with their current system, they have three tiers per level range like Initiate 1-10 has level 1 items, level 6 (tier 2) and level 9 (tier 3). The higher tiers they want to require more "world development" so higher crafting stations and support structures built by players before they can make them. They also have around 3x the material cost between tier one and tier three.

Ok, but in this Alpha I don't think it's actually possible to make a master jeweler bench is it?
I'm not sure on the limits to structures at the moment they said they made stage 5 the highest I think that one has GM maybe also Master not sure? I don't know much about the layout and upgrade changes we can only have stage 4 I think right now.
what gives the most xp to rss craft for carpentry?
is the journeyman Armorsmithing bench bugged out or is it just me?
i can see all the journeyman recipes on the metalworking and weaponsmithing benches but not armor. does the city need to specifically upgrade it?
If 5 people each have $10, and another 5 each have $5, what is the average of all 10 people? The average is $7.5. With no rounding, you could add an infinite number of people who each have $10, and the average will never be $10.
The same with processing. Do you expect Intrepid to allow you to add 10 legendary and 10 epic, and get 20 legendary back?
That's not how averaging works.
I was talking about Zinc and Copper Fragments. Literally anything that is 1 to 1.
If I throw in 20 common copper and 20 uncommon copper, shouldnt I get 20 common copper fragments and 20 uncommon copper fragments?
That used to be the case, but they changed it so it averages it out. Here are the values of each raritiy.
For higher tier recipes it is super nice, for basic stuff it is kinda bad 😄
For your original example, you said, "10 uncommon and 10 epic copper at the same time"
Using the above table, the 10 uncommon would have a value of 60. The 10 epic would have a value of 510. The sum is 570. Divided by 20 (the number of items) and the average is 28.5. The 20 fragments should be rare, since it is greater than 16 (rare) but less than 31 (heroic).
Yeah I should have clarified that I was talking about basic stuff where 1 raw turns to 1 processed
How do i find basalt better than uncommon, 2 day i try make lego pickaxe
Do we know how much rarity multiplies the payout
btw is it intended that you dont get more xp from crafting higher rarity but you do get it from gathering and processing?
I don't have the exact multipliers and not sure it can be attained, but I'll ask.
Try finding basalt that isn't near other basalt
ahh shiiii
intersting what they will require
so whats the required wood for JM lumberjack axe looking like?
Weeping willow boards for all
a lot i guess?
thanks!
How do you have 2k raiting mate?
Most recent version with more information how crate rarity affects the selling price.
Just added this information
Thanks!
Out of curiosity does anyone know how to copy and paste your selling sentence in chat and hold onto the rarity of the items you linked?
No
It's a little weird because at the master level.. wouldn't we be level 25+ by then and want level 25+ gear? Like.. I wouldn't be wearing level 10 Foresaken gear at that level. I doubt it's balanced where the foresaken gear is on par wtih that gear either
Can anyone help me. I need to find some tin but cant find any Nodes. Do i get it from slate?
yes
does anyone know if there is a place to become apprentice in the anvils?
Guys Iam trying to craft Sanctus gear I have all materials and I have a msg saying Insufficient resources
Guys Iam trying to craft Sanctus gear I have all materials and I have a msg saying Insufficient resources and it says it can be crafted riverlands/wilderness
A Settlement will need to have built the specific building for the Artisan skill you are wanting to have the NPC that let's you promote to Apprentice. There are no NPCs in the Anvils at their general crafting places like the Riverlands does.
Hey gamers wanted to help out with the confusion on journeyman tools so here you go: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_S_5uTife_wv24Yt9cIhQCG8vfTec4K56hYP-EuUO7c/edit?usp=sharing
The level 20ish gear is the easily available and the rare comes once the infrastructure is there so later those are half or more sets that drop at low rarity levels. That gating the very powerful items for each Initiate Adept etc range behind world development slows the gear domination I guess
There's expected to be MMO amounts of players coming and going so not just everyone the same level at all times, they had the opposite issue in Dune everyone was at max gear immediately but no one was really low "level" because of the way the gear worked
We are currently looking to partner with a skilled and reputable artisan EU guild for a potential business collaboration. Our goal is to work with talented craftspeople who take pride in their work and value quality, creativity, and reliability.
If your guild is open to exploring a partnership or would like to learn more about what we’re looking for pls contaact my DM
Are you EU or NA
Couldn't decide which profession to go for... this is just about my 2nd day playing, any advise or updated guides anyone can share? I find the old guides pre-phase 3 so out of place. Then most of the new ones if not all of them are about where and how to in the anvils. (And I'm in riverlands) Artisan professions I mean
EU
lvl 29 set recipes available without gm bench after today´s patch?
the patch notes just make it sounds like they now actually work when you get the gm bench
Anyonen find a use for droppings now that mulch is required for farming?
aside from making rooting balls...but you can't make Rotroot Pulp
I'm at work and codex not update yet, what the recipe for the Carpentry Bags?
basically the same as a JM hunting bow. i.e. far too fucking expensive.
you also cant buy JM recipes still
Ty and damn
its because u need upgrades
like with 26-29 ilvl weapons
Ah, and you need Riverlands ingredients to craft the baskets
We need so many more recipes to use mats on
seems like larch around mountain tops in the riverlands gives pretty good rarity at least compared to around the anvils. Is there any spot for better oak rarity in the riverlands??
They need to make either more recipes or allow recipes to be ore flexible
systems very rigid right now
Why does tailoring apprentice bag take 40 more mats to make then carpentry
Am I missing something?
I'm using all uncommon, Granite, Daffodils, Largemouth Bass
And Certif
crafting preview dosnt work
Is there only one type of jm axe?
Is slag just garbage to sell or does it get used somewhere?
is alchemy bugged?
why
How do I get started in crafting? I did the introductory quest which got me the ability to harvest and refine stone and lumber, but continuing to do that gives me no exp and when I try to train up my certification, nothing happens. What have I missed?
no xp for what?
crafting and processing are different types of artisanship
- you need to harvest and processining other materials ( not tutorial ones )
- dont do it you need money to progress and buy gear. Go farm goblins come back to crafting when you have 10g atleast
^
How can I increase my lumber milling? I've done a bunch of whethered Oak Lumber crafting, but lumber milling is still 0 % novice. What am I missing?
- you need to harvest and processining other materials ( not tutorial ones )
- dont do it you need money to progress and buy gear. Go farm goblins come back to crafting when you have 10g atleast
Will there even be items to purchase if everyone thinks that way? I wasn't sure how gear drops in this game yet, and I'm lvl 7 atm
Hence why I wanted to craft at least one tier above the tutorial gear
Check winstead plenty of good gear for 5-25s
Oh thank you good sir @ashen lodge
But I do want my gathering skills at least levelled up correct?
Go outside of tutorial area if you want some small crafting sessions
Its not necessarily for progress, no need to focus on it. You need some levels and gear so you can go to farming routes and not to die from mobs while mining.
Crafting was good when phase started so you was able to craft for you friends and sell some. Now people selling 0-10 items less than it cost to make
Where's the nearest Storage bank? Winstead?
You have one in lionhold winstead is just main trading hub
Not really, where are you now ?
in lionhold
Storage in lionhold near South exit
So to make my progress faster, isn't it better I go to winstead and buy gear and comeback to goblinitis?
@ashen lodge
Its up to you 🙂
If you have about 1 gold go do some shopping:)
I have about yeah
What does "LIghtning Weapon" stat mean?
Means it deals lightning bonus damage?
I need to find 60 more now
God they are so far apart these ccrafting stations. I'd rather buy the gear if I can @ashen lodge you're right
I'm confused about the grade restrictions. are weapons also tied to your level? Like if a weapon is adept, I can't wear it as a novice?
I thought I couldn't craft adept , but I could wear it still
If you press T over an item, on right hand side you see the levels for each tier
1-9 is initiate, 10-19 adept and so on
I see so there are weapon level requirements to wear I thought that only applied to crafting them

The Rotroot pulp is an ingredients bought at vendor. 😄 And Yes - droppings are sougth after
is it still around 1% to catch an scorpion broodling?
Do people care about low tier droppings or just epic/leg?
I have one bazillion droppings I need to offload
I need them all to level my Farming
How much you paying for common?
On eu lotharia they sell for about 1 silver each and I can’t afford to buy many.
Ya same price on Shol
Anyone here got common grem for sale on Shol? Looking to buy a lot
Grem carcass*
Guys what is the price for the recipe of forsaken bow? Any ideas?
you cant craft it i dont believe unless you have GM woodshop
Forsaken blades bow
yes, its a ilvl 19 bow so needs a GM woodshop
You need master woodshop
not GM
for forsaken blades items
ah okay, still 🙂
So no use then?
what server are you on? EU only has a master smithy nothing else upgraded
Eu
then nope noone can craft it
But is possibly to craft in the stage of alpha we are in?
Alright and what would be the price for the recipe any idea? Beacuse i just got the drop
So no ideas? 🤔
Wait is apprentice from 10 - 20 and JN from 20-30 and so on? If so why need master woodshop?
Because there are tiers within a tiers
Tier 1 is made at the same level as the station - the design intent has been stated they want more "world development" like higher upgraded settlements to craft the Tier 2 and Tier 3 items which are much higher stats than the Tier 1 for those level ranges.
i still dont get the point of trying to have so much gear at levels that arnt relevant for endgame
So any one know (+/-) how much would sell recipe from forsaken blades bow??
well they told that levleing will take ages, and will be big part of game, which i am fine with
But they too much gatekeeped that low lvl gear. Imagine lvl 10 gear gatekeeped by master building
the time to test that leveling speed would be now no ? still cant figure out what could motivate to make high tier low level gear - its like adding obsolete expansions from the start
they expect it to take a long while to get max level at release, the previous system also had gear and mobs in the world level tied to settlement progression, I think at the moment they have static mob levels. Also, not everyone will be the same level at all times with an MMO not survival game on a private server random people will start playing throughout the development of the settlements on the server so when the highest leveled players may already be 50 there can be level 10s slowly getting started in the world they built or alts that the lower level armors/weapons would be relevant to.
Is the tier 2 and tier 3 recipe gear also available as drops (when they adjust drop rates again) and we're just able to craft them on demand with the higher tier stations?
