clue where i'm suppose to take it lol
you wanna take it to one the player owned towns and when they have building construction you cand eposit it into the building to help build it (note each building takes certain amount and type of crate so not every one will take herb crate but there are ones that will) if town doesnt have building you can deposit to run now you can store it in storage in that town and grab it to use later
hippo leather ontainable?
Do we know if dropping your certification reduces your level?
Like if I have 11 scribe, but want to process boards and need to drop scribe to novice to bump lumber to apprentice, will scribe be 10 when I bump it back?
It should drop you to 10 so you can cert back up right after you just lose any xp past 10 when you drop same with anything over 20 if you drop JM to app
Thanks! Thats what i was thinking. Sounds like if I am going to juggle anything then it should be processing since I dont think I have to worry about getting those above apprentice for a while
what I normaly do is juggle with my 5th app. I normally get all other things to atleast 10 so i can pop up to app for anything I need and relay on others when I need higher
Yep exactly. I want to focus primarily on tailoring but would like to get lestherworking up a bit too. So both of those would be leveled as well as herbalism and lumberjacking
Actually just herbalism
So tailor, LW, herb, and weaving would keep leveling. Then id juggle lumberjacking, lumber milling, and tanning probably
fun times. Was hard when I started here after being a Omni crafter in FFXIV and have crafting alts in wow
Lol yep im used to alts in wow and this is my first ashes experience
Was considering an alt for processing/crafting but moving money is a bit of a pain
finally got one above green only took 300 fir trees -.- what to do with 1500 white/green fir wood, 500 lumberjack quality bonus too .....
green is the new epic, blue is the new legendary with the adjusted drop rates.
I love it personally.. it will probably take a month+ to see the first legendary weapon on the server which is perfect.
Yeah I have to learn to adjust my mindset for this game lol. To make a set of adept gear is something like 400 tanned wolf hide. Even just getting that to blue (still droppable) feels like it'd take an insane amount of time and epic feels like it'd be nearly impossible
But I had also realized that mob grinding would likely take even longer for that same full set. And I assume the game also isn't balanced around everyone having rare+ gear
they need to up the effect of quality rating going from 0 to 500 quality rating basicly just gave me 10% more greens and nothing else seems to have gotten effected.
like Epic lumberbags, rare lumberkacj shirt/pants should get blues somewhat decently for apprentice and below wood
Im still not 100% sure what, if anything, quality for crafting does lol
makes ur quality bar go higher
I think its just higher rolls on the crafting range. Would be neat if it was same as gathering though
What bar?
Quality rating, rarity calculator and material breakdown for any crafted item in Ashes of Creation.
so 1000 quality would bump a craft with all white to green and 10% towards blue
Thank you! I didnt know about this but was under the impression it used some type of point system like the current WoW system
Also hadn't checked codex since I believe they are no longer maintained as of August
basicly gear a slider a high quality white will be a smidge below thebsdtats of a green
Yeah thats what I was thinking initially for quality
all green with 0 quality bonus will be 0% green
Like if a stat can roll 200-250, high quality is going to be closer to 250
letys say a weapon has 1000 dmg at green a white at 99% will be 999 dmg basicly where a 0% green will be 1000 but a 99% green might be 1100
Perfect, that is exactly what I was thinking it was. Nice to know it works toward mixing item qualities too
that calulator reasonably accurate it off a little bit now it seems though in some crafts but u can plug u pieces in to see where u end up with missmax colours
Also processing spoils doesn't proc nearly as much as id hope lol
Yeah even if it isn't 100% accurate, its nice to have a general idea
i know trade packs dont seem to be accurate some times which is a pain cause u wanna hiut the next colour for better loot with minimal resources
The commodities?
yeah the crates u take to other towns they sell for more if there higher green or blue compared to white
but a blue 99% will sell the same as a blue 0% so u kinda wanna use the leaste mats to just edge it over the colour bracket
Oh I totally forgot about that. Ive only ever done 1 run for those before tbh
Anyone noticing worse rarity for harvesting today?
So, do you need to use processing xp scrolls before putting the stuff on the bench or before retrieving them? Ive heard contradictory advices on this
processing scroll when u start, adventuring XP when u remove it
ah, might be the source of the confusion, ty
I really gotta remember to use my scrolls
What would be best recipe to level cooking/farming/alchemy from 10 to 20?
For cooking I was doing agave syrup, but wondering if theres something better or that I can reuse in other recipes from other professions
Is coal used for anything yet?
Think for JM metalworking to make steel
You can also use the coal as a "rock" component when making crates
What price are people selling the tier 2 food at?
ive tried to find roasted chicken but no luck yet
Are there any uses for this low tier jewelry other than vendoring it? Feel like I'm mass producing at a massive loss just to get exp
what happens when i decrese a certificate?
