XP scrolls go a long way :P, commision crafting scroll give like double and a bit XP then there also node buffs too for example school of constrcution in windstead

Tailoring 1-20 should be about 550 crafts from lvl 1-20 if you use a decent XP scroll and have the node buff

It is a small dark plant that pops up all over the Riverlands but most of the time not in groups and not in high numbers. Anyone gathering it ends up blocking others.
If you are searching for it exclusively, good luck as it is like trying to find tiny willow trees that are gotten when found.

There are 3 different professions that can make bags (tailoring / carpentry / leatherworking).
Each has slightly different stats that they provide. Leatherworking is the more achievable one (less costly) this phase. The others are generally not worth making due to the cost/components required.

I was half-afk farming level 10 hawks while watching a movie and made about 2.65g in an hour and 10 minutes in just glint so if someone were actually actively playing and in the level range of Journeyman (20+) they could easily make more than enough to process things.

120 is a guess but I still don’t understand your point. The price to make the bag is 120g + the price of mats. You can then sell it to people. That’s the whole point. The bag is prohibitively expensive to make because of JM processing fees.

It depends on what item you mean. But a heroic level 23 bow is like 25-30g I think, a heroic level 26 bow is about 50g.

I’m just doing the math. A dried braidwood board is 6x rare processing mats that are about 50s each. So that’s 3g. The clicks are 50s, 75s, and 1g I believe, so that’s 2.25g more per dried board for a total of 5.25g per, times 21 boards is 110.25g plus some more gold for the spindlehemp

It seems pretty close I get around 113 for the wood and then a couple gold for the herbalism, I see people saying they have the bags and multiple but it's definitely not something I'm at the income range to get or the crafting capacity to produce.

I did see they've adjusted some cooking vendor reagents to a higher price without it showing up in a patch note or anything I wonder if they modified these. One of the easiest things for me to gather for money is wood since it's everywhere lol not so sure about braidwood though.

Well... we have the Master unlocked now and that was to correct everything. Sadly Tanned Gryphon Hide and Tanned Wyrmling Hide require reagent "Smokebrush Resin" which is still unavailable. This makes it so that even now all the JM Artisan Shirt/Skivvies still cannot be crafted. @tepid drum

There is a bug that happens when trying to push the support buildings for GM, many of them are occurring and some why the game takes the "being built" station as the expected Support Station.
Help and aid the new Trade Bureau, and the issue will be solved.
The same thing happened in Winstead, then GrandMaster Carpentry bench as soon as @errant sandal clicks for it ;D

They have stated they can track every item made/dropped/ gathered so if a station in demo'd or downgraded they should at least be returned but I am all for an alert telling you the station is changing before you start. Will help with the no citizen msgs and items that take hours to complete like 30 bolts 😕

Depends on the rarity of the product you are processing, kind of like gathering rarity works (on hunting and fishing) where its not static.
White > Green - Highest chance
Green > Blue - slightly lower chance
etc etc
proccing a legendary out of 250 epic's is still low chance,
but proccing a ton of greens out of 250 whites will happen super often

the whole crafting system is built off of muchual reliance so anything radiant rank is going to at least 5 other artisans at radiant to help out. You could theoretically still level and maybe do half of a level 20 armor set by yourself but you will still be missing a few key ingredients since you can't get and process every material needed. Not to mention the work of leveling a craft alone to level 20 is pretty abysmal right now.

if you rush to 25 doing nothing much else you're not gonna have any resources and without support you are probably not going to be able to afford anything. There's not "endgame" content since we're testing the patches as they're released on the this phase implemented actual crafting system vs the placeholder one we had to give people something to do while they tested the gather>craft system they implemented last phase.

At level 13-15 I was getting about 2-2.7g gold an hour just killing hawks (level 10-13) for hunting so at level 25 you can probably get quite a lot more glint worth of kills for cash and a lot of random drops to sell. I was selling the gear drops at level 15 I was getting for up to a gold a piece.