People are suddenly talkig about crates and using them - did I miss soemthing, are crates worth making now?
im not getting it - though im a bit slow - i cant imagine yhe benefit of not leveling as the primary game goal until endgame - though i havnt understood the endgame either 😄
Really high low-level gear will be interesting as it gets passed around from person to person because 99% of items are not soul bound. So there is an argument for making legendary stuff as a high level crafter to supply someone's alt but I cannot make an argument for heroic and below
ye but its a giant waste of system design for an alt system
Becuse of this I hope they add a feature where the changes you make to a weapon are incscribed by your name
ye would be cool enough but still a giant waste of space for a gear system
we don't have any endgame at the moment we're just exposing bugs in the crafting etc while we mess around in their build that they've made some limited gameplay loops in for us. From looking at the Tier 2 (x6) and Tier 3 (x9) recipes they seem to be droppable items from POI sets that we would be able to craft on demand with materials once we've upgraded the stations.
The freemarket in the game will decide if something is a waste or not, if it is, there will be no demand and no market for it. It sorts itself out, its not like creating these items is that taxing on the team
ah ok so you think maybe some lvl 20 sets will be bis ? eg any set can be elevated to 50?
I think gear destruction over time was discussed like only so many repairs which I think would be a necessary thing also.
ah yea forgot about that, makes sense you need a way to flush things out
ehm yes creating the system based on this idea of use of rarities is very taxing to the team - system must be built top down and be clear to all how to use - must be built for endgame - all of it - so pretty important to be clear about how endgame actually works - hehe have to add - in my opinion ofc 🙂
I think the current issue with crafting, is their hyper obsession with the node system to the point where everything else becomes a massive tideous inconvenience to do that hinders players experience and progression.
Locking gear to various nodes and requiring those nodes to also have t4 crafting bench for 26 item level just isn't engaging.
I feel like having t4 bench is fine but I feel like for cindermarch gear for example, should be craftable at any t4 bench but instead have it so if you craft it in it's biome of origin it uses half the materials
I believe there's better ways to encourage the building of nodes and still have them be a strong focus point without inconveniencing the players and making it tideous.
Also crafting needs to be more simplified, that doesn't mean easy but at least simplify, like new world or archeage for example
ye i was thinking when i first read about aoc and bought a pack that the settlement endgame would be pretty fast paced and dynamic - but from what im guessing now is that the endgame is pretty static. Though its prob 5-6 months until it will come into view ?
gotta admit i was looking for a warcraft 3 mmo type game in my brain - doh
i havent tried an out-of-game type game before where discord guild organizations are playing month long strategies.
Ill stick with aoc until i find out if i enjoy it or not at least : )
You are correct here but the problem is that Intrepid clearly does not understand the use of the carrot, only the stick.
I love that there's lots of resources to gather, regionally. I hate that everything is riverlands centric on crafting, and the vast majority of materials outside of the riverlands have 0 use. ESPECIALLY TOOL RECIPES
I love that they've done a lot of expanding on what materials in the riverlands can be used to make things, I hate all the extra vendor requirements that make it a massive pain to calculate cost, as well as interferes with the limited inventory
I'd really love if instead of requiring specific harvested resources to make items, (outside of emblems, etc), they'd allow for the type of process instead, and the different variations would have different effects. Like a T1 cloak needs a thread (T1 weaving) and a skin (T1 tanning). You could use T1-5 materials, but processing them as a T1 product. Same with a T2 cloak needs a bolt (T2 weaving) and a Hide (T2 tanning).
With that, you'll still need to progress your artisan trees, and it'll still maintain usefulness of all resources at all tiers, with incentive to go higher in both Level and Quality
And it may incentivize regional travel, like if "resists" ever become a thing, you may need to get some arctic fur, or fire flowers, or hard rocks, or shiny horns or whatever to help you in another part of the world do certain encounters easier
Any chance you can explain how you managed to get the commodity crates into the crates to put in the carval?
As everyone is currently trying to work out how to recreate this 😛
Question - For an encampment-level node, will the Artisan commission boards' commission level increase over time? The reason I am asking is that I see one encampment zone with all but one level 1 commission, and another encampment zone with a variety of levels from 4-44.
is there some trick / something im missing about hunting or is it suppose to be miserable?
Any lumbermiller looking for work? Need to craft some weeping willow boards. Shol server. PM me Discord
I wish they would go back to where the gatherers can make their own tools
I think we've received the current phase's placeholder recipes where they have the riverlands outline ready but the other regions hadn't been set up with their localized recipes yet so we'll probably see things like the tools having Edderwood instead of Oak possibly in the near future
hunting hasn't been completed yet so we're just clicking on them to be able to test the BoB/mount recipes and butchering can be done for the Cook tree, they have skills in the skillbook so it might be something akin to combat in the plan not heard about it though aside from my own guessing.
Anyone got the list of places where things are available going yet? (On Shol)
I just know on Shol Kal Torhum we finished JM lumber (I think it was) and have Smithy on the way.
It's meant to be miserable until you reach apprentice. Then after that the sky is the limit cause you can go to the desert and kill scorps on repeat and run around one area getting a ton of them as tameable or carcass.
Or you can run the beaches of the tropics looking for a shoal runner for hours.
Mayor's group says it seems like the southern mayors aren't communicating.
Yo, I haven't been back in awhile. Do all the crafting/processing/gathering clothing work now?
They had to roll back the update fixing a bunch of stuff cause of exploiting.
oh damn
At-least in Shol, the current Joeva mayor has been entirely afk for two weeks during the settlement wars that happened, unless to log on and create the mayoral quests for his own guild and set the buildings up for buy orders.
Well, that was like a week ago, it's now been almost going on three weeks.
they are likely the same group from Resna in the last phase they secured mayorships and then did no development so their group that gathered a bunch of Carphin gear the first week would be "on top" because no one could craft.
Armorsmith journeyman craft bugged in winstead ?
They had to roll back the update fixing a bunch of stuff cause of exploiting. Including the update that fixed stuff
Are we able to transfer stuff to our other characters nowadays?
only with help, there is a guild storage that technically works, but if you're in a big guild, you're never gonna be allowed access
How do the devs justify these crafting requirements? If I'm in a very small guild that's not 100 people out gathering like the ants they want us to be, how does one clear out a mine's worth of metal for a 2h axe? like seriously . . . I don't understand this whatsoever.
ilvl 19 (forsaken volcrist etc) are so overpriced in terms of crafting, and easily replaced by ilvl 23 craft which is 5 times cheaper
like help me understand this?
that is dumb as hell lol.
152 copper is like 2 hours of grinding max.
try 456 when you're making ingots and also if you only find good copper nodes or get copper from basalt constantly. tell me where you can get that much copper that fast and i'll wander over . . .
theres no gear loss unless you go red so make it and you keep it. It's why I think the costs are so high.
It becomes exponentially higher when you get into rarity.
u want legendary weapons in one day?
I don't think anybody expects that, not even myself. Granted I'm not going to bother writing out some massive message that has been said a thousand times before about crafting taking forever and a day
Tier 3 is considered the "10% of players may achieve this" level of item according to a recent interview, #alpha-two-artisan-chat message
Tier 1 is the one you can do easily solo and with relatively little investment of time or money, according to your player level and ability to generate income like at Novice character level it will be more difficult to get Radiant crafting level income for processing and crafting vs someone in the same level as the gear.
I've spent maybe 3 or so hours gathering mats for my level 10 spellbook but I want it Heroic or above so I've had the mats for rare since the first hour I spent one day I should have the 99 Epic logs by tomorrow night I think and will have a nice new weapon, I don't at all expect to be able to get the mats for the next tier item (level 16 or 19) solo.
How much cost a recipe "forsaken blades shortbow" ?
it's Tier 3 Adept, 105 boards, 60 daffodil bolts there was an out of game site that had processing costs but it's outdated processing looks like it might be 10-14g
You talking about the item?
Beacuse i am talking about the recipe itself
If it is not on the marketplace it is hard to say what the cost of the reipe itelf is.
is cotton supposed to to come out heroic when using legendary mulch?
Hm wonder if it is intended that the roroot pulp is so expensive? I mean it is now a forced item to use in novice Farming
I didn't do any farming except some berries but if it's using water some recipes use the water's rarity and are busted so have been /bug repped
Does processing and crafting contribute to node xp?
Probably not. I noted this as well and /bug it. It looks like Cotton Seed is tanking the quality because it counts as a quality ingredient, even if we can only get common.
journeyman armor dont work in winstead again patch change nothing
Does anyone happen to know the station requirements to craft Book of Scrawlings? Is it just a laboratory or does it require a master/factory?
I can check, one minute
weird, have you gotten the recipe and have you learned it, because I cannot find the file for the requirements, although I will say in general that item is low tier Radiant so it should be available in laboratory in case the recipe works and can be learned
nevermind, I found it
Seems like only laboratory is required
Thanks! I wanted to be sure before picking up the recipe. That is what I thought. Hopefully the recipe will work.
I am once again asking for tropics gathering commissions to be the correct lvl and not lvl 1
is there a JM animal husbandry table up in shol yet?
shol is behind on all tables looks like
The sanctus skulker recipes were supposed to be fixed according to the 18th patch notes. Anyone actually get them to work?
Hey guys, is making charcoal still worth it to sell to the NPC?
thats one nice willow .... would be a shame if ......
We must test the rarity
What is the best thing to craft to level up armorsmithing? Belt? Bracers?
Are there some buildings needed to unlock Journeyman Mining Pickaxe 2 recipe?
(EU, Joeva, stoneworks building done)
Or it is just a bug that it is not available?
Are common journeyman tools available to purchase from npc?
*Based on prices in auction I can see they are not available to purchase from an npc
i dont get the meaning of the momentary artisan stuff...
why not let the npcs sell 3, 10 and 20 basic again?
coloured are much more powerfull
As it is, it just prevents normal people to play on (normal =no big guild)
Stop spamming channels with tour stupid ass ad bitch
do gryphons and wyrmlings not drop mounts? only carcass?
never saw gryphons or wyrms as mount, so i dont think so
are there static nodes for higher level mats?
Ive heard this mentioned before, but unsure how it works..
just tried to add 12 heroic apprentice harvesting tools to the winstead EU market. Only 9 were added to my stall, the other 3 were lost
like ai gen, made zero effort
anyone kno how to craft things that require wilderness?
we dont know if the game will be good for anything but large guilds yet - still looks like that its a guild game except for the cool party combat which can be done as PuG
will prob be closer to may 2026 when settlement endgame is visible ingame and economy is understandable in endgame context
Has anyone else been able to upgrade the jewelry certificate the last couple of days? Made the trip from the anvils to upgrade, but eventhough im level 10, I cant upgrade it....
did you exceed the number of Apprentice artisan crafts allowed simultaneously?