Is it possible to have livestock ? And if yes, how ?
Does anyone know where the voidbreak pickaxe recipe drops?
guys, where i can get carpenter bags recipes? apprentice. newb ones huh? nm, found it in jm carpenter vendor
Anyone know where moonstrider mule hunt spawns?
farming vendor
not the novice mule the apprentice one i mean
ya ive been answering about that mount man
we have it on our server. vendor, near JM animal husbandry
ah has to be the one in the town right?
not the one in briamor or avens end
yea
cool cool thanks for letting me know
How do I know what city is in which 'biome'? Because sunwrought can not be crafted in miraleth for example
It is kind of just learning it. I would guess based on name, that would be done in the desert
Called "Sandsquall Desert"
Riverlands is our whole southern spawn area, desert is obvious, I believe Jundark is all south of the mountains, turquoise sea being all of the coastal zones, and anvils are north of shorefoot
@marsh vigil i have no way to actually test this so i thought i'd just ask does fishing quality increase the likelyhood of getting better fish during sport fishing i.e. my fishing quality is say 500 i now have a lower chance to get a walleye vs a catfish as an example
im only asking here because i see no viable way for me to definitively test this outside of catching 100+ fish with 2 different rods and taking the avg for each set of data and even then that might not be a big enough sample size to accuratly and definitivly state yes or no to my question
Hey folks, I stored 100 processed Ash Timber in my Miraleth Bank (the one you get for being a citizen) and now my citizen bank is just... missing?
I didn't even know we got a citizen bank account so I just wanted to check - are we supposed to get that benefit?
thank you
relogging can fix citizen issues but you should still be able to see the extra bank tab but greyed out
you trying to sell that timber when you get it back xD
are there more than the 6 Shoalskipper spawns that are on the interactive map or are those the only ones?
Press N, you might’ve gotten the bug where you randomly drop citizenship. That loses you access to the citizen storage. But it’s all still there for when you become a citizen again.
Actually yeah. I'm in Lyneth.
I'm horrible and didn't state that Choppa fixed it with the relog.l
Oh rip I’d buy if you were shol
does processing xp scrolls apply to husbandry or do i need to specifically do a husbandry xp scroll?
Hit P and see what the skill is classified as. Generic craft/gather/process exp buffs apply to all skills in that category. Just make sure you activate the scroll before you begin processing.
I thought it was before you claim it? 👀
I dont think so. Someone tell me if im wrong tho cause I always use them before I put in the buy order 😭
Are bank boxes in the game? What are they called?
Desperately need to upgrade my storage
hey guys can anyone tell me what "Carapace Stingers" are for?
what crafting produces the most gold
Journeyman of almost anything will make money as far as novice crafting i think scribe is probably the only reliable money making an even then not much for apprentice again most things will profit
Thank you
apparently some commission from the desert
Anyone on here level 10+ hunting that i could dm. After some advise on how you got there
it will be green
not me, but a guildie is like 15+ right now and is admittedly strangely addicted to the gameplay loop for it lol. they explored and found routes on their own and kill the mobs in rotations on those routes for the huntable spawns
yeah excellent! i appricate you getting back to me, thats kinda the information i was after. i expect that i will have to do the same. ive attempted to compete for grem at the starting zone but its to tedious and being on internet i have such a disadvantage with the playerbase
yea they kinda said the same, early on you're fighting with other hunter gatherers over contested clusters of those spawns. getting some levels to safely explore a little further from our area seemed like it helped a lot but it's truly on you to scout your own preferred areas haha
ashes codex interactive map might even be of use. don't use it much so can't speak to how much it'll help tho sorry
Is the codex map still up to date in terms of the locations of all stones/metals/gems?
In game there "rough rime" cant find it on that map tbh
I have been using it for flax and for now seems up todate. From my small sample size everything is truely static and should spawn where they say
rough rime is an anvils only resource that drops from mining stone
what is the best thing to craft to level up weaponsmithing?
can we have bags for processed materials please id like to be able to hold a bunch of timber after its been processed or make it so processed materials stack properly in the gathering bags
id also appreciate if any of the correlated skills made it so you can wear higher level bags like a JM carpenter should be able to use JM lumberjacking bags
any 1 else find that wolfs arnt repopping in usual spots
whole sephillion been empty last night on P. they still have problems with respwns
If anyone on Lyneth wants to buy some Ash Timber I have 100+ to sell for 1s a piece. Stored in Miraleth
is anyone able to craft a weapon from the Forsaken set?