You can’t craft it yourself but you can easily gather and/or buy and process most of what you’ll need for at least weapons + jewelry. Armor is really tough to craft right now, that’ll take longer.

Also - the level 26 and 29 gear is super high end planned to be 30% of players can make the 26 and 29 10% or whatever in their interview - the level 23 is pretty straightforward vs that.

If you want starter stuff just go for two Heroic Sunfire weapons (like 20-30g ea) and some heroic Steelbloom jewelry (like 40g or so for a set). If you want to go bigger, go for Heroic Glorybound Weapons.

Go to the codex, type your weapon in and you'll see that you need a massive amount of mats.. one will be wood one will be rocks and then an obscene amount of others. Wood will be 1050 of Lego if you want Lego or purple quality if u want that so make sure you only keep those lol, the games over for you now, stand in town amd span chat looking for mats, how you get the gold for all of them.. honestly no freaking clue, how u manage to gather all those high quality mats in a timely manor lol ya can't especially if you work so your life is hitting rocks. Hello fellow Gatherers. I want to get a deeper understanding of resource spawns. I know it is a tense topic with all the debate around static respawns. So far, I got that the system onces(?) was designed as shown in the picture. The whole white reticle bug let us to believe that this is not the case anymore. Now we talk about fixed node spawn. With this in mind I write down the coordinates of every epic or legendary node I gather. But after many tries I must say that the same node on the same exact spot does not always drop epic or legendary loot. So how does the system work atm? Is my Rarity Rating taken into account at all?

This table works regardless of "static rarity" thing. It presumes that that the node you are gathering has "zero rarity" and rarity is increased according to the table. But the resource node doesn't always have zero rarity. It might have predetermined higher rarity on the "server side". People figured out that a specific resource node respawn after 4 hours from when you gather it. But once in a day nodes get reshuffled, so they are regatherable - farmable only for a certain amount of time. The white reticle "bug" ( 😉 ) was revealing the server side rarity. That's how I understand it. YMMV

yes, this was initially described in a reddit post, whereby a two roll system is in place; the first roll being the chance of a rare node spawning serverside, the second being the chance to "upgrade" the rarity of this node.

the idea of static rarity being "broken" comes from the first roll being a fixed rarity which is not randomly regenerated with each spawn... this is contraversion with some saying it is intended, others saying that is an unintended remnant of legacy code

And I hate when people are like, "Oh that's not much, I can do that in 2 hours . . ." I call bs on that unless your (general you) mount is going the speed of light and all the wolf pet spots are available when you reach them. I'm not taking into account 2k quality food, which makes me laugh since good JM cloths only tack on 400 quality while food does the larger push . . .

To me, this system of grind is acting like old school EQ when MMOs were fresh and new and no one knew better and the majority of the players were college age or military at a base bored out of their mind with time to spare when not doing things. Those players are now adults with responsibilities and families who cannot dedicate that time; and new mmo players, with the installation of immediate gratification, just don't have the patience for it. This system and a lack of any kind of decent gear drop from mobs disincentivizes any kind of play and you'll be left with a massive world with no population. I know steven has said he doesn't want a WoW killer, but this won't even be a wow bruiser at this rate. Yeah it's alpha, so questing and things aren't in place, but, if going with the theme of most items are to be crafted, then you can't rely on quest rewards either for any kind of gear push.

As it stands the system will lend itself to those who want to take shortcuts be it duping or gold buying, others will just quit. Oh well. Back to grinding.

There is no resource that I am aware of. Best to buy a novice kit of something you can make, make an item and then temper it. It will require some of the same materials that were used to make the item. If you are tempering a green scepter, it might ask for green zinc ingot and green ash board, for example.

Yes, the required materials must be legendary and in order to make the kit in the first place, you need to deconstruct enough legendary items to get x10 sift and x2 residuum.