I forget the numbers off the top of my head hadn't thought of it since December 24, was it 5 total above Novice?
yeah 5 above novice is the limit
Hmmm, might be the case, ill run the numbers later.. no ingame info or popups about this though, just nothing happens when I press the upgrade and dialog is closed
yeah, I had to investigate the first time around though you could just level up everything to whatever before I was needing six apprentice skills to do a craft and could only do 5
does anyone know if i process something at a certain quality rating (zinc ingot mid tier epic)
if i then use that in a necklace craft, does the zinc ingots quality rating?
think I'll have this finished tomorrow night
the "P" menu with the recipe listed will say: "Quality Item" or something referencing quality and then list all the items that affect quality the ingot should probably affect it
this calculator is finicky but can give you an idea what different qualities might do to your craft's final outcome, I used it to plan my book up there I just needed 24 legendary logs to guarantee epic (no time or desire to get 99 legendary even though that does seem like a nice thing)

I do wish half could be up to apprentice and a third to Journeyman but I also understand why they did it that way
Once level caps will be introduced, it will be bis if don't want to cross level range 10-20.
level caps? wtf
Like everything is very tenths-level gated. It would only make sense to have lot of motivations to not advance level pass tenth threshold. (e.g. corruption in case of pvp outside of level range of course 🙏 )
Hey guys, how much of gathering quality i have to reach to somehow feel it when im gathering. Or how does the quality affect the resource quality, please?
LF jm carpenter on Shol.
If an Item requires anvils Essence, does it have to be crafted in the anvils, or can it be crafted anywhere with a ranked appropriate station?
people listing novice crafted items at cost exactly on market
every recipe have sign where it could be crafted
where do you see the sign? is on on the codex
ingame, in a recipe under title
it will usually say Requirement: <area>
I learned "Sanctus mace" and it says it needs Riverlands essence but doesn't have a requirement for area so I can make here in Kal Torhum
So if Im not an crafter, but looking to gether mats for an item, hearing that some items have to be crafted in specific areas and if those areas dont have stations built its worthless, what is my best bet to figure out if it can be crafted in riverlands ?
But when I go to the (lol sorry am watching a show) menu it says "Requires: Wilderness" so I might not be able to make it I don't remotely have all the materials so haven't bothered trying to make it yet.
massive props to whoever put that graphic together, i love it, much easier to explain
can NA server craft SB armor and Carph armor?
No idea the original maker but I'm definitely happy to pass it around
why do u think so?
i dont think? im asking
WTF, does crafting quality do nothing now?
496 quality, and with full epic mats for a JM pickaxe, i got lowest roll possible
just based on smithy upgrades in EU Server im asking to see if the final smithy upgrades in NA server have given them all the mats required for processing mats like glittering steel etc
your smithy in NA has full upgrades? how did you get the factories built
Anyone know of a halfway decent area for tier two mining?
Lol we cant raft ilvl 26 yet
Well, you might be doing wrong thing with them...
they dont have it
and for all processing mats u need processing building upgrade
fair, i was hoping higher player count meant further progress on buildings than EU
we dont even know how we managed to get our upgrade we got.
We cant build a factory
How much can I buy Lego tin for
All journeyman armorcraft are bugged ?
?????????????????????????????????????????????
that's necessary for every single novice farming recipe
that's insane
The tier seems to be waiting on next level City 5 and the master/grandmaster requirements
no its just needs Master upgrade for SB armor and GM for carph
no ned for t5
u can even do it on t3
They're not meant to be for level 26 and 29 players from the launch of the city it seems, at least with the current setup where people can reach that level before the settlements reach that level. I wonder if it'll change and leveling off max level mobs won't occur the instant server opens and it'll more closely match development and leveling together
I just assumed it was something we'd need to get the upgrades later
i did bug report ot of this, i think price point is wrong and it should be in 33c category
I have bug reported it too. It is an novice ingredient, but is priced like those apprentice ones
Hopefully this gains traction. Crafting needs a little work. I see we are having issues with people only looting certain nodes that offer better than common materials. IMO it should not cost the same amount to craft common rarity as it does to craft every other rarity. This approach makes the common materials null and void as they do not offer as much exp as the higher rarity materials. Please make the crafting materials cost per rarity versus a flat amount across all. This would make the white material more valuable.
Man, I get that better, more rare gear would require 10 different matts that branches out to 10 more other stuff each which you have to access from 4 other different workstations. (exagerated much?)
What I don't' get is why they wanna make us crafter-wanna-be do exactly the same thing for like a "Novice pickaxe" lmaooooo.
For a first-time player this makes me feel like crafting is not worth at all, especially when you're in a small group.
I thought I'd never encounter a more tedious crafting sim than pax dei - This is it XD
be cool if someone made a rarity conversion chart.. like if I used 5 rare and 1 uncommon it would still be rare.. (just an example)
Is this a rare drop?
You can check this on ashescodex
still not 100% accurate
Would be nice if the game had values or showed crafting output like with processing
Can anyone confirm this item definitely exists and is gatherable? yet to find one and havent seen any sold
bruh i jsut calcualted JM ench scroll price just for vendor regs+ crafting fees
its over 40g
xD
for 1 scroll
Says anvils and caves, secondary drop from T2 in Anvils maybe cave only?
They used to cry when it was 25g. Enjoy!
WTB all your Common Roughrime! /w Shahmaran in Lotharia-EU
is this trade chat? WTB all ur common/unc/rare tendonite for 1s ea then!
Reported this as well as a bug, haven't seen any mention from them about adjusting it down 🙁 leveling farming now is so hard
It used to, it’s bugged now. AshesCodex has been 100% accurate for me after they updated it.
I think braidwood may be too rare now- ive been running around for 6 hours and havent seen anything across several days
good thing u need 1-2 for 26 ilvl weapons
and you cant even process braidwood atm without upgraded lumbermill
can bard do 2 songs? or just 1? and what am i suppose to do in party? just perma song and heal here and there?
unlucky. I see it all the time but I'm not a lumberjack
At higher levels you unlock counterpoint or crescendo to guide your playstyle
I use to seem them all the time until the JM lumberjack axes came into circulation now, very scarce
I see more than willow
Are the volcanic rocks just abysmal when it comes to higher rarity stuff?
It's literally static spawns. Just bad luck on your end
Yeah went through a 300 durability pick and nothing above a rare
I've got legendary and heroic banked. Don't know what to tell you
I thought static spawns were removed early in Phase 3
any farmers able to give me some tips on best way to get apprentice?
where do you get deconstruction kits from?
Use scrolls from commissions rewards
They were, but the patch got reversed within 24hrs due to a critical bug. They've been saying it's on their "to-do" list ever since
Tell me how this makes sense, I go from Joeva to Kal Torhum market, and it tells me I'm going to make 1g 4s 20c for the trip. I get there, and now it's saying I can sell it for 4g 47s and 10c?
Make it make sense. I get it's more, which is great, but I feel like I was lied to.
any eta on artisan skill trees?
im fairly sure it shows the base price of a common crate, with no saturation or rarity modifier
That’s for the white crate
Does this mean the wave cutter spear is able to be made at the moment?
Tanks have a couple heals that would very much appreciate a crit
the 0.4% above threshold for Epic for my item worked two different times on the calculator
Been so long since Ive seen braidwood, im starting to second guess myself. What does adolescent braidwood look like? Does it have the characteristic twisted trunk like the adult one does?
Well I didnt find a adolscent but rather an adult and it gave me 5x legendary so, suppose the waiting was worth it
Has anyone fished up journeyman anvil fish?
guys mb some1 know where is best place to farm Anvils Essence and which lvl need?
Are pylons currenly profitable or nahh?
ya'll got any of those armorsmithing fixes soon
Do all craftable items under Arcane engineering (NOVICE) yield the same exp? Or does rarer items/complex materials yield more exp?
how do commission crafting scrolls work? for example if I am crafing a big stack of items, the scroll lasts 5 mins. do I use before I craft the stack or before I claim?
crafting seems to be flat I suppose make it a set cost per level instead of speedrunning it with legendary items(?)
chat has said it's before, which I guess makes sense you can use one and then queue up a bunch of jobs instead of using it when they finish each time
Crafting XP is based on tier and the type of item ( and technically rarity but thats not working iirc). More mats usually means more XP but generally speaking each crafting profession has one recipe that is the most efficient for leveling
I just made the easiest item for me to gather materials for, wand or focus. I think some said they made deconstruction kits(?)
Do Pylons do anything atm?
yeah Deconstruction kits are the best for leveling last I checked
as long as you like copper/granite gathering, very little processing involved though
Is any leather radiant medium armor to craft? Hard to find in market the itens
Where can you get them from?
Ohhhh, interesting! Thanks
Why are some recipes darkened with an X regardless of the level and profession? Some JM weaponsmith are normal and others are dark with X
does any1 know where can I find Bagkindo?
Process slate or resonite into sand
I doubt it, but hoping for an crafting/gathering bug fixes for this update
Hope today's downtime they fixed Rootrot Pulp pricing ;/ not getting farming to 10 before they made the changes to need mulch is killing me
Some mixed emotions cause of the notion of a game nuke 😅
the X means you cannot use the item, low gather skill, should still be able to make it unless its a bugged recipe
Is it possible to make any of the Apprentice/Adept-level Jewellery? They all seem to either need workbenches in the Anvils or Master Jewellery Master Outpost 1. (Or is that the one by Briarmoor farm?)
yes, can make those in any town, winstead you can do journyman
Ones without X I still don't have requirements for
such as?
Interesting, thanks for the info - I was thrown by the recipe requirement for Master Outpost I
tthe master ones are for certain recipes, the level 29 stuff etc
Odd given the receipe is apprentice/adept - bug I guess
there's equivalent but different recipes for each biome in the menu listing the default recipes
Yeah, a lot of the +Mag Power stuff needs an apprentice-level workbench and Tabletop Mountains, it seems. Riverlands stuff seems mainly +Physical
we have that on Shol at Kal Torhum in the Marketplace crafting area
you'll probably need Anvils-local materials
Yep - Sunscorched stuff seems local to the desert - on EU the challenge is having high enough level workbenches outside of the Riverlands
no rootball fix, sorry gamers
And we got nothing
Let me craft my Heavy set . . .
Is us servers better to spread out?
@marsh vigil nothing about armorsmith craft debug ? we cant do nothing in journeyman
Or the outrageous cost of Rotroot Pulp being 1s 10c higher than other items it's level like blackberry seeds
For the love of god.. please unlock the JM recipes!!