Just like RL, nobody wants my wood 😭😭🤣
Does anybody know where can I upgrade fishing from apprentice to journeyman? (I have leveled it alredy to 20)
Same guy all the way to 50
Ah great, thx a lot!
It’s like he’s been summoned by the question
It’s honestly true as soon as I sat down I saw the chat light up
Another question, what kind of lure do you stick with when fresh water sport fishing?
Spoon lure is the best in my opinion but if you buy in Mira I’m on shol but in whatever town has the cookhouse crank lure ranges from break even to a few gold in profit
If buying at the harbor spoon is best
So do they eventually plan on equipment being destroyed, maybe only being able to repair it so many times? Or do they expect the item economy to just die after a certain period of time with hand me downs.
Just wondering if anyone remembers any input about this in the past
I wish crafters could make lures
Me too
Fishing is great, and cool that they added it before the big steam push, but you can tell they have not finished tying it into the rest of the game because its kind of its own stand alone
Yeah I agree I also believe it’s as profitable as it’s ever going to be rn it will only be nerfed in the future
I wouldnt mind it being a stand alone system. Every system in ashes is connected somehow and that gets tedious for the dev and the player.
Even just making it so a weaponsmith or arcane engineer could make lures would be enough connection and outside of that giving a use to the fish you catch in sport fishing
Making a use for the fish would be great, costing script for things like the other systems would make sense aswell. Crafting ship components should be at minimum Apprentice crafting aswell in all honesty.
what seems the best way to go to 10 tailoring?
Tailor
Using the cheapest common mat recipes seems to be the way to level professions across the board. Higher rarity mats alone do not increase the exp received, would need to ultimately result in a higher tier crafted item to get higher exp. Exp tied to the tier of the resulting item rather than mat rarities.
What is the best method for getting carpentry from level 10 to 20?
is there a place to cook in jovea?
Will depend on server - try channels below for you server
Is it intended that Ram carcass needs apprentice tanning?
yes according to P menu - but may be broken - check in bugs if you're not having any luck
Guess i will report it
Yeah was curious on the intention with it. Like I am not the biggest fan of mounts being permanently tradeable since eventually stuff dwindles. There is always the prospect of people using alts but it also isn't the most alt-friendly game
Where can I get baby cows/chicken etc? Lotharia server
#alpha-two-lotharia-eu would be better with buildings up
Animal husbandry-apprentice- says insert adult chicken to process into baby chicken
Same with cow. Other than that not sure XD
the agricutural center need to be up for that first
Journeyman one i mean
Guys I have a problem….. I have an ungodly amount of silkworm cocoons and I know some people want them as I’ve been propositioned… however… there are none on the market and I don’t want to get screwed on their value. What should I do?
It doesn’t seem alt friendly until you hit lvl 10 on 6 things. I’m personally opposed to alts so I’m really sad to see that I had to demote my limberjacking and decided not to promote herbalism just so that I can continue animal husbandry and process cooking which I don’t even want to do… I’m just doing to because of fishing… so yeah it really sucks but they force you to make an alt to be able to gather, process AND craft something. I’m not doing this and I’m also struggling with funds so it all just became not so fun after I got really excited to start crafting only to find out I can’t. “Make an alt” is not the answer I want to hear.
friends, guild, market?
Someone buy my Ash Timber in Miraleth on Lyneth 😭 I'm so poor.
I've checked all cities and there's none, yet there's ppl selling recipes that require beef and such
can you still enchant apprentice artisan gear with novice scrolls?
what stats actually affect sport fishing? only sport fishing power? i assume quality is useless right?
Work with other players is the only other answer (and the answer that the devs are pushing for)
Still? Your wood must be stale
as i said i need to go up first
a mayor has to start building it first
So that is actually the definition of not alt-friendly haha. Alt-friendly is typically when alts arent horrible to make/maintain
How the equiped quality works?? i used carpentry elixir carpentry robe and pants, and some quality material i cant make anything higher quality looks like ignoring any elixir and equiped crafting quality, if i'm putting the exaclty same materials im getting the same quality stuff
Forever Stale is my Anthem 😖
They arnt making it so that you make alts, you are limited so that you trade and socialize. Everyone just defaults to bypassing the intended system and makes alts.
Would prefer we went back games only having 1 or 2 chars slots per server personally, but even then people will multibox just to get around things
“Make friends, not alts”?
If they're trying to bring back what SWG had in terms of social markets they'd need anti-muling policies and bans on multiboxing from the start
Indeed
Hey so I have a Heroic Lumberjack JM Axe and the speed it says it gives me, is not apparent at all. I compared it to using a normal common axe and its literally the same.