Tempering will always require 10% of the entire material cost of the item per temper, in the same rarity of the item, (rounded up to the nearest whole material (175 dried ash will be 18 dried ash per temper. Etc).

The rough estimate (for 29 weapons) according to current market values from tempering ~30% (assuming full legendary base craft + rarity food, so not available on all items) to 100% is roughly 5-10k gold assuming resource availability, with large variance depending on the item itself of course. This calculation also assumes an average of 2.5% per temper (range being 1% - 5% increase per temper), average base legendary kit cost around 100-150g.

It is likely you will spend more than twice the entire item craft on just MATERIALS to temper it to reach 100% legendary. (Yes, that is more than DOUBLE all of the materials, and yes, that does not include any of the original weapon mat costs.)

It is significantly cheaper for lower rarities as the amount (range) each temper will provide increases with each lower rarity tier, iirc 25-30% at common vs 1-5% at legendary

You need to go to Joeva and the farming station vendor there. You buy th calves and baby chicken from him and grow then into adult cows and adult chicken.

Slaugther the chicken to get chicken carcass, and then roast it with butter at cooking station in New Aela.

On live, we cant get eggs. But we can make milk from adult cows

What's the deal with the enormous amount of grem carcasses I need to craft a medium armor set for my bard? When I look at heavy recipes it takes a couple thousand zinc to craft a full set. But carcasses only drop from tamable grems and only one at a time? Zinc is available all over the world and one can get 5+ drops from one deposit. How am I supposed to get 3000+ carcasses with half the server farming south of Lionhold? Am I missing something?

No, it was not - but thats not the point. Im sure noone will say "1364 was not enough" ofc it was strong. Too strong. You want a goldsink consumable to be strong, but not extremely OP as it was.
Nerfing ot down from 1364 to 39 is extreme, probably a typo, because 390 would be more on the level with journeyman artisan clothing (combined) in that way you do gain a benefit while going for the food, while also having that benefit scale perfectly with the current grade its in. Master Food/Elixirs will scale better with their artisan clothes when they get introduced, following this formula.

I think there's a cloak that's easy to make with snowdrop threads. The best way to level up most crafts is to do it with someone who is leveling arcane engineering. You will most likely deconstruct everything you're making to get mats back, so create a lot of decon kits through arcane and use that on everything you make.

Last phase when deconstruction kits weren't in the game, Id just give gear away to random new people who would type in global that they needed stuff

• While a support building is being built in the settlement, the number of "points" related to that building got reset, in this case, the hideworks stayed -1/1 and stopped working.

One thing that doubts me about this is the limit of GM per Settlements.
We know that there is a hard limit of lvl 5 settlements, we are at most supposed to do 20 GrandMaster level Stations in the whole world - which is one way to ensure not everything could be done.
Currently, the support building upgrade changes that, so a part of the design is still missing in order to know what is properly expected as well.

I would consider that this phase Settlement/Building/Upgrades related to be one of the goals prior to a new FreshStart, since this system for the upgrades and the view for the future would be the foundation for every single settlement.

I think there were many issues with node Exp, I can't say they are still there.
Most players are not moving to the other regions to do anything besides gathering, and some are to complacent to even attempt a move to get things done - everyone just wants to stay in the Riverlands)
The amount of people on proven POIs and the exp it provides is huge (even when gear is not dropping, imagine while it did ? they removed those areas from the lawless rotation because it was crashing the SW due to the amount of people - I would still say, gear should drop from high level POI's only when those are in the Lawless rotation).
If the other regions had had that same issue in the beginning, depending on where those are located, then we would have a higher number of high leveled settlements in those regions.