Feel like sumitting bug report every hour on the hour
WTS Winstead Shol-US
Are leatherworking recipes (outside of novice ones) not working at all? I cant get anything to craft regardless of having the items and station required.
same with tailoring recipes in the Anvils at least not sure on Riverlands recipes. We're waiting on them to add the corrected recipes in, did a patch say they fixed the recipes in AC?
Im not sure if they talked about fixing them or not. I can use the recipe item itself but I cant get any apprentice items to craft. Leveling leatherworking with ONLY grem skins have been a drag.
Yeah, it seems like most all above novice recipes in armors in general are not currently functioning then. I've just switched to Engineernig myself to pass the time
Where can I found Raptor on the map?
hey; im pretty new too crafting and mostly run caravans; how much do high quality gear normally cost in gold?
I don't know if we have any recipes that are functioning for armor at least not in the Anvils aside from three pieces of each type. The minimum for weapons would be their processing cost plus the amount the crafter has added to give them a return they believe is worth their time and effort. I've seen Novice wands/books go for 5-50s depending on the rarity, Riverlands I see the same items listed for several gold.
man you guys telling me scribing needed a massive amount of rubies, its insane, did a break down
https://discord.com/channels/256164085366915072/1420173262738161735
noob question: if our level is capped at 25 does that mean we can effectively be "max profession" of 4 professions as opposed to 2, since the higher tiers are not available yet?
What is the best novice level leatherworking craft Xp wise?
Someone said they saw Ward of the Sevenfold Anvils Tailoring gear in game, I don't see how to craft it (recipes are bugged like tools used to be) does it drop or something?
Yes. 5 apprentice. 4 JM (these count towards the Apprentice amount as well)
where is apprentice craft station for mining axe and lumberjack axe. Was told Joeva but not finding them there
A apprentice weaponsmith can make those for you
thanks! didn't realize it was now weaponsmith
Is this a bug? I can't get this lock off
Though I already have the certificate(Shows apprentice now)
NVM this is fixed. I tried mining and it unlocked it to lvl 11 now
So according to the patch notes moving a crate now is slower, riding a horse does not slightly speed that up? Because I'm finding really really hard to have enough gold to craft in order to level my skills. It seems every craft is a giant money pit. Short of getting luck harvesting a large amount of legendary Matts that folks want and I can sell them just so I can plow all of that back into crafting. I don't see a way to make the gold??
is some1 know where to get prism dust for stonemasnry? i couldnt find it in any vendor Eu sw?
this friend
we have journeyman stoneworks but we cant get apprentice ingredient? Isn't it a problem? Maybe fix this in patch notes? <@&542059693779058748>
Nothing to do with the moderator team. We moderate, we no fix.
Sorry to ping then.. I dunnow who to ping, @dense sable maybe?
Need a master stoneworks to be able to buy that I believe
but its a bit odd, then why is this require apprentice certification?
Maybe a GM can explain to me why you under cut the cooks so much. 13 silver to make roasted chicken but once journeyman station comes up you can buy roasted chicken from the vendor for under 6 silver
Correct, Mules haven't been developed yet so wearing a crate and being on any mount is all the same speed as walking.
If you want to run crates right now you can slow walk it or Caravan them.
Not odd, Alpha. This isn't truly a game, its a work in progress that has lots of bugs. Use /bug in game and report it. They'll get to it eventually
yeah i agree, but i looked it up and somebdy already mentioned it earlier, from that time to now, they didnt fix it, thats odd
is leather borked or just forced to use common?
Well. If it's at the bottom of list of bugs, and they aren't making an active bug push, and it's not critical, it could be a while.
has there been any word on armour smithing. absolutly stupid that cant craft JM at a smithy
Hey guys, the system wasn't always like this right and it's a bug? I didn't need apprentice mining to make an apprentice mining bag with tailoring previously, now you need apprentice tailoring and apprentice of what ever bag you're making. Can anyone confirm from previous phases or if they've said anything about this?
I have JM tailoring lol
Anyone knows Where to get Corrupted Spirit bloom?
That is to wear it not to craft it
you can not craft it either without apprentice of the bag you're trying to craft
I can craft the herbalism/fishing ones fine coz I have master in that, but I have novice mining/hunting/lumberjacking and can't craft those
weird
has anyone seen grave lily spawns this phase?
What does adolescent braidwood look like? Only ever seen adult
I just promoted my jewelry certificate to apprentice, but none of the recipes I purchased show up on the bench. I confirmed that the bench is the appropriate level and my artisan tab shows that I have the promoted certificate -- I was considering demoting and promoting again. Has anyone else run into this? I see some posts various places online but none have any responses or answers.
Strange coz i have minig 3 and i did mining bags for my guild without problems.. also hunting shirts or bags. But it was last week before the patch from tuesday
shirts were okay as well I think but for the tailoring bags you need apprentice in the profession the bag is being made for now (which is defo a bug). I've bug reported it, hopefully they fix it soon
It looked like small braidwood
Did it have the signature twisted trunks or was it just a single trunk?
Former. I swear it was just the adult model shrunk down basically.
Gotcha, hmm maybe I have seen one but I do not think I have - I feel like braidwood is perhaps a little too rare now that everyone has the JM axes swinging about
They don’t exist in Phase 3
Feels that way lol
No, the adolescent ones literally do not exist in Phase 3
I’m not being metaphorical
Oh I thought you were talking about braidwood in general - okay well that would make more sense as to why I have never seen one
This is similar with alchemy/scribing too. At the JM station, you can just buy apprentice/JM health/mana potions cheaper than what it costs to process
but i remember making bags for my guys and i had no issue. Im herbalist and have no lumber or mining and i was able to do apprentice bags, reminder it was before the tuesday update
All that type of recipe is Riverlands mats and riverlands only crafting still?
lol Emberwake Vestements cost 8+ silver to craft and they're on the market for 3.85s
yea they borked it, will check again now after this patch
Is there a Weaving Station in Emberspring?
Any other JM Carpenters all of sudden not seeing the Master Bow recipes in Joeva? Was there 3 hours ago... nada now. Have relogged a few times. Another JM Carp said he was having same issue.
same issue
came here to see if anyone else was having the same
which bag though? leatherworking, tailoring or carpentry? there's 3 diff types
and you can't equip the bag unless you have apprentice or higher in that gathering profession
Anyone know what the highest DMG crafted weapon is?
IF Artisan timing is going to be this slow, then the devs need to put in more that 2 crafting windows lol
LW i was just seeing that people were unable to craft them without saying the type either and yeah thats what i was saying about not needing the cert to craft them but LW bags working for me....... if you need bags lemme know 🙂 8g
Where do i need to go for journeyman fishing ticket currently?
If the city has a JM station there’s 5 total
Is it slow though?
We're only a few weeks in and already have JM access
If most peeps were around level 15 I'd say pace between nodes, crafting and level would be fairly ok
Unless someone rushes long days exclusively following some levelling guide to 25 crafting is seemingly slow catching up to it, but I see a lot of players between 10-18 and there's a lot of people already making Radiant items so it doesn't seem like bad pacing really.
We just don't have all the recipes in yet, I would probably doing better in combat if I could craft more than novice armor in Anvils 😄
why we cant demote fishing artisan?
Anyone else having this issue as well ?
Imagine getting lvl 20 to just be bugged an can't make shit........
Meanwhile others have no issue crafting the same items? huh..
Also the RMTers. lol.
I really enjoy econ, but only if it works. Heeelp.
@dense sable
there is no "add" button for the tanned bear hide.
yeah had that issue with making cows but it still pulled it from my inventory
but now I can't make butter even with the milk, says insuficent resources
bro... how can this be an oversight? did they not test the crafting system themselves? I am confused as F.
IDK. if it's like this for everyone then ok . But being told its only certain people that got bricked crafting? If that is true. games bricked until fixed imo.
To Many journeyman craft bug .. No armorsmith Work , leather bug … Maybe other
Yeah he’s lost lmao
k
anyone know what this comes out as if you get a mount? speed? health? etc...
50% mount or 50% beast (using for caravans)
I meant what are the stats if it comes out a mount?
Oh,sry u right my bad
What's the big diff between a "mount" or a "beast"? Sorry new
Never bred anything yet
I think there is no info at least I didn't find it
The beast is to use in caravans only, getting speed
Mount is a Mount for you to walk around Verra
I see I didn't know that appreciate it!
There is 50/50 change to get one or another
And I'm assuming a blue wolf > a white tier wolf in stats/speed no?
Hehehehe.. is better doing it when u have some good gear/lvl since is most a pvp activity. Or doing it in hours there not much going on
Hey wondering if anyone has played much with the enchanting/tempering kit systems and has some info or guides for it
Is there a reason why no nodes (basalt, granite, daffodils) around me are showing me the option to gather?
Fresh tank with a question. What would be a good gathering/processing/crafting combo for a tank. I have no guild atm. I just need to make money but I will invest time into crafting unless it's not best to just gather and buy someone elses work off AH.
what are people buying all this rare bass for?
Decorating their freeholds
Not currently able to make this into anything with Animal Husbandry. It worked in 2.0 and 2.5, busted now.
crates
You're going to need a lot of metal for armor. Mining and metalsmithing is a good place to start.
Ok I will do it. Appreciated!
Ok Ty
so a question if i use a scroll of processing of 5 mints and use it before doing it even the process takes 40mints it still works the buf ?
use it before you pick it up, like activate it then claim the stack
yeah before you claim the stack, thats how I've been using it and it works. I think its because you don't actually get the xp until you pick up the stack not when you craft
have enough people tested that? Because if thats true its the opposite of every other phase..
Up until this phase it 100% took your stats/buffs when you started the job
Processing scroll when start job
Adventuring xp scroll when collect job
where are Birds of Paradise at in Jundark?
is it much faster to level craft skills using Rarer matts? Realized it's the case now no? So quality > quantity???
actually its quantity
But would it be faster tho if I used higher rarity? Say I have a fton of Green Zinc??
quality dont give more xp. green is ok though to grind imo
Oh hh bummer. I was hoping for both.
Okay that makes sense then. Crafting is too much manual
If Anyone comes across ScorchWander Recipes which are Adept, Please let me know
Anyone able to quickly check the price on “grain lock wax” and “woodworker oil”
Its all 8s 29c
Something around there, maybe the copper is a bit off by 10 or so
Ty, at work planning a book for a guildie and trynna figure the cost
Well mb, wax is 33c and woodworker oil is also 33c. Common is 33 and Uncommon is 8s 46c
they look like elephants ear but with bright yellow above them
in the Jundark ?
if they spawn there, thats what to look for
I just saw that Howling Wolf armor requires Master Leatherworking Outfit 1, are those not in the game yet?
does levelling up gathering professions actually make you better at gathering now? I have 400 spoils and no +spoils gear
Does anyone at all know what the heck is going on with farming? Logged in after several days of being out of town and found out that I have all of these droppings with nothing to do with them.