The difference is like 0.5s - from a common and a heroic axe. I'm just kind of disappointed and was expecting a much more significant upgrade
I have apprentice Lumberjack shirt too.
speed difference:
285 (from heroic axe) + 60 (from uncommon lumberjack shirt) vs just 133 from apprentice axe. I saw no difference
Yep I had the same realization. Speed feels almost worthless but I guess if it were more significant right now, then once GM tools exist they would clear nodes in like 1 second
I went from the quest sickle to a heroic apprentice and had to use a stopwatch to notice like a 1s difference. But overall not too happy with speed
But also a GM being that fast wouldnt necessarily be a bad thing considering the effort required
Upgrades need to feel impactful. Like, I like to gather, but upgrading is a nice part of the growth too - and if that's not impactful, whats the point of the tiers. I might as well just buy the cheapest stuff cause it makes no difference
I also timed it too, and it came out to 0.5 seconds
I just wanted to voice this frustration. I went through all the work for what? a half second improvement?
Yep I totally agree. I put a good bit into getting heroic mats for the apprentice one since I didnt know how long it would be for JM and it does not feel worth it for speed at all
...so that finish of the gathering destiny and getting a skill to apprentice gives you a gatherers chest but not an apprentice tool...
I feel like PvE people at least feel noticeable improvements in their ability to fight mobs. But if this is what I can expect for upgrades moving forward for gathering, I'm kind of put off playing further.
where does one promote fishing
Speak to a chef/cook in starter village or Cookhouse if built on your server
so what do I do with the fish I get from afk fishing
crates
Crates, commission boards, requisition agent, sell on market, turn into chum, really depends on what motivates you.
are there any artisan skills that can actually get to master rank and above yet?
I've only seen WS and MW with recipes beyond JM in the menus in game. Was looking for best tools and its seems limited to GM Pick and GM Sickle
yeah im heavily racking my brain about the path to take, and i don't know which are more important than the others
Im focusing mainly on herbalism, alchemy, scribing and AE right now.
someone posted an image of the pathways that link so you at least try and develop complimentary skills. I started thinking Lumber things hence the Choppa name but currently leaning into Fish, Cook, Herb. 22 skills to choose from but 17 are stuck in Novice.
Right I get that and I will do that regardless but the problem that I’m trying to articulate is that other people, friends, a guild, or a market allowing me to get an item I need does not fulfill the same thing as me collecting said shiny object NOR does it exclude, prevent, or deter me from doing such. I still barter and trade items I can full well get myself- but I like seeing a shiny weird rock and working towards mining it- or a fun tree I want to chop- but for some reason if I choose to do “too many” of those things, I essentially am prevented from exploring crafting or processing at all without locking myself out of the things I am enjoying. The fault is in thinking that players NEED to be directed or forced to work together but they will do that already because one can’t feasibly do everything anyway! Or at least not to the capacity another player who is niche can. It simply prevents exploring in such a way that you must lose progress or level another character TO explore.
yeah i saw a chart, and those skills are all connected, im more confused on which ones i want to have at GM, and so on. Like do i get GM herbalism, and GM Alchemy, or GM AE. which ones would be more beneficial in specific stages to each other later on. as it stands crafting professions require so much in order to make the higher level stuff. and that alone is causing me to move away from scribing as well
this the one your after?
that's the one i saw
WoW this is a great chart.
I get where you’re coming from and to an extent I agree. However what you’re describing is the slippery slope that made this a “thing” in the devs minds to begin with. Steven took pride in building his mmo of early days that no longer exists, that many other (not all) people crave. If it isn’t for you, it’s totally understandable 100%
I see issues with it lol animal husbandry should have a line to agriculture and cooking since apprentice takes cows and chickens and I think those have to do with cooking and farming.
I would focus on which one you stop as you progress to JM and you also have the ability to downgrade for no fee so you aren't locked in if you change your mind.
The cost is not in copper but in time lost and experience lost. I already had to lower and nerf my lumberjacking (which also cost me the axe I bought)
yeah it's good to know that you can always back track if necessary, but im just trying to be efficient, especially with the amount of time it takes to level them
it is a little dated as things have changed since it was made but its gives the general gist of things while not totally accurate
Another roadblock I hit is I leveled cooking but now I need butter… and butter doesn’t exist so I’m screwed again lol
I saw it floating around the other day. Will no doubt change some more but thanks for reposting
is there an agriculture building build yet on your server?
