Yeah, need to scout the best way there 😂 because that ring is crazy good
Just bought a 2nd division Helm (recipe) in Anvil that doesn't appear on the crafting station, I guess I'm only allowed to craft the Tendonite stuff here, so 3 pieces, coz the vendor only sells Zinc-based armors.
Yeah, check if the recipe demands wilderness 😂
Most likely it’s thenissue, otherwise relog and see if it’s there
The recipe doesn't appear at all at the station after being learnt
Yeah Anvil can’t do Riverland recipes
Does anyone get to craft 2nd division armors at Anvil armorsmithing station or is it just me?
Yeah? ok.
Im probably stupid but can somebody tell me where can I find or craft tendonite?
I think it drops from basalt in anvils
ah ok that makes sense thank you
So do we know how winstead and joeva ended up with the novice crafting stations they did?
not yet, they need to level up once more
so now there is only guild master, vendor + storage
But on ptr, wasn’t some node like level 2 (that currently EU winstead is) having crafting tables? Or basic tables at least
Pretty sure I visited a node which had some novice crafting tables…
Ok well they have some crafting stations and they are different why is that?
? all nodes start with same stuff but then each mayor can build different buildings to specialize
but as of now, all nodes will have same stuff when they level up
so novice crafting stations
Yes but the novice stations are different at each location at the moment I am asking what determines that
are they? at least it used to be like that
yes
but we dont have any nodes level up, was it like that in ptr then?
there is novice station in Joeva and Winstead they are level 2
and they are different
yesterday one guy said that now all nodes can have everything in apprentice
ahh, this is in US server I guess because in EU we dont have yet
Everyone thinks its going to be like the PTR test enviroment it is not
I got it from granite in Anvild
Can you max every profession to 30 in the test on one character?
no
What's the cap and for how many
Level 2 is that step above wilderness?
2 gm, 1m, 1j, 1a
so basically in this test 4 journeyman, 1 apprentice
Can anyone answer why on US server Joeva has the crafting stations it does
Sounds strange that they have tables if they are just level 2
Or eu just bugged out 😂
What levels are journeyman and apprentice?
apprentice 10+, journeyman 20+
Bet thank you
is there an animal husbandry station in the anvils?
They are only Novice stations
And only a few and different at each location
Still odd, eu doesn’t have a single table in the nodes.
Depends how you calculate tbh, for me wilderness I stage 1, stage 2 is next,
Encampment
Yeah, then we are encampment
hmm
And I was there before I logged out and not a single table in the mode
so whos bugged us or you or is it test of player reaction
wierd because encampment has some novice stations they are just different at the two locations we have at encampment
also have mailboxes and such now there
I kinda want to make a character on eu and run over to see what you are seeing
Do that, not at the computer so can’t post picture either
But on US, have you turned in all the stuff needed also? The crates etc
Because that wasn’t done on eu winstead last I checked, we was missing crate from hunting
not all only some
Ok
Lol
Yeah we don’t have that 😂
I wonder if it’s because you have turned in some crates and finished those
who know I wish they would provide more information this is like banging your head against the wall
Yeah,
I like complexity what I don't like is lack of transparency
Like the demand on some items that need wilderness to be craftable
Yeah, the briarmoon stuff is in a node that is wilderness or higher 😂
the carcass thing is asinine
So one of my crafting recipes says i need to be in the wilderness but I can't find any weapon station
yes
Are there any weapon station outside the starting zones
4 times per drop
Winstead US
Partly if you are on US
Damn I am in EU 😔
does anyone know if Oak spawns at all in Anvils? I haven't been able to find any and can't craft without it
Anyone selling crafted starter gear yet ?
Nope, not in Anvils
so how would i find it if I started in anvils?
horsing down to lionhold would be next to impossible, and also absurd
Todays patch will include the following;
Temporary Gathering Spawn Rate Adjustment
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the economy, recipe composition and resource distribution across Verra, we’ve implemented a temporary change to gathering while we prepare for a broader rebalance in the coming weeks.
• Increased spawn rates for the following gatherables: Copper, Zinc, Flax, Weeping Willow, Braidwood, Dragon Tree, and Cacao.
• Mining now has an increased chance to yield bonus materials.
These adjustments are meant to ease material scarcity during testing and will continue to evolve as we move toward a more comprehensive economy update. Stay tuned!
Interesting.
Where can I get cooking recipes? I dont see any at the cookhouse
Source?