And this rockroot pulp costs almost two silver it makes no sense at all
guys the "Thornstride emblem" is worth +/- 1g ??
Does anyone have specific information on where this recipe drops? Can it drop from mobs in Riverlands 20+, or is it limited to Anvils?
Crafting these on Shol for anyone interested in BIS HMU
Any EU Cooks able to dm me and answer some questions about the systems
nightriver GS is better in terms of stat weights, so i wont call this a bis
Its just weapon with biggest power on 26 ilvl
Is that weapon a Jundark based recipe?
Meaning it needs a Settlement with a Master Weaponsmithing table in the Jundark to craft it?
why is there a need for master station to craft items 20-29, shouldn't master station be for items 30-39?
Tier I, II and III with II and III requiring settlement upgrades to make and seemingly the recipes are a lot at least that I've seen to replicate the gear that can drop from POIs
so the issue is basically in the naming of the stations, since calling it a master station, you would assume its for master artisans -> divine gear. It should still be the journeyman station, but with upgrade level x
It is for that level of gear, but the higher Tier gear will require a settlement to have reached that level of crafting ability to make.
Nah u can make it any where
You should remember to bug report that, as that is a bug.
or maybe they realised having to craft weapons at 5 different places is aids
and most other biomes will never get gm stations
why is crafting so annoying in this game
15 different types of materials and only 4 slots for harvesting
troll af
No, it’s a bug. That is intentional design. I agree with you that it’s really clunky, but this recipe is bugged.
Yeah this is a universal complaint. It gets a lot better once you get Journeyman Bags. The Journeyman Mining bags have 9 separate spaces that each hold about 80.
nah it's the requirement: xx not being active, why would anyone leave winstead?
An updated version of my commodity crates guide.
This can also be found on Reddit
https://old.reddit.com/r/AshesofCreation/comments/1ns0rod/commodity_crates_guide_updated/?
@river compass the level 29 item crafting is likely GM upgrade station specific to the item type? I still haven't googled settlement crafting station upgrades
I don't know what it looks like. I saw someone selling this sword made from Anvil materials. I already have the recipe. My question is, can it only be crafted in Anvils? Or in Riverland as well?
U need master station to craft like 30% of Adept 10-20 Jewelerry :’)
They're intended I think to be only made in anvils but currently everything is craftable in riverlands
Seems like this must be temporary due to level cap, otherwise what stations would we use to craft actual master and grandmaster level stuff
Is there like a guide on how to craft, make money, etc? I feel like i am so broke and have no gear at lvl 8
Farm glint, sell glint or craft
But how do u even craft? everything feels so confusing
Gotta do some research, there are guides out there.
Does anyone know if their is any recipe drops for alchemy stuff or where you can buy them
There is none which is sad
all the Tier 2 (level _6) and Tier 3 (level _9) items are that way
It’s really complex. The simplest guide I can give you to making money is hit level 10, gather good mats, and sell them on the market of the biggest city
Where do you get recipe for gs ?
What's g's short for
Great sword
is it true mining quality doesn't work ?? are they planning on fixing it if so
It doesnt work because static rarity is in the game currently
when that gets fixed, the quality will work
as a side note, there will be a reckoning coming for material rarity... stock up on what you have now, because when static rarity is fixed, all other gathering rarities will be like hunting and fisihing.... say goodbye to 200+ legendary oak sitting around
Now, if they actually update pylons along with this, than thats a different story
thats not true, i had clusters of same rarity and sometimes one of resources in that cluster was 1 rarity grade higher, meaning ur quality works
I dont care what you experienced or believe, it has been explicitly stated by Intrepid that static rarity is still in game
its one of the big things they are addressing
how does it differs with what i am saying not-caring boy?
Static rarity means that BASE rarity (lowest u will gather from that node or cluster) is Static. Your quality CAN work on-top of that Base
if thats been explained somewhere, I would love to hear it. I have not heard anything about that
well
static rarity means node is predetermined what rarity it will have
we have others instances of predetermined rarity in game.
- clusters - they are always same rarity together, but sometimes you can find one part of cluster 1 grade rarity higher
- we had freeholds where u yourself predetermine rarity of plant/tree which you grow there, and i had freehold in 2.5 and i can say sometime it yeild higher rarity.
So tell me why predeterimness of rarity should work differently in your case?
quality has an affect on pre determined rarity results, its just such a low chance to affect it as its the second roll after the initial predetermined roll that you need so much quality to affect it noticeably
There was a big news post from the devteam about changing that though, it was back in May IIRc. They wanted to have it in the game until may 23?
100% sure that the gathering quality stat is still WAY too low rn, but im also sure the system hasnt changed since P2, so the planned changes from may are not in the game yet
I think what did change was that static rarity was removed. However that was then reintroduced in the clusters.
So depending wether people are hitting a cluster or not affects what theyre seeing too
I guess i should also say for clarity static rarity also isnt actually static. Its just static for 20-24 hours
new player here, how am i supposed to learn where specific resources for gathering are, ie. zinc, snowdrop, etc.
when i mined granite, some zinc came out of it but it didnt contribute to my commission quest progress
sounds like the commission is for a turn in. there should be a box next to the commission board
General FYI: I was scammed out of some time and money this morning by CrescenDoom on Shol. They had asked in global for metalworkers for ingot. Me and another made the ingots for them and then they were asking for stonemason in global, so I said I had app stonemason. Made him epic slate mold, then told him I had JM weaponsmith too. So I make the weapon for them with 10 Rare Ingots, 10 Rare Boards and Epic Slate mold. JM Mining axe comes out blue, but on the higher end of stats. They say that is impossible, ashes codex said it would be heroic. I gave him the pickaxe before he gave me money which was my fault but then they refused to pay me anything and calling me scammer in global. Be aware when crafting that people may look at codex and expect a result that is different than reality. It's apparently a hard thing to accept.
Mining quality works it just sucks. There’s some old posts on the forums explaining the math. It works with static rarity. And if static rarity gets removed it doesn’t mean it’ll work like hunting. Hunting mobs all spawn with static common rarity. The only way to get better ones is with quality procs. You have a base 10% quality proc with no gear, so when you gather a grem at level 1 you’re 90% common, 9% uncommon, 0.9% rare, 0.1% heroic+
So it depends on what “removing static rarity” actually means
I suspect it means moving to a system where the base rarity is rolled when you harvest and then quality rating works on top of that, not a system where all nodes spawn as common like in hunting
Howdy all, I came across the recipe for ScourglassMag Longbow and would like to make it. But I am at a loss as to where scourglass emblems should be farmed. Any advice would be appreciated. https://ashescodex.com/db/item/Gear_Weapon_Longbow_2H_ScourglassMag
I find it unlikely that recipe is craftable given the note on AshesCodex so I’d advise you look into something else
Really I’d just hit level 20 and get a Sunfire Emberheart Longbow (whatever the level 23 magic Riverlands longbow is)
thank you for the response. I had the idea that i would experience how difficult it is to farm a decent adept weapon recipe. Most of the ingredients are easy to get, so it's mainly a question of what lvl my character and party would need to be to farm the scourglass emblems and how long it will take.
Honestly I don’t have the faintest idea. A lot of emblem drops seem kinda borked. If you do go for it gl and I hope it’s working!
Anyone know how to make "Sand?" Is it a byproduct? I've levelled Stonemasonry to Apprentice, but can't find the recipe at any table, or in my personal Artisan tab. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
its on the furnace
!! Thanks Darkxblade !!
Common flax …
having issues crafting. I am apprentice tailor. when i go to the JM table to craft to craft dewthread it continues to state unable to craft. insufficient funds. I have minimally +1 of every mat just to make sure and ample gold. where am i going wrong?
Most recipies are bugged
Whole crafting is shit this phase ngl
They fixed gathering, but fricked the recipies
are people going with epic t1 mats cuz it still make craft legendary or what? leg dropped in price past 2 days
How powerful is the guild crafting quality buff?
every recipe on the novice vendor in Anvils requires Grem skin, and or oak / ash. all of which only exist in the Riverlands. Maybe this should be changed?
same with the carpentry oak / copper when those, again, are riverlands resources
Does anyone have a proven method or idea where to get Anvil Essence?
Anvils, maybe humanoids? I haven't noticed whether or not it drops from animals.
Zero use for it for me since until the PTR patch is in we can't craft with it in the Anvils the recipes only work in Riverlands benches right now.
Which rock cntains tin
Slate
I hate mining in this phase. The visuals in previous phases were far superior and made the discovery fun and exciting, now it's a boring grind 🙁
Can anyone else confirm for leatherworking that you need to also have apprentice in the skill ypu're making the bag for?
For example if you're making an apprentice mining bag you need apprentice leatherworking and apprentice mining
Yes, there's a plethora of Riverlands recipes that require RoughRyme, Tendonite, and Table Top Mountain workbenches to make jewellery as well...
Time sinks are part of the game, especially for high-level desirable stuff, but pointless running back and forth at low levels when you might not even make it with the mats in one piece is tedious. Hopefully, these will get fine-tuned in the update.
wait, are sheep non-existant?
yes, u need farmer upgrade
The thing shown in this screenshot is that the vendor in Anvils only sell Riverlands recipes and the Anvils sets are not in game for novice purchasable recipes. I didn't see them on PTR but they did have Adept recipes active, we likely have hawk skin/snowdrop novice recipes in their plans but they're not implemented this is definitely not a time sink thing. The Roughrime etc you see in riverlands tables should only be in Anvils from what I can tell but currently people have said every fixed recipe they've added in works in Riverlands.
Has anyone seen a comment from Steven or anyone regarding the possible fix to all the JM Professions/recipes that are holding us back from doing our jobs?
Are alchemists making sodium carbonate yet?
PTR notes list several hundred recipe fixes but doesn’t give any more detail than that.
Yes.. and none of them address the issues with JM. Several of us was on the PTR reviewing it and the recipes are fixes for things represented incorrectly with the codex apparently.