No not to my knowledge it’s empty still 😦
once the ag building is built in one the towns then that will sell items needed to get to your butter
Yes but in the meanwhile… I hit a wall in my professions and can’t progress to apprentice without nerfing others- that’s what feels bad. Like I don’t do weaving but I have silkworms and they’re worthless to make money if no one wants them for example- same with beasts- and the gatherables don’t support a living wage (lol)
exactly how i feel, i got so lucky someone bought moonbells off me for a total of 90s
lol yeah like forget me being able to sink money into my hobby profession of animal husbandry while also being able to afford new armor because… I can’t LOL I’m begging for old armor out on the streets to make my 1g 68s to train an animal… which will probably be a beast that sells for nothing LOL
what server are you both on?
yeahhh im fighting to get alchemy to journeyman, because i know the better pots and elixers are going to sell for a lot, and it practically gets rid of the point of scribing, unless they can be used together
im on lyneth
All while some rich person sells mounts for below crafting cost so I can’t even recoup when I DO get lucky LOL
The new server I forget the name
Tameable mounts don’t have any difference in higher tiers do they? I have a heroic bear that I can’t find any pricing on
No they do not
you can level up mounts apparently, is there any correlation there?
speeds stay the same i have confirmed that, i think health may be effected by rarity but yet to coonfirm this yet
Currently you can not
Ah hmmm…maybe I sit on it for now then. Ty all
ahhh, im def holding off on buying mounts for now, the only time im gonna get one is when i decide to get a water mount, or when T2 gliders are available
I can confirm that the rarities only apply to beasts of burden stat increases- which like I said- don’t sell unfortunately
if any of you are on lyneth, feel free to come to me for herbs, pots, and possibly eventually AE gear.
I try to price based on convenience, and effort. especially trying to make an affordable profit as well
Well that’s what the animal husbandry rush is all about- to get us there and make everyone happy with a cool new mount! The water mounts are amazing by the way
I saw a water mount right before servers went down, pretty slick!
Was like a lil whale
LOL the crate price diminishing returns are hitting HARD!!! I can get more for chopping and vendoring wood than I can in the time it takes to do a run!!
Shoalskipper…. I may be currently logged out on top of some >;3
You don’t need to tell me twice, I enjoy gathering so I’d hop on that without worries
I just wish I had another income source possibility is my only complaint with this game so far it just feels really bad to have zero flexibility
Ah! That’s what they look like ok ok. I see them talked about in chat and in here but never seen lol
Manatee basically- I highly highly recommend picking one up- it’s a game changer
Sad to admit I haven’t explored enough to be out in the water much. Seeing the videos and stuff of others out there looks so …new to me LOL idk how else to explain
I’m enjoying exploring the map now that I feel like I’m not crawling hehe! The islands are so awesome, and the bottom of the ocean is fun it feels like I’m diving
Did you strive to lv20+ or anything like that before venturing out?
It reminds me more of scuba or freediving IRL than any game I’ve played yet
That’s very interesting, did not expect you to describe it that way LOL
No I am focusing the hunting lvling so the noobs don’t flood the hunt zones and I can have early pickings lol
honestly, i wish i could level up, i've been lvl 13 for days, and it's because im a mage, with no groups to do leveling with lmao
I’m lvl 14 but my hunting is 17.5 and AH is apprentice so I’m ready to harvest wyrms tomorrow probably
I could have done it faster but I know the secrets now to leveling those professions. I could have been 24 working on 25 right now but I wanted to explore game mechanics and not mob grind yet
My friend chose to do that haha I’m trying to convince him to help me get gliding mounts tomorrow so we’ll be ready when the station goes journeyman
Getting to app tailor is proving to be the costiest endeavour... and im only lvl 5
That’s literally what I was telling my guildie earlier today
I was so easily distracted by all of the things I wanted to try at the same time, and then falling into settlement progression (mundane but I enjoy the huge impacts it makes to the environment)…still lv12 lmfao
I feel that- the demand for cloth armor isn’t high I imagine. I’m a caster and I’m going heavy cause my enemies are mostly physical damage
Yea I heard that was an expensive one oof
That’s a lot of traveling but shirts make good money from what I heard!
Quite literally emptying the NE anvil's of its flax too
like why do t1 crafting require t2 mats, jeez
And those things will reach market cap also just like mounts will I think because it’s not like you need a “new fastest mount” lol not unless someone wants an upgraded shirt to be crafted I guess
Indeed
First in, big W
Exactly- that’s why I chose to put character lvling on the back burner so I can focus staying ahead of the mob
So im making uncommon shirts, from decent supply lines, from self farmed uncomm herbs, but still
Theres no way im even making a profit
The problem will arise when you can’t harvest or afford to buy something you need to even break even- that’s the issue I’m having
i dont think im breaking even
Yeah I’m not lol
All the players are sucking each other dry only to turn to crates that… become worth less and less by the hour lol
It occurred to me at one point that crafting a crate with green mats may actually be worth less to deliver across the map than marketing or vendoring those items inside it LOL
This is where I would love to have had a group to start with since their gathered stuff can feed your crafting to level it faster and break into the deeper recipes fast
Well I joined a guild that turned out to be inactive… but… I have to wait five days to fix it
yeah my guild was originally supposed to be crafting based, and then turned out to be inactive as well, in the process of joining a new one
But after a bit I realize this game is kinda…serious? So I’m not as shocked that there’s extremes like that lol
Yeah im alone only in my guild with the leader, we havent spoken in 4-5 days
whats the 5 days you speak of?