Really hope they include huntables in this as well
Which one
When you go to make a tool, say mining pick, it says "processed" lumber, does that mean any timber?(ash, oak, whatever)?
Yes, any processed wood and any weapon mold is what they take.
Thanks for Confirming
They all do need copper fragments, you can't use zinc or something else though
Yea, that was the part that through me off, that and when i did the weapon it said ASH like it used to, but the tool is just processed.
This is from may. Its bait.
Do keep in mind this is just for the novice tools, apprentice(level 10) you will have to fit to the recipe
One thing at a time, lol.
Alpha general, just search for it
it’s not there
Apparently deleted then 😂 should have taken an screenshot
Or just a bad troll
Hi, ist it possible zu fett Low Level from the start area to the other one?
Fett=get
It was actually an post from Steven, but tried to find it myself now
Where are the apprentice gathering trainers in the North?
Construction crates: If all the structures with red canvas are filled and only need carcasses (huntables), there will not spawn more structures? So only grinding is left to help develop the node?
It drops from Granite in the Anvils. But IMO its not worth it. Riverlands is like 10 times better in every way.
yeah just need it to craft a spear
Has anyone made it passed level 10 with gathering?
Not me. I am 4 and 5 in most gathering
I'm stuck at level 10 up North? There is no one to train up there
Is there a lumberjack cert in Anvils?
Do I really need to run all the way across the map to level this up? Also the patterns are not viable for North content
I can't find one Stormy 🙁
Me either.
last phase all you had to do was talk to the guys in the Riverlands by the OG crafting station and they would allow you to go passed level 10. Is that not still a thing?
yeah before you could get a cert, but could not get the tool you needed until the node leveled.
Not anymore, even if you can get the gathering cert, you still need to make the apprentice gathering tool
Actually, you might be able still get the cert like that yeah, but definitely no way to get the tools until the benches are up
people reporting that static rarity is back, can you guys confirm?
I don't need the tools, I just need my xp bar to not be locked at level 10 max
I'm gathering resources for no xp at this point
I think it is back, getting crazy rarity on trees often, and at least a few have been the same spot that I remembered, but did not do a proper test.
I do not get crazy rarity on trees up North either 🙁
literally have to farm 300 trees to get a legendary
Yeah, not legendary for me but tons of Heroic and Epic.
Epics are the same % as Legendary for me
literally the same %
I've come to the conclusion that if you start in the North area, you are drastically set back. None of the purchased crafting patterns are even able to be crafted up there
I hate farming trees and being locked at 10, but it seems like fastest way to help level a node for me right now.
lol I don't even know how to level a node, I'm sorry =/
Just have to be their area of influence when you do stuff, like gathering, then some xp goes to that node to help it level.
I did notice that, thank you
roger
I've killed 1,000's of mobs and have yet to get a viable crafting pattern. I only have a chest piece, legs, and boots....
PLEASE ADD BACK THE QUALITY PREVIEW FOR CRAFTING!!! it really sucks using some legendary mats to end up with a rare finished product... i'd like to see what i'm going to get before hitting "craft" buttun
There are no Grem in the North 🙁
I harvested a cluster of Epic Oak trees and then returned there later in the same day and there was the same cluster of Epic Oak. Same thing with a cluster of Heroic Ash. It’s possible I just got lucky but other people are reporting the same thing.
No Grems that I have found. Our recipies call for Hawk Skin, but I can't seem to get a hawk to stand still to get the carcass, not sure how you do that yet.
is it still 4hours respawn time?
I do not know
You just stand still after you press "F", even though the bird flies off... it will eventually die
you can't even purchase a Hawk requiring pattern up north...
I tried that, maybe I didn't stand still long enough.
yeah it takes a little while
I saw some recipies I think on the leather vendor or the default ones that we start with, don't remember.
The leather vendor sells patterns that require Grem skin. There are 0 Grem in the North
River Stalker is what he sells
it's so ridiculous they didn't look into this before turning us loose up there
I know I saw some, how about the ones we start with? That is why I started looking for Hawks to hunt.
Oh yeah the Anvils is a much rougher start than the Riverlands.
yeah I crafted all that
all the gear that I can craft is all Heroic or better. Which is 8 pieces of armor (including jewelry) and two weapons.
I have noticed. Yeesh..
I beat the game up North...
May reroll & hit up Riverlands.. head up to Anvils after levelling main.