I too expected this would be addressing the current issues faced on P3
Did they get a PTR vender with every recipe and material?
basalt and granite weapon molds require oak, there's no oak in the anvils
When I wake up, well, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who walks 5000 miles to riverlands
it'd be nicer if they either regionalized fully. stone / wood / etc, with fully regional recipes. OR, how about T1 wood / T1 stone etc
this half / half is what's annoying now that they're doing more. it shows they've done good work, but where it's missing it's like "but you already did this elsewhere"
but the issue is, you can't make starter armor, as it requires granite armor molds, in the anvils
any tips how to lvl scribe the best?
is it just crafting scrolls?
and any tips how to make gold with alchy and scribing 😄 or better tips how to combine them? atm i have Scribe / Alchi for Grandmaster later + hurb, mining, fishing or should i change something:?
There was the vendors in the game just as they are represented on P3; however, all the JM recipes that are "unavailable" are still broken just as they are on P3. No fix.
That's what I thought. They kind of should get a recipe and material PTR vender if they want to test all the T3 and higher grade crafting is all working.
was armorsmithing JM still broken?
I've seen people mention it before instead of running around looking for it every new PTR session
Making the materials purchasable is the first part of testing. We can't get the materials to even test if the craft will work sadly.
any tips for scribing :? how to lvl and make money with it and alchemy :?
I bought a few recipes from the market for JM Leatherworking since we are unable to purchase them hoping I would be able to craft them since I had the recipe; however, we arent able to buy the reagants or anyting to go with it.
So not able to test if the crafting part even works
theyd have to give us master benches to fully test 26 recipes were having issues on prod with
Yeah it's a bit of a mess for testing purpose in that way
Scribing and Alchemy I think are hit pretty hard with the venders selling basic level stuff way below what you can make it at cost wise. Though most everything crafted is unprofitable right now
That in itself is a flawed design. Why do we need Master benches to make Journeyman gear.. lol
The JM stuff needing master level ingredients seems weird unless it's some coding they got wrong
It was like giving us novice/apprentice workstations only to keep the apprentice recipes on vendors that didn't pop until we built JM level buildings. lol
thats what i thought too its pretty hard to lvl aswell with 10 Rubys for just 1 Scroll to craft or App Mana Savl with like 50s base cost
my only thinking is theyve done it like that so we can test the upgrade system at our pretend level cap
undoubatbly when they they release master crafting and lvl 30 EVERYTHING needs changing requirements again and there will be mistakes again 😛
Wow how long does it take to get to the anvils from riverlands, i have 260 oak in my pack
15-20min
Through the tropics, so a little dangerous if you aren't paying attention
is lego ancient dunzen wand craftable ?
Anyone know if the recipe for Bronze Longbow and Bronze Long Spellbow are bugged? I have learned both recipes but theyh do not show up at the crafting bench. And yes, I am using the right benchs and am the appropriate carpentry level.
Then most likely bugged yes, a lot of JM recipes are out right bugged right now. Seems like the PTR patch though have managed to fix a lot if not all recipes
anyone able to tell me why i cant buy the bottom half of this vendor? JM Stonemason, JM Jewelcrafter.....
requires probable master upgrade as with other benches
would that be considered a bug if some of those (eg prism dust) are a material for JM craft ingredients?
No, you just have to upgrade the building in the town
The name scheme is confusing because the upgrade is called master bench
ugh such a lovely feature👎
Does anyone know if processing/crafting costs are the same across nodes? Also does it get lower if I get citzenship?
is there trick or tipp to find Limestone, Mourning Slate, Wyrdstone etc.??
Where do I get Prism Dust? It says available at vendors, but I have yet to see one carrying it.
Lower with citizen rank
Taxes affect it too

anyone know what professions best support tailoring?
I have herb, weaving, tailor so far. But thinking about going lumbermilling for boards or tanning for leather because you need both for tailor for some reason... Is it possible to do both to support JM tailoring?
You can GM two skills M and additional one (your two GM also count as M) and JM an additional 2. So at this time you can have 4 skills at JM. So you’d have to pick Lumberjack or Milling and buy the lumber or buy the labor.
2 GM + 1 M + 1 JM + 1 App + rest novice
not JM an additional 2
or the other way all novice + 5 promoted to App, of those 5, 4 can be promoted to JM leaving 1 forever at App, then of those 4, 3 can be promoted to M, leaving 1 forever at JM, then of those 3, 2 can be promoted to GM, leaving 1 forever at M
Thanks
They were working fine for me BUT there has been a bug reported that makes items not appear on benches for certain players. I’d advise you to report it.
Herb, Weaving, Tailoring, Lumberjacking, Lumbermilling. Keep the two gathering professions at JM. Keep Lumbermilling at JM. Keep Weaving and Tailoring at Apprentice and upgrade one certification at a time as needed because the guy who changes those two certifications is the same guy. Makes it easy.
any know the cost of a heroic raptor bone?- as a buyer
Alternatively you can do milling/tanning and accomplish something similar. Main point is using weaving/tailoring to “get” another JM prof
I want tailor at JM to make gear though, the goal is to support that
herbalism and weaving are your main two. other than that you can pickup hunting and tanning to help with skin for clothes
You following any kind of 'progression' guide? i'm also interested in taking up tailoring but it seems to expensive (so looking for the most efficient path)
I haven't been able to find any guides. I think people are holding onto info pretty tightly.
The crafts (tailor, AC, WC etc) have a set amount of exp per craft of each item regardless of rarity so the least ingredient recipes may be your cheapest or whichever recipe you can easily gather/buy the mats for to craft. I'm personally a fan of the shoes in novice tailoring or the shields in novice weaponcraft since those I can gather pretty quickly for the making of and no matter what the rarity of mat I gain the same exp so can use common mats to advance my level. I understand it will cost to process the mats or pay someone else to do it because I'm leveling up the craft.
A Crafting Exp scroll used before making a large amount of an item also is helpful since the basic ones I get from commissions last about 5 minutes I stockpile mats to make that simple item and then make a large batch all at once before returning to find more materials.
I can sometimes sell the items I make to other players on the market is my consideration also on what to craft to advance my skill level in that craft. Some things I don't see any useful return on the items I'd make so don't bother trying to sell but others I've made like a Rare(blue) item or five while leveling craft and listed on market to make back some of the money. I was also able to sell common novice weapons and armor since there's a lower chance to drop those items currently.
Selling unprocessed rocks, trees is also very useful for making money either over /trade /shout or through the Settlement Trade marketplace listings depending on their rarity or demand you can make money and lots of people with extra coins are willing to just buy mats vs gather them.
Why cant I buy journeyman recipes or reagents? I am Journeyman Tailoring, leatherworking, and tanning but I can buy reagents or recipes
I have a couple of questions regarding processing/crafting:
1- Does the rarity of the materials you use influence the experience you get?
2- When Im crafting something that requires several pieces of the same material, If I use dfifferent rarities of the material will it always consider the lowest one for quality?
-
In processing rarity yes(?), in making items Tailoring etc no.
-
the "quality items" listed if you have 100% of blue rarity it will be blue in the outcome, if you have 1 less it will be the lower quality result there are some unofficial calculators like on Ashes Codex that can show you what the outcome would be with mixed rarities. I used like 24 Rare, 17 Heroic and then of another item like 14 legendary and got a Heroic item they must each have individual values internally to reach each threshold. I think they plan to have the output show the result in-game in the future with your rarity combinations if you mix and match.
Does anybody know how to build a better Jeweler crafting station in a city? I moved to Joeva only to realize I can't even make apprentice jeweler recipes here and curious of I can get it upgraded so I can.
You can’t, the mayor builds things with citizen contributions and there is limited space, so there likely will not be an additional one. Gotta run to where it is to do it.
For your second one, for crafting, play around with the simple calculator on AshesCodex.com and see.

In order to craft some clay, we need some water.
Is it normal that the water counts as a quality score for the clay?
Is it possible to get higher quality water?
Water is not meant to count towards quality but it does at the moment
How does someone get 'crafting quality' rating? (carpentry)
Hi, Do you also use deconsruct to regain some of the materials? or i s that not effective in this phase?
I personally don't gather enough of the granite/copper to take the time to do that but people in chat do, I imagine at higher Adept or Journeyman you'd want to do that.

when processing mix rarity ash timber, the preview result shown as epic, is that mean I will get all 77 timber as epic?
nvm, I tested 3 epic + 1 heroic and result is 4 heroic
Seeds being a "quality" ingredient, when there's no mechanism to acquire them above vendor common, kinda hurts
Hey guys what's the current build doing for animal husbandry? I cannot stress how badly I want to ride a wolf
Anyone know the name of the lowest grade Radiant Heavy Armor? Like 2nd Division was for Initiate and Aelan Chain for Adept? Thanks!
it seems the same as before though I've only run two animals through the machine, 50/50 beast of burden
aight, so no change then
I got a bear the first try and then a bob bear after
in the Anvils with my local ingredients I see Moltruin, taking Tendonite Armor Plating and Granite Armor molds
Riverlands basic looks like it's called Greathollow
So, streambound emblems. Any luck finding them anywhere? I've found a few with Mycellion in the Joeva region. Anybody had any luck with any other mobs?
I get different Anvils-equivalent emblems from humanoids, they have names that sounds like factions so maybe they're supposed to come from certain mobs or mob types but I seem to get all essences and emblems from the Wilderherds and Highwaymen here
Gooood point. I'll test out some humanoid groups! Thanks Tom!
Lads, I got 20 armour smithing but can’t craft anything not even base 20 radiant gear? Is that normal or what
I read a Reddit post about what each rarity adds to values, but when crafting, should I be using the best materials I have, or should I try to keep all rarities the same. Like if I got majority of my inputs in Rare, and I got some uncommon stuff as well, should I just craft it? Or wait until I get everything at Rare.
use the crafting calculator on the codex for specifics, but rule of thumb is all materials of the same rarity to achieve that rarity, you can combine high an low rarity to make something between them with slightly better stats. https://ashescodex.com/artisan/crafting-calculator

Oh dang! I didn’t know codex had that! That’s handy as he’ll 🙂
ya the creator of the codex is a goat ngl he threw it up so fast.
what are you trying to make? a lot of the recipes are bugged
We have access to the patch notes of what is upcoming tmr or no? Curious what changes are coming for crafting and if I should craft my item tonight before the recipe changes and I lose a week of gathering and processing
from logging in to PTR I see tanned hawk skins for Apprentice Tailoring in Anvils stations so those seem to be in potentially in this patch. I didn't see any of the Riverlands stations so couldn't say what changes happened over there.
Been gathering and processing, finally have over 100 epic dried board, bunch of tin and braidwood, and if the recipe changed before I finished it would be frustrating, happy to see they are fixing the tanned skins tho
WC, Carpentry or ? it sounds like a Riverlands recipe?
A fancy wand and focus from arcane eng
Ah, they seem functional for me in Anvils Apprentice 19 recipe, I think they have all the ingredients they should in the Live build I imagine the Riverlands recipes are more functional.