Yeah… so I’ll just be swimming around enjoying the views and trying to make a dime off shoalskippers I guess but other people are trying to do the same lol! It’s getting- dare I say- spicy?
Cooldown timer after you leave a guild to join a new one
Dang yall are the people that I can’t find on my server bahaha. It’s been slow recruiting like-minded players. But I get it, I’d wanna try the pvp too (if I was any good LMAO)
i will ONLY pvp when im not worried about losing the xp i spent hours getting lol
lol bro… I love me some PvP but… I can’t get my summon to cooperate… I’ve had the mystic’s heal stay grey while it’s right next to a party member dying- on auto mind you- and I can’t get a heal to go off
Fair enough lol yea the exp debt is rough for me. I can die a lot, esp when I’m toasted
if it makes you feel any better most out there are just targeting and smashing all skills theres very few that arent mass button mashing or zerging but the high skilled good players arent as numberful as youd thing everyone sucks at the pvp its just a case of fight, lose learn how to not repeat fight again repeat
And I’m terrified of mobs my level taking me out LOL
Summoner pvp sounds crrrrrrraaaaazy i heard some fool saying his summon was healing the guy he was fighting like what even
oh yeah, i do NOT try to fight mobs my same level, for one im heavily under geared, and playing as a mage, maintainng distance is insane
Mine dips during combat often as well
That’s so effective, I see it all the time and it works more than it doesn’t!
The other thing is there’s a clear spec for PvP so if I’m not expecting to PvP the certainly won’t be using skills like “drain mana”
I’m a tank babyyyyy, I will stand there and fight a single mob for an hour but I won’t die
And it won’t either
The healer struggle
perks of everyone being new, noone knows what they doing so all button mash and its not really skill vs skill its thunder dome match and rnGesus picks a winner hahaha
I’m normally drawn to paladin style choices cuz I like being a heal tank. It’s oddly funny and enjoyable
so hoping we get something like that here in subclasses!
Paladin is 100% a subclass
I’m intending on being damage summoner… I mostly use the hunter but everyone poops on it! I like it… but the mystic for healing my mount is good. The tanky boi doesn’t hold up to mobs my level unfortunately.
Yes I realized this after watching some streams out of curiosity of high level pvp and even some of those guys keyboards go crazy
I mean, I've seen barbs off tank à lot
Bards
I noticed I have “chains” from wow at the top of my skill tree hehe
bards are a different breed to the norm rules for how classes work
I did look into bards at first cuz I was considering being support so that I can get into groups easier 👀
Chains sounds like a flashy one
I thought the same but about summoner… but I think it’s unrealistic so far for me to provide consistent heals without something breaking
Man, Necromancer sounds a lot cooler than Shaman. Might need to roll Summoner first then go Cleric
I do like the cleric experience though
bards are in demands as they have several builds and some are vital to groups.. a bard will never outheal a cleric but offhealer is a thing and the infamous mana battery builds plus can dps build they are micromanage intensive to get full power but it is my main class and i do enjoy i can swap some skills and gear and fit almost any need
Yea that sounds like the type of class that would suck in the wrong hands
My cleric friend does really good dps also… makes me jealous LOL
Especially after experiencing a good one, you SEE the bad ones
Saw the skill chart for Bards and instantly rerolled the character into a tank
Way too much going on
LMAOOOO
Lolol yeah my friend originally rolled bard and felt the same so he rerolled cleric and is happy
Cleric is very good from what I’ve seen- necessary for a dungeon run with a big group it seems
Gotta actually try out some of the damage skills it has, cause right now auto attack + smite kills things, but boy does it take a while
Getting those comissions done takes a while
That cleric skill with the wings and charge towards you is cool
if you get your divine power built judgement (use first skill thing to insta cast usinf divine power) into melee range no cast time smite is burst combo and leaves enemy with the higher tier burn proc can go hard once you build mag power to strengthen it
Yeah right now I get the burn + mana regen from the Imbue Weapon skill, i havent had much of a chance to use it yet since i specced into it right before maintenance
Hoping for early open!