In the North you have to ride for 7 minutes to get from one area of crafting to the other. There are no gathering trainers up North. Also, there are no purchasable usable patterns to be able to craft gear outside of very low drop rate receipts.
I have yet to loot a crafting receipt I could take advantage of as a Novice.
at least you are caveman
hi I am looking for a heavy plate complete lvl 10 you sell?
if I were in the Riverlands I would
what the price
Hi.
Im level 7 ranger and still using lvl 1 bow. So i wanted to craft a new bow for myself.
Ash tree i can find np, and i also found Daffodils.
The carpentry table is north of Samias Hope, but where do i find the Weaver for the Daffodils ? I was hoping it was close nearby carpentry table.
reroll
West of Lionhold, Avon’s End
get used to that level 1 bow
you'll get a different variant, but it will still be level 1 😛
He probably means the starting bow which is god awful
but the crafted one is doing like 80% more dmg than the one i have 😛
Yeah
Honestly optimal starting path right now is sweat of your brow -> craft two weapons -> then do whatever
Feels bad that carpentry is e ast of lionhold and weaving is west of lionhold.
Yeah, they split the Anvils crafting areas up like that too. One area east and another to the west.
the quest which gives like 3 armors pieces are also super fast and I think should probably be done
Im sorry, i dont really know what you mean, why would you craft 2 weapons 😄
melee and ranged.
im a ranger, can i also be melee ?
yep
Both stats count
if for no other reason than having the extra stats ^
Thats great advice
@beau I just looked on my character it is the Stonechant stuff under Leatherworking, feet, legs, and chest. I have them by default.
yeah, you can recreate those patterns and that's it
yeah that is all I have seen so far.
no shoulders, no helm, no belt, no wrists, no gloves
right.
How hard is it for any developer to acknowledge that some novice recipes are bugged so we can’t craft them (those that contains wilderness as an requirement)
Did they fix the Anvils having the Riverlands crafting recipes?
On the radar but not in this update
So maybe either Friday, otherwise it will be next week
Why did they remove the visuals for the mining materials that was just such a huge step backwards
It was so fun to spot that piece of copper or that Ruby shining in the distance
mentioned the same thing on the PTR
about to do an interesting test soon
do we know how this works?
sounds strong on paper
Not having all crafting stations in each of the anvil starting trade outposts seems like a bad plan to me. Pigeon holes certain crafters into either hammer rest or bonfire.
it's like in Riverlands
How can I craft verdant weapons?
can gathering tools not be crafted at higher rarity?
anyone seen rough prices for items in global? not seen many people selling stuff
How does one get green or blue quality logs when chopping down trees?
it's luck
i think i saw the question earlier, but do all the mats have to be the same rarity to make a certain rarity or can you have like a couple and still have a chance?
no, its not based on luck, there is no luck in crafting
its basically that if you have 50/50 then its either high lower tier or low higher tier
you used to see what you get but now it seems that they have hid that
thanks man
im talking about gathering though, not crafting.
at least if im not mistaken at some point if there were case that 1 piece of copper and 8 oak, they mattered some amoung
I replied demhealsdoe
and even in gathering there is quite minimum luck involved, because its based on this baseRarity system
so its not really about luck if you got legendary copper, you just decided to hit correct rock
I took a break for a while and just gotta check. Are the gathering tools still related to the bench level to make them. Cuz someone got a journey hunting mount and there's no way there's any journey bench for the bow out there
its cosmetics
how many professions should you focus on? im not super on par on how its supposed to work. should you focus on just one? one of gathering one of processing and one of crafting? or multiple of the same?
there is 5 in total that yo ucan get even over 10
No it was the untrained mount
untrained where, did you see their inventory?
but do you have a recommendation on whether you should focus on many?
not really, im gathering a bit of everything, but im probably going then one processing and one crafting
crafting seems to bloody expensive right now so I dont think you can afford even multiple
This was in general not long ago asking what it was worth. I asked how they got it captured and no answer...
Unless it's not journey anymore
are you sure that its from this phase even?
people like to troll
anyway, there shouldnt be a way to get them yet
so I would say its fake or bug
Ya that's what I was wondering was if they found a bug
Anyway I just wanted to make sure i hadn't missed something. Thanks
anyone know where gerald belford is?
anyone able to hook me up with 10 copper frags?
you get it from a boss drop lol
Good to know. I didn't take the hunting tree before so didn't know that. So technically it's not a journeyman hunting catch like the description says...