Thanks!
It looks like the Thornstrike Stonebind Focus has the correct ingredients if that's one of the items. @grizzled anchor
Is a gathering node's rarity random, or is it always the same rarity?
Intended system is random, current system spawns the node in with its rarity at server up until next server restart (is my understanding)
WTB Tidepiercer rare+ pieces (100g+ for each)
youd be lucky to find an uncommon for 100g lolk
Is might even that good? Or are people getting it for other bonuses?
Already have one
anyone know for sure if naval fishing is gonna be part of normal fishing or seperate skill (assuming its still being worked on)?
they said on the livestream its the same fishing skill
tyvm havent had the chance to watch that yet most aprechaited !
current system is - there are clusters of 'never common' resources scattered around the map, like good ash harvesting here, good granite harvesting over there, and good everything harvesting just down there. they can spawn as any rarity except common, maybe theres even a small chance of common, but ive got 5 leg ash from a tree and 5 uncommon on the next respawn when testing to see if it would be locked on leg. 'static' is a confusing term i think. maybe some resources are actually locked in on certain rarities, but thats hard to prove. ive definitely hit some trees 20+ times and only ever seen rare, and others the same amount and only ever seen heroic, but there are way more around that can be any rarity except common, in the riverlands and desert at least
theres visual tells for most of em, although thats going tomorrow, and the daffodil tell seems to have gone already
and theres other little things, like a lone oak in an ash grove or vice versa is usually gonna be good
ah, so the ones getting all of higher rarity were just using the tooltip thing or that overlay that guild has for their members or whatever.
Yeah, the trees etc have that special skin for the different kinds aside from the mouseover thing
idk about that, i do know ive seen a TON of legendaries just by paying attention after i first found a spot where all the trees were blue+
Thats because youre talking about the resources that arent a cluster
clusters are "static" in that theyre static for 18-24 hours at a time
nothing is actually static
there is also high rarity areas, though i only know that exists for trees
(which is the everything is uncommon or higher youre talking about)
theres good daffodil and snowdrop spots, good granite and basalt spots, i dont really hunt and i dont fish much so idk about that, or anything outside riverlands+desert
spots that stay the same always? or for a day
Oh I didn't realize there were two of you talking to eachother
yeah so theres 3 things,
High rarity areas, clusters and just general resources.
High rarity areas, are big areas of everything thats uncommon, always. clusters are groups of static rarity that move around every 18-24 hours, and then everything else is predetermined rarity each time it spawns
(the whole game used to be like clusters and thats why the community hates is so much)
yeah i kinda locked myself out of exploring a whole lot now, i know where to go to get good resources of the kinds i can currently use and so the motivation to go looking for more is pretty low
its going to change eventually theyve said but right now its in place so look for the spots, id been playing the game for less than 10 hours when i first found one and realised more might exist so theyre not very hard to find if youve got a bit of an exploratory attitude
in fact i guarantee everyone reading this has run over the top of a good daffodil spot 100 times
Can someone please tell me if the Apprentice Mining Mattock (increase quality pickaxe) is still in the game or am I just blind trying to find this
Is possible to craft the bloodrunner set?
Anyone know that the most efficient armorsmithing item to craft for leveling is?

2nd division belt ?
Anyone placing odds on if they will fix JM Workstations/Recipes being "unavailable" in this patch?
well 23 ilvl stuff missing is not that of big deal since it sucks anyway, and for higher ilvl armors u need upgraded stations, and i think there is no LW armor or tailor upgraded on both servers, and 26 weapons are working fine
A Question about pricing, what would you all expect to pay for a Legendery Apprentice HUnting bow?
5g
we will be crafting level 26 leather before the 23 recipes are even available
It’s supposedly fixed per the PTR notes, yeah. They claimed they’d fixed 400 recipes and 150 crafting bugs.
Is there a player made diagram that lines all the professions togethor
Like what goes with what
I hope so.. the last time I was on PTR (Friday Sept 26) they claimed to have had all those recipe fixes on the PTR and yet most of the JM Vendors still had all the JM recipes listed as "unavailable". I hope it is fixed for sure.
The vendor-sold recipes unlock based on building construction. That’s not a bug. I’m fairly sure you need master tier of something to unlock JM recipes from that vendor.
Well.. that makes zero sense. Why need master skills or master stations for JM crafting. Kinda of like having Apprentice recipes still on vendors that didn't pop until you stood up the JM stations.
its just a naming convention
They stated in writing at some point and then Steven mentioned in an interview recently they wanted those Tier 2 and Tier 3 recipes to unlock as craftable with World Development - ie Settlement Upgrades like the master specialization in the settlement upgrade track the mayor chooses.
So this place has upgraded through work of the citizens to produce this type of item etc
Which is fine, but it still doesn't change the fact that it makes zero since to have the players make a Master Tier station in order to craft Journeyman Items or to need a Journeyman station to craft Apprentice gear. Making recipes available based on progression of the node is perfectly fine.
But that's what those are, the master upgrade to say stonemasonry or whatever it takes is progression of the settlement. The Tier 2 and 3 items are what the copies of POI drop gear or special recipes from loot so I'd guess their in-game lore is that it would take more specialized crafting ability to produce or whatever but I think it's mainly to require improvement of settlements and corrdination to produce a variety of higher tier items instead of it just being simple to make anywhere.
There is also zero clue for new players that their newly acquired recipe can't be crafted even though they are at station with name that matches requirements of recipe.
Crafting stations should indicate clearly what 'level' they are at, and so should recipes i.e. the level we can see on codex but not in game
Can you only process 1 item at the time now?
So what’s actually fixed?
For crafting, it seems a couple hundred recipes that weren't listing the correct ingredients should be working now, I believe I can (once I tan some hawk skin) make the Adept Anvils cloth armor.
I think the number thing is new in the UI
whats the closest crafting station town to bonfire?
on Shol there's the NPC stations at Bonfire hill and Hammerrest and then the nearest settlement will be Kal Torhum to the SW
ty
is it possible to get more material storage space in bonfire?
No
womp womp
bonfire, hammers rest is like the storage in Samias and lionshold
to hammers i go >.<
nice feature!
thats strange because those are ilvl 23 recipes from armor venfor, and they are locked behind Master upgrade?
i mean wepsmith/arcane/carpentry has all 23 ilvl already built in, why u need to lock 23 ilvl recipe behind master upgrade
actually recipe shows Station requirement, and you can see at Town buildings which buildings are present and which upgrade thye have
ilvl 3-19 should be craftable in t3 city.
all 23 with JM
26 Master
29 GM
Easy as that
Stupid we had to wait weeks to craft Itemlevel 6 Mistwood gear
Yea 23 shouldnt be locked behind any master upgrade
How does that scale? Max level is level 50. We shouldn't be creating newly implemented placeholder systems for alpha. In fact, quite the opposite
? 26 is Master ingame already mate
Why do u think Master Weaponsmith is in Winstead?

I still think it is a placeholder so that the upgrade/town building can be tested considering were at an artificial max level, and will be for a long time
Yup
Its just weird we cannot craft Itemlevel 6 gear for weeks, considering u get lv 10 in 2h easy
I really dislike that they make you rely on other so much. I mean sure, it’s an MMO, but if i want to be a leather worker, I should be able to make that start to finish.
Sure, I can’t be an armor smith and a leather worker and a tailor, but at least I could do one thing by myself start to finish, level 1-50.
I agree its bit rough u need like 5 players for one grandmaster piece
I think lots of what they're doing is max server state testing. Time will tell
Yeah, it’s ridiculous. Like I said? I’ll gladly buy some things, but let me make one thing.

Hey I am new and majorly confused about gearing up essentially for when I hit 25
I am going rogue and just looking to pvp and have some fun but I 0 fundamental knowledge of the gear and what I need to be doing to get gear alter on
it seems you can craft it seems you can grind, but there are sets, and idek

Best way to lvl up tailoring to 20 is?
Make stuff

I believe spam novice bracers or belt, deconstruct them if you want to save on mats
Ya decon kits save a lot of money and mats,
get urself a apprentice crafting scroll in high rarity and then start crafting
Where you getting apprentice crafting scroll
I'd assume Winstead
Not that I’m aware of
Ah, I'd made ruby dust but hadn't messed with scribe yet was just wanting to make Apprentice cloth armor which is ready once this patch gets fixed then I can go back to gathering a billion rubies 🙂

Is it possible to make medium and heavy armor for lvl 20+ now?
is there a way to increase ur chances of getting higher rarity items from gathering like mining and and lumberjacking?
or is there like a way to craft higher rarity items from lower rarity materials? or like getting a material higher rarity?
I see correct recipes in the P menu for Wolf Leather, but the rest might still be missing either the corpse or the tanned hide ingredients - so that would be the Hollowshade armor set craftable, Tropics.
Armorcraft(?) I'm not sure on it lists Armor Plating and Molds for all set pieces but I'm not sure if there's more required but they all seem to be the same recipes as well as in the leather Adept 10-19 gear.
Checking the Journeyman crafting station in Anvils they seem to list the correct ingredients for radiant armor pieces from what I can tell, I'm not the right level to use them though.
Food has a bonus somewhere for crafting quality, gathering.. I'm not sure I do know settlement buffs can do that perhaps clothing or food might have that also for quality.
whats the respawn timer on basalt and granite?
Is the food for metalworking avail rn?
has anyone seen anyword on when this processing but it going to be sorted?

What is the best weaponsmith recipe to level with?
With the change to crafting, how do I change the wood type so I can lumber mill my quality wood, more than 1 at a time?
I am tripping over my own feet here: 1 apprentice lumberjacking bag:
20x weeping willow boards (2g53s & 5h to process and 3g38s for 40x sapstop varnish)
- 20x WW wood (2s for common, 3s uncommon, 10s rare, 30s heroic)
- 10x WW timber (84s for 10x grainsealer resin)
------10x WW wood
1 bluebell bolt (cost about 1.5g in total)
- giant bluebell
- bluebell thread
- ww board
For 1 apprentice bag my costs are coming out to around 8g85s each for a common apprentice lumberjacking board. 5h of processing time, many hours of gathering.
OR
I can buy a 165% mount for 5g and run back and forth to town quickly inbetween chops.
Yea I don't see how these bags are worth it.
i dont remember the prices being that bad early P2 ( last time i played) did they raise the default prices at some point or is the tax in that town set to a gazillion %?