The patch just dropped, wasnt a super big one so im hoping theyll call it after a quick server reset
cleric is my second class and im no pro but have little experience so if you every wanna dm me and ask questions about it feel free and ill help as i can
Ope I’m gonna start that update then
I figure some of you have probably been around awhile. ive been grinding away on mining and there is a recipe called sand where you take rock and try to get metals from it. and then there is a recipe that looks for gems in the rocks. The byproduct is called (Granite or other rocks) fragments and the other one is Sand. Is there any use for the fragments or sand?
both are used in recipes in other crafts
ty
I tried to look it up, however i could not find any related info on a wiki or database. I probably shouldnt have sold all that epic dust and epic fragments. oops.
Have you tried Ashes Codex?
Ashes codex is out of date or unpopulated on many things for this version of the game
Everything gear and crafting related has been accurate for me this phase, the map and mob drops tables are definitely outdated.
Ive gathered 3 legendary giant bluebells and have no idea what to do with them or what they are worth
I'll take them off your hands so you can have some extra storage space ❤️
whats the point of turning 2 cows into 1 cow with husbandry?
or do you also get the adults back?
Anyone know where i can find the recipes for Apprentice Herbalism Bags?
any gatherers out there that has advice to get higher quality mats when mining?
Gear with Quality on it - stack as much as you can afford
quality enchants?
It comes on the tool, clothes, consumes as "Mining Quality" - can see your total in C menu Artisan tab - look at Voidbreak Mining Pickaxe for example in the WS section in P menu
oh wow I have 0, didn't kow that, thank you!
Certain bags will also add and then I think even the Mayor might be able to give a buff but not 100% on that one
Mayor currently has wisdom, intellect buff
Err question is Sanctus Sauce an evolutionary dead end? It's an ingredient in cooking that is used for nothing 😛
just been making some for preserved foods for requisition agent
I suppose so but then it should not have on the tooltip "Useable in Cooking". A very easy way to make preserved foods granted
yeah would be handy - there's also Beer for RA - but we dont have one of the ingrediants up north
Am I also missing something here? In order to get a cow you need a young cow and farming, but to get a young cow you need 2 adult cows. What kind of circular hell is this 😛
Sounds like a you need to find two cows, or perform a daring daylight raid on a dairy farm
What does it cost to upgrade a gathering skill to Apprentice?
Nothing, just get to lvl 10 then go to the correct npc at briarmoor if in the riverlands and ask for a promotion
Lvl 10 in the gathering skill
Carpenters -- assuming Small XXXX Crates are still the best way to level 1 to 20? What do you do with the crates after? They sell for 1cp each to vendor ... surely there's something else?
I did the Carriages as they are 1 less timber and sell back to vendor for 1s 50c
Did you notice experience differences?
So wait a second. Across Processing, Gathering, and crafting we're limited to a certain # of Master, Journeymen, and Apprentice?
So I will have to choose which I want to be a Master at, out of what... 22 different options?
That's really going to make masters of their Artisan Skills crazy rare per server.
I haven't checked if there is a difference at the moment I just did it as I could sell them back for 1s 50c so it saved a bit of cash
This is pre set for when animal husbandry gets its breeding side cos you will be able use two adults to make a baby (having a 3rd cos then farming to mature it to then use it (milk, Beef meat etc etc) or grow up the calf twice and have two pairs cows breeding doubling the amount offspring produced, if I explained that well enough to understand
Yes your going to have focus on certain skills and economy rely on other players for everything else, everyone has every skill at novice to start, you can have 5 skills all up promoted to apprentice rank (skill levels 10 to do), of those 5 four will be able to be promoted to journeyman (skill levels 20) and 3 them to master (lvl30) and finally 2 at grandmaster(lvl40)
Alright so 5,4,3,2. Got it. Thank you Satan
Correct just remember of the apprentice 5, 4 those slots are used by the skills at journeyman and so on through the tiers
what to do with stuff in cooking used for leveling but that can't be used to any other recipe? just sell to merchat?
I mean stuff like agave syrup that I mass craft to lvl up
Hello, if I was wanting Cooking and Farming to be my main artisan skills, what would be the other skills I'd need to level, or that would help the moist?
Anyone know a good place to get apprentice fishing and mining exp scroll recipes?
Likely fishing and herbalism will be the big helps, will probably be able to buy the woodchips from woodcutters
Has anyone found a 'fun' crafting skill yet?
Or are they all the same boring grind?
Can you promote skills at 0% into level 10 or do you have to fill up the bar to the lock symbol?