What are the requirements to craft Apprentice tools now? Winstead has a novice weapon bench up but the recipe isn't showing up, and on the PTR the recipe wasn't showing up on a Journeyman bench either...
Ya that I knew I just didn't understand how they captured it without a journey bow available. Thanks for the clarification 😁
so i just but a rare mat and a common mat and got a uncommon piece of gear
yup
so thats what u meant earlier
so think about it like this that common is 1, rare is 3, then being common needs to between 1-2, uncommon 2-3, rare 3-4 etc, so now that you have 1+3 / 2 = 2, so its uncommon, not sure if it made sense :)
anyway, its not about luck just thresholds and materials are giving certain value based on the rarity
so it pretty much takes the avg
yep, and I think someone check that materials are equal of "power", so if components are 1 oak and 8 copper, those 1 and 8 matter equally, so its better to put more rare to 1 than 8
but im not totally sure about the last one, I havent tested myself that
What are the main supporting profs for cooking? Like what would you Gm along with cooking?
Hail. Does anyone know where "Tendonite" can be mined? I'm at a loss. TY
I think it's a byproduct of mining, granite and or basalt in the anvils area... Thats what i was told yesterday
Wilderness is 0
So does crafting cost you silver instead of you making something from it
wheres the arcane engineering station near Khal Thorum?
depends on what your making but, especially early on, yes
anyone know where to get hunting license in anvils?
i dont understand how to start hunting stuff
Its the most oddball artisan skill in game
You have a chance to see animals with a white cross hair above their name. This means you can interact (f) with them, and then you will do a 'hunt' and get a carcass
its a placeholder thats been in since day 1
ive tried that but it never does anything
Levels 1-10 are actual hell for hunting. You can only hunt grims, spiders, hawks, and ravens
i have a crude hunting bow
Joeva has the following Novice Stations:
Arcane Engineering
Alchemy
Scribing
Tailoring
Weaving
Winstead has the following Novice Stations:
Metalworking
Weaponsmithing
Armoursmithing
Leatherworking
Im in anvils right now, but riverlands has pretty well known spots for it
anvils
any time you see a hawk/raven/grim/spider, theres a chance for a huntable version. Its like 10% chance each spawn. You will see people regularly camping them to kill and force respawns
its not a fun artisan skill
not until later on
ill go look some more and try
man, crafting starting gear is gonna be a real adventure
Have they talked about fixing spear crafting or think that gets fixed with the first node getting to t3?
Guys i need some help, I found a recipe for a cloak and i have the materials but i don't know where to craft it ?
It says "requires Wilderness" i dont understand where to craft it
Bug, check the news channel for updated list of known issues, hopefully they can fix this within an timely manner so we actually can craft highest tier of novice gear (each rank has 3 tiers within them).
oh so it is a bug not just me not understanding lol ?
Nope we are several that have tried to figure it out.. but was concluded it must been bugged
Level 0 node more or less I think
When the game starts out, the node/settlement is 0
I think if the recipe has tag: riverlands it would have worked
ohhh ok so the tag is wrong, Thas crazy people crafting heroic weaps and i cant even craft a simple cloak
mornings.
crafting my first bow. I put in green daffodil thread and green ash timber. But the outcome show only a white bow?
Is that on purpose or did i miss something? (because it actually took a few hours gathering and crafting those green quality materials)
They are crafting novice with heroic materials,
The preview window has bugged out again, it should show the outcome, use ashescodex crafting to see outcome of mix and matching different color
Is the codex up to date
Should be yes
Anyone know why it's saying I don't have sufficient resources to craft these? I have the mats.. Have the silver.. Is it because I'm mixing rarity on the fragments?
nah mixing rarity should be fine, no idea
i've seen people saying those 2nd sword shoulders are bugged
i think they are missing the slot for the vendor item in the UI right?
Yeah, it appears so. I even purchased the Metal Gauges: Shoulders x2 and it's still saying I'm missing resources.
Oh well. Bug report it is.
The Anvils version works fine.
yes
Need i crafting Station or you can simple craft it?
Anything crafted requires its station, some recipes can only be crafted in certain areas (requirement: Riverlands etc)
Is there an Arcane Engineering station in the Anvils or just the one down in Riverlands at the tower?
there is one right to the mountain of the anvils starting location
Ah, opposite Bonfire at the metalworking Trades area?
a nice novice craft
should probably be "grem skin", make a bug report
wilderness on the crafts looks like a place for crafting, but i can't understand where is wilderness.... require Riverlands ok, require Tabletop mountain ok, require wilderness... is it jundark? desert? turquoise sea?