I am in Joeva - taxes are in line with everywhere else as far as I know - I could be wrong. I dunno - it doesn't make sense because of the processing fees and the reagents cost to even bother processing weeping willow below a heroic quality and that is IF you chop and gather all the heroic WW yourself
The cheapest Apprentice Bag (Process fee & Vendor mats) wise is the Leatherworking one I think. The Carpentry and Tailoring ones are just too pricey in fees alone
I went down the path of the carpentry one just for giggles - it is testing why not! honestly I think I would rather have the gold burning a hole in my pocket instead. These costs are insane
The grainsealer resin and sapstop varnish need to be reduced in price by 60% to make htis even worth it
I'd definitely look into Leatherworking. It's about 65 Grem Carcass and 110 Daffodil Thread to get to 10 if you pop an XP scroll and have the node crafting buff. I've got it costing around 2g 15s in fees and vendor mats if you gather the mats yourself. Can also make some deconstruction kits and get some mats back plus mats to level Arcane Engineering with the Temper Kits.
Does it give the same storage space for gathered wood?
Yeh all the bags are around the same increase.
The leatherworking on is actually better and youre saying its cheaper?
Yeh it uses a lot less mats than the Carpentry and Tailoring ones.
Makes no sense - who do we ping that is in charge of the economy - the other two take bluebolt thread instead of a bolt. What is the point of even having multiple professions making the same thing - thats stupid. Give it to one profession
They are just making this a total headache to balance for themselves
unnecessarily complex
Though you will need Apprentice Weaving & Tanning - With Tanning taking a fair few carcasses
Currently working on that myself
To be fair the process to gather varies widely between different professions, the person making 20 boards will have the expertise and mats to make the board for the bolt, the easiest and cheapest one for me as a tailor would be the thread and bolt bag.
so youre saying that the costs of getting the required artisan ranking or level is figured into the cost of these mats?
Who knows but it seems like the recipes are made with something like that in mind, I'm probably switching to tanning shortly for making myself some gear and it might even be more profitable on the market from how many people complain about hunting 😅
I wouldnt be surprised if that was the case, with how unnecessarily complex these recipes are I wouldn't be suprised if they are figuring that into it
which I am not, I am just chucking gold at it and figuring it out as I go
is there a reason that moonwashed essence is grey and can't be purchased? i can't grow onions in new aela?
It might not be active in game, or perhaps needs a settlement farming upgrade I'd ask citizen chat if anyone in mayor type knowledge might know
it's bench apprentice vegetable
not even an added recipe, so it "should" be able to be made with the standard vendor. it shows up on the vendor list, just can't purchase
Anyone know for what Saguaro Cactus is good? got 21 Legy ?
can't get chicken eggs, not recognizing nest lining
Are those things desert "trees" or fibers? I haven't done anything except river last phase and anvils this time
yes desert trees
I'm at work but I only see the tree itself on that codex site they might not have it itemized into recipes in game, is that like JM level? Ah I see apprentice gathering, eddle in anvils was Just added so I'm sure it's on the way.
yeah thought that aswell
I am ready to make the Anvils App gear next time I'm off work now they're working
Given the costs has anyone found a more optimised route from Apprentice to Journeyman Jeweler than churning out Still glade ring/earrings?
Anyone know what needs to happen to make the JM Leatherworking recipes and the Tanning JM reagents available for purchase?
is there master benches up?
A couple but it doesn't really matter
theres reagents and recipes locked behind master benches?
no like lvl 26 gear is locked behind master benches, so depending what @supple bramble is looking for..
Ohhh right ya I thought that was a bug though
my theory is its so they can test the full upgrade system while were at an artificial cap
if you qualify for GM at level 40 what are the 9 levels above 40 for - you don't get increased rolls when calculating what you get
There will be skill trees for each profession like the weapon skill trees
thanks. guess i'll continue on to max fishing then
they won’t be in for a long ass time
prob how long it will take me to max fishing - only 41.3 right now
It goes quick
farming water for JM bench recipes is locked
I'm in Anvils - I'm guessing the equivalent Hawk x Daffodil ratio similar?
People keep referring to master station; however, that was said to be only for maybe the T2/T3 JM level items. NONE of the JM lvl recipes/reagents are available for purchase.
Is there an equivalent recipe for Raven Skin? I used this one but looking now I can't seem to see one that uses just 3 raven skin and a thread
Stonechant sash if i can find the recipe. Thanks for your help
The recipe should just be from the vendor if you have a Hideworks up there I think
Will the starter towns sell it or do I need an upgraded one in a settlement?
I'm not too sure sorry. I've never really done anything in Anvils as it's much harder than Riverlands. You can try the LW Vendor in Hammer Rest and if not you might need an upgraded Hideworks in a town
I'll have a look next time I pass through - hopefully yes but expecting no 😁 (still only riverlands starter recipes available at Hammers)
Does anyone know where I can get the cow cheese recipe or what mobs drop it in Anvils?
are we not able to process more than 1 item at a time? my quantity bar is stuck at 1
dang ... that really sucks
Just gotta farm up some common mats till the fix it
no JM stations (of that type) in Shol Anvils yet that I'm aware of.
huh click to start 1 flax with 1 salvewort as fuel and get these messages
You can't buy any of the JM recipes from the Hideworks vendor
They have been listed as "unavailable" this entire phase
Some of the JM stuff in the Codex site shows as "level 30" so it might be just not in-game currently, like recipes or items. We should be at some point up to level 35 in this phase though I think right?
I am sure they will up the level cap at some point, but you shouldn't need Master Level to buy basic Journeyman recipes or reagents
Ah there was reply in one of the bugs/issues saying that was intended with some of that in line with the "world progression" requirements thing from Roshen.
So you'd need a specific upgrade built by the mayor for that specific type of item craft or processing I think in the upgrade tree.
I just updated that posting
They aren't looking at it close enough... but then people give bad information by saying Grem Leather works when I bet they never actually tested it.
So the oil for those is apparently on the main marketplace vendor but listed as unavailable on the Tanning vendor. So messed up
Ah, so it is though it sounds like just the settlement upgrades as Steven called it "World development/progress" needed?
It appears to be a one off. The rest are not available even though all of them say they are available on the Tanning and Marketplace vendors.
I think some may be intended to be regional recipes for certain leathers perhaps not sure though
Is there a guide anywhere on the most cost efficient armoursmithing recipes to craft in terms of XP/cost?
Not that I have found. Some general tips are: Use common quality for levling since rarity doesnt yield more/less exp. Higher rarity only if you hope to sell the product on the marketplace. Use the recipe that requires the least amount of resources and the cheapest ingredient from vendor. Use Commisions scroll of crafting before starting batches and commission scroll of adventure before collecting.
WTB eu server
is static rarity finally gone ? or still ingame ?
Still ingame
Anything listed as "unavailable" means that they are gated behind a bench upgrade (to either master or grandmaster) currently.
when using a processing xp scroll, you use it before starting, correct?
not before you are ready to collect the mats?
processing xp before, adventure scroll after
adventure scroll after?
if youre someone levelling off processing xp 🙂
didnt know that worked, ty
Guys, please tell me where I can find this recipe: https://ashescodex.com/db/item/Consumable_Recipe_Weaponsmithing_T3_Weapon_Sword_2H_Pyrebrand
I've just got jewelcrafting to apprentice lvl. I've lvled up and learnt all the recipes I have but the onle recipes showing at the bench in Winstead are the Mirewoven ones, nothing else. What am I missing. Workbench shows app. lvl
it might be the locational and upgrade requirements
Can anyone craft regular pouches? Not the gathering pouches? I need a 2nd
Is there anything at all that uses droppings now?
A recipe lists them for what those freehold things so if it's active I guess you could make them for exp if not for any actual use atm?
It is no longer an option at the crafting table
could i get a price check on heroic tendonite fragments please on shol
Anvils mob 20 +
What kind of journeyman food do people actually use?
making chicken eggs is bugged gg zzzz
Where do i level up Herbalism on Shol?
how do we upgrade gathering skills?
Agricultural Supply west of Avon's end or a Settlement that has the Agricultural building. I believe KT is the only that has that atm
Am I doing something wrong? I maxed out gathering for mining and lumberjacking at lvl 10 each. Lvl 10 bar filled and then locked. I went to the lumber trainer and the miner trainer and the message came up that they were apprentice. However, the XP bar is still locked and I can’t craft the apprentice level tools for gathering. I go back to the trainer and say upgrade again, nothing. The message only appeared the first time.
you can now gather until level 20, you dont necessarily need the upgraded tools, you can craft / use them now though. just gathering again should level it to 11. The lock still being on even after upgrading is a visual bug
Ok what about not being able to craft the tools?
I guess after work I can try gathering and see if it « bumps » the lock off. I have that issue with fishing commissions from time to time
is it a bug that most weapons dont require weapon molds?
for crafting tools u need to be weaponsmith or carpenter
Not craftable but you’ll easily find Stockade Sack for sale (and you can quest for one)
Do we know if clothing peices that give a bonus to gatherable quality and spoils impact rarity of gathered items? I ask this because of the static rarity issues.
Follow up, do we know how much of an impact +100 gives to quality gather?
Is Rosarium Guard stuff craftable on shol yet? Learnt the recipes but can't see it at the crafting bench
I would assume the upgrade is bugged the same as it is on EU. But would be nice for confirmation from someone on NA 🙂
Was hopeful that had been fixed
Yes but they’re pretty weak. If you want more uncommon and less common they’re good, otherwise meh.
I notice the spoils one from guild buffs gives me an extra piece frequently I’m hoping to add to that
Can someone send me a picture of the Recipe: Nightreaver Greatsword please ? Not the one in the Codex, but in game, Codex is not really accurate atm.
LF Journeyman Carpemter with Pyrebrand Longbow recipe 2000 + quality rating EU
Miraleth woodshop foreman not working for anyone else? i cant upgrade my lumbermilling to apprentice
You have 5 apprentice already or no? @minor crag
Not significant. if you have like 500QR you have 0.0017% chance for legendary instead of 0.001%
and 0.0157% for epic instead of 0.01%
Its currently much better to invest in spoils for a chance to get 6-7 materials on stati rarity nodes instead of QR
anyone able to get nest lining to work for chicken eggs yet? it was still broken yesterday so I couldn't make 3/4 of the foods i wanted
is making leather bugd?
@opaque phoenix yea that was the problem, ty. already had 3 app and 2 journey
Yes, you can only make grem and i think wolf right now. Otter and other ones don't work
you cant make wolf leather
Welp, only grem then xD
There's another you can make but I can't remember what it is, maybe bear or raven; but ye all the other ones are broken