I would assume lock symbol
I've been making belts, 70 of them, one at a time. This isn't grind, its repetative strain injury with a subscription model
well for science I ran and tried it, just straight level 10 works!
where do you get forsaken emblems?
Oh dang, nice!
Yes it will!!!
I hate to say it but the crafting in this game is an abysmal disappointment. The processing fees even if they were reduced by 50% would be too high, the second tier of gear resource requirements are insane, then once you gather them you find out you can't build it until the proper machine is in place . So you continue to use a level 5 weapon into pushing level 20.
why does snowdrop prepared yardage take daffodils? or is it a bug?
Sport fishing is a fun loop
any bluebell map ?
I think it would fix this if they made it so mayors got elected at level 2 settlements and could select a single apprenticeship table for a craft per settlement then at level 3 they got all the apprenticeship table as is now but can upgrade 1 to JM
Then level 4 no change
I believe this fixes a few issues
- Can start crafting gear earlier
- Can identify what a town wants to specialize in earlier
- Would make level 2 nodes useful rather than just another level we gotta burn through
Early world development on releases needs tuning yea
I'd like a 2.5 level that makes a campsite into an Anvils Outpost type area. The jump from 2 > 3 is quite ridiculous imo
Thank you for the extremely helpful feedback.
I think you might’ve replied to the wrong person, I didn’t give any feedback I just agreed with you lol. Humble was the one with the feedback
hi i'm an apprentice miner and i'm working on my artisanal prowess. Kinda hoping to find some gamers that have apprentice certs in weaving and woodworking that could help me process some materials for hire of course
I'm not sure this totally solves the problem, especially if you invest heavily in a town and it doesn't have a table that supports your craft. Also what I am finding is the gap between crafting tiers is too far apart, especially early on in the game. I could see it at the highest level, but not being able to upgrade your weapon until the mayor decides its your crafts turn doesnt sound like much fun to me.
I like that aspect of the game where it requires community effort to upgrade and if the town you thought you wanted isn’t doing the thing you wanted then you leave
Like this phase I wanted Joeva to be a fishing town cause of all the sweet fishing spots nearby mayor decided it’s a smithing town so I moved to miraleth and am fishing the north desert and west carph river now
Was curious on this. Didnt know if JM opened up an apprentice slot
No it doesn’t end game you would have 1 apprentice 1 JM 1 Master and 2 GM
Do we have confirmation on 2gm? I have seen it mentioned a few times here and there but people I have chatted with that played previous alphas said it was supposed to be 1
Everything I’ve read and seen the last year has said 2 I didn’t quite make it last phase to test if it’s true I got fishing to GM and lumbermilling to Master but didn’t quite get there last phase to test
That's totally fair. If it is 2, then I like that much more. I would personally prefer to be able to get 1 in each category but 2 doesnt feel too bad
im spooked for it because im not a member of a mega guild or whatever so finding other people willing to work outside their guild is rough lol
I think the Tanning profession levels up too slowly considering how expensive hides and carcasses are. Just like Hunting levels up faster, they should do the same with Tanning.
Yea tanning is a journey compared to some others. Our hunter/tanners levels are heavier on the hunter side. Tanning side is trickling in comparison haha
He said it’s pretty expensive too. But it gave him a pretty solid boost in capital since it’s all higher value stuff. He got into the 50+g range and lv13-14 from enjoying skilling
That's kind of more Gathering than Crafting, though - isn't it? Have not tried it yet.
Are quickstride potions not something actually obtainable yet?
Hello, i'm not sure if this is the right channel to ask this, i'm actually looking for roughrime to do a jeweler craft but was wondering where the heck can we gather thoses? I'm in Joeva region
Can be mined in Anvils if you can't buy it on the marketplace.
If i'm correct Anvils is the northern area? Jeez its gonna make a long travel 😄
what level are you?
17, i should probably be fine going all the way up there
Cross here to avoid being flagged in water (well last wipe it worked) - I've been using the far east side to transit as a lowbie so far.
thanks for the tip !
Is it a known issue where mining bags aren't contributing to the mining quality stat on the character sheet? I submitted a bit but was wondering if anyone else noticed his for other gathering bags
I have one blue carpentry made bag and 2 green tailor made bags
Might be related to mixing types
Basic question but I’m new how do I get the amor molds
Make them at the stone mason table
what skill goes well with alchemy?
I am thinking of dropping weaponsmith , its starting to become very expensive for zero return , feels like if you miss the starting wave of crafters and fall behind you are done
Do they give Mining Quality or Gathering Quality
Cause those are different stats
Scribe, probably
Do experience scroll recipes drop, or is there a vendor for them somewhere
hello