Bugged currently, its node level 0 which we have already, I think it’s missing an label!
so we cant craft with wilderness requirement?
I'm being told static nodes are back. Can anyone confirm?
my going theory is clusters are acting as static nodes but the rest are functioning normally. They are incestigating though
That's what I thought. Sad, again. I'll check back in a few months when they get their act together, hopefully
anyone know where to level lumberjacking certification to apprentice in the anvils?
hello guys, where can I craft this type of item ?
Requires : Wilderness
I have to wait node or smth ?
This recipe cannot be crafted anywhere? Nor the neutral weaponsmith nor Winstead weaponsmith
probably a recipe drop from somewhere
I have the recipe
o sorry i read it wrong xDDD
It just doesn't show up on the crafting tables
hmm bugged i guess? sorry couldnt help you :(
yeah its probably a bugg i've seen other people talk about "wilderness" recipes
it sucks healing 50 per spell
the initiate scepter (copper) somehow is for lvl 20 and this is the default scepter i've been playing with lvl 11 btw
rip. i did the road to joeva quest and got the magic spear. i think it gave around 110magic power
i like 1 handed weapons
cuz you can use focus
and i waanted to try the axe skill tree too
i guess they will fix it eventually
o nice focus :D
really easy to craft
yeah then the spear is anyways weak af
lol bruh
1h spears when?
i was using also wand but got this recipe which is nice
lol your names are almost the same
Why I have Recipe from verdant weapons and they dont appear on the npc to craft?
If a piece of armor has an item level associated with it does that mean the player must be that level to wear it?
Gear level requirements are every 10 level
How do you know what the gears requirements are
The grade on top right tells you. Initiate is no req, Adept is lvl 10, Radiant is lvl 20.
Has anyone made a statement about static resource rarity?
what statement you are expecting?
Intent, policy, path forward
at least i havent seen any and I think this baseRarity + gatheringLuck formula is total garbage
in this current format the gatheringLuck is useless
Man, I hope artisan skill trees get added soon. They've made crafting extra hard so that skill trees can reduce some of the burden, then didn't add the skull trees
also the actual formula coding looks so amateur-like
Roshen said they are investigating it
See? Appreciate that
nice
i'll do you one better
#alpha-two-general message
I was so glad too, was starting to think that what we have now is intended
+rarity is not the best stat already. If they go back to static rarity it will impact both the servers.
Anyone know the initial light armor for mages crafted from tailoring the name of the set?
anyone know where to level lumberjacking certification to apprentice in the anvils?
Limestone nodes around bonfire. Could an apprentice miner clear them?
@leaden zinc where did you level your certifcation to apprentice?
I didn't which is why I was asking for an apprentice miner
Limestone is journeyman, you are fucked
Slate is apprentice, yes. But you need apprentice workbenches up to make the tool.
You need both apprentice tier tool and apprentice tier certification.
How could crafting still be so hosed after all this time
wtb 2x verdant oath emblem eu ;z
dam making timber gone expensive needing sandpaper for each log not logged on for while phase 2 need lots of logs to lvl up 12 timber for 1 bow must be very bad at woodwork that a lot of waste wood for 1 bow
There is no way they are giving us apprentice crafting, the level 0 tier 3 mats are entirely to much, if they give us Apprentice crafting everyone will just skip it
No apprentice crafting until town otherwise the level 0 tier 3 makes zero sense
any1 knows where I can craft verdant gear?
Any active crafting tables in the Anvils nodes yet?
With the addition of batch Animal Training. Will all of the output of the batch be the same (mount/BoB) or can the output be mixed?
Hiyo, out of curiousity is the verdant oath spear one of the recipes that we already know? Tried looking on codex and it doesn't have the recipe drop information, so wanted to check in case it was. Or is the drop info not on the codex because it's new
No crafting changes today 🫣
Guess it’s gonna be PoE 2 for the weekend instead and wait til crafting changes arrives, also mobs drops equipment again.
Well... killing crafters worth didn't take long.