I think most of the mobs are done, it might be bringing them from UE 4 to UE5. I think the zones and lore about it might still be designed.
Along with their story arcs as well

how it seems to be atm im not mayor so cant comfirm it but the UI on the upgrade suggests that u can get 4 point per support building which u need 4 points for each bench

also it is possible they can still have the 20 GM benches if they wanted by limited GM upgrade to T5 nodes and T4 gets master nodes and so on

no, you can only do one upgrade per building, you were never supposed to be able to do all of the possible lines.
So it would be 2 points per building

we think there is a bug currently with tax money to the settlements, some people tried to pump gold into the settlements by using the 100% tax, and from 50g spent, only 2g went to the settlement 🙁

dunno it comes down to wether or not 29 gear needing grandmaster benches if just to premptfy gauge town progression speed cause if it follow the current requirment lvl 49 gear for examplewould need 2 more upgrades from what we currently have but that doesnt make logical sense so i think there using the GM bench requirment for 29 gear as a test for when level cap increases to gauge node progression speed with bench upgrades

No one cares that much about gathering info. Trees are easy as they are big and you see them from far away, but really every gathering profession has high value materials to find. Mining might be the easiest as even the low rarity metals can be sold consistently where as no one wants common or uncommon wood. Herbalism is big if you hit spindlevine currently.

Do you have a hunting bow? I’m presuming you started in the anvils. One of the quests should’ve given you all the basic artisan gear, if you didn’t collect it in the beginning rooms

Once you get a hunting bow (artisan gear for gathering), you then gotta find a white/non aggressive hawk to press F and pet it until it dies (placeholder system) to get the carcass

Then bring that carcass to the tanning station (only on east/hammers rest side…once patch 1.7 hits, that processing station should also be on the west/bonfire side of the mountain)

you don't kill the hawks to get the skins. a huntable animal will have a crosshair next to their name and can't be fought in combat. interact with the huntable like it was any other resource to "harvest" them.

I have a question about that. I did a petition and intrepid said they couldn't answer my question and to post on discord forums. I had mining, lumberjacking, and weaponsmithing at journeyman. On the wiki it says that you can level 5 professions to apprentice and 4 professions to journeyman. I have armorsmithing capped and the smithy foreman guy in winstead wont promote me. I tried demoting lumber milling and metalworking down from apprentice to novice. That didnt work. Then i tried demoting lumberjacking from journeyman down to apprentice. That didn't work. Now im getting bummed that i sacrificed all of these skills and nothing is working. Anyone know the answer?

You can have 5 professions above novice, 4 above apprentice, 3 above JM etc.

I get the attempt of forced interaction, but I feel that could be done in a different way, possibly only one mastery branch in each of the profs or something. Otherwise the current incentive is for someone like me to just create multiple alts to cover the other profs which would end up draining my interest in playing for longer

NW was the first game I played where 1 character was enough and I’m gutted that’s been killed off. Hate the wow gather/profs, was really hoping this was open ended all the way

I’ll have to play longer and push the profs to really get a feel tho

Well it comes down to personal taste at this point.
I prefer if my character can't do all the professions well.
Also, for example, although this is a bit different but FFXIV has it so that you can play all classes with 1 character.. for me that would be an absolute game breaker.

I like if my characters have their own strengths and weaknesses, but I bet there are others here who prefer the 1 character meta MMORPGs.

That has the potential to make your character cooler too, you could be the best in something that most people can't do

frankly, you'll have a better time with lumbermilling and woodcutting so you don't have to have help for literally every JM and lower material you make as a weaver/tailor

you can also swap LM and LJ back and forth from journeyman as needed to make the JM materials

I think it should be doable in New Aela, it would require a JM station - which the node does have - would have to check to whoever has the recipe if it states it requiring a Master/GrandMaster station - I don't think it does

If it follows the other Artisan pieces from the forge, no Master/GM upgrade should be required for the Mining Pick 🙂

It appears they have condensed master/grand master down to the level scaling we have available rn. There is a Grandmaster bench in Winstead for arcane Eng that allows crafting of Grandmaster gear. That’s also why the costs are much higher for most gear at 29 vs 20/23