No shock, crafters get screwed over again
Spent 1G and a few hours to craft a sword <<< grind mobs for a bit and get gear for free
At the very least they need to release mob drop only gear that is generally 30% worse than crafted gear
Yeah, or just make so drops can only be white,
Having higher crafting costs for lvl 10 is a bit understandable, but I have about 1G to my name at lvl 9 and I’ve solely only been gathering and doing commissions. I completely skipped bothering crafting and lvl 0 gear cause it would never be obtainable other than maybe 2 pieces
rip craft again
increase recipe drop rates and remove all gear drops. Thoughts?
Make mobs drop reagents
Increasing drop rates of gear means we are going to go farm mobs for gear. You want this game to be economy driven? then stop shooting crafters (the drivers of the econmy!) in the foot. No one buys from them in the quantity they should because if we spend a couple hours fighting mobs we'll get it for free!
Wake up intrepid
Make mobs drop raw and processed mats too, so all artisans suffer
is material rarity still set on resource node spawn?
My guild and I were making a plan to go get recipes and crafting materials to make gear for our guild.. we were going to work together on it and that kind of co-operation and planing had me really excited about it. You know what were gonna do now!? .... kill mobs.
Such a bad bad bad decision.
wym crafting is still better
sure, but it can wait until 25 now
disagree but you do you
you gonna go waste your time getting materials to make crafted gear, someone else spends the same amount of time grinding levels and getting gear, ok, your level 15 with decent gear, they are 25 and ready to start making higher tier "end game" gear.
passible gear is enough to level and if mobs are going to drop it, thats what the majority of people will use.
we both still have to level crafting even if they're 25
that doesn't change the trivialization of all that in between crafted gear
and you can farm mobs endlessly hoping for a random drop of a piece you can use or you can craft it at a better grade easier
you're farming rng drops for gray gear im crafting exactly what i need epic/legendary
or... mobs dont drop gear, only recipes or specific materials for the gear.. now people are buying crap off the market
I agree, and being a mainly artisan player i want a player driven economy. I will say though, its been turned up, we dont actually know how much its been turned up yet
yep, you have fun in your 0 teir epics that don't matter cause everyone else is 10-15 levels higher than you with passible gear and ready to start making "end game" top teir while you still have hours of leveling to do
have fun grinding for hours to get 2 pieces you can actually use 🙂
2 birds one stone buddy, i can level while getting those drops
omg you are missing the point
it has trivialized all gear prior to 25.
If you cant get gear from mobs where do you get it? the crafters! even if its white!
This helps the crafters fund themselves and drives the econmy
To be clear the real problem isn't just gear being available, it's the fact that crafters now have no chance of selling their gear at cost, making leveling crafting hellish
this
but his problem is getting rly worse with gear drops beign more eccesible
hi, can someone explain to me why i cant see the recipe in the workstation in a wilderness settlement pls ? it's Adept grade
got it i'm not apprentice yet
No the work station is not
Need town lvl 3 and station to build to craft and also ur level to allow u
Thanks for the details!
material costs for a 1h sword I just picked up
FEEDBACK - if we can't craft T2 due to lack of benches, but you already put T2 drops in the game, FUCK YOU. You just made all of T1 irrelevant. Welcome back to zerg mob poi grinders >> everyone else, and you know, fuck crafters.
How about waiting till crafters can make T2 before you put those drops in the game.
you had ONE chance, to actually test out T1 crafting, and you already blew it. so yeah, fuck a whole lot of this direction
Bro what? T1 crafts are good if u craft them high rarity blame the no loops on why u can’t sell ur shit gear there needs to be a gear sink for crafting to actually be viable. There isn’t any
just dropped off a goblin for a guildy. we've been farming materials to make ~500 power 2-handers for guildies
Can u show it Lego now with codex
That's the T2 drop, 1k power at common. Vs rare crafted T1 ~500 power.
we need these apprentice tables up when people reach lvl 10 not 25
THAT IS THE T2 drop
Oh my bad we have different definitions to me 0-10 gear is t-0 because unless it’s a major bis item it’s just leveling gear crafting doesn’t really start till 10-20 gear for me which I consider t—1 but I get ur frustration
would be the T1 drop
Lvl 10+ gear dropping when there's no apprentice benches to make anything, let alone comparable, leaves crafting completely behind
Yah but ur not farming mats for t-0 weapons that would be a waste of time the armor thou is where it matters
Start leveling up the nodes brotha
U can also contribute to that go grind
are we talking about the same game?
Do u not know how to level up a node?
there's no purchased gear, and if you want anything, you have to craft it to start.
so, if you want to use better than a rusty, so that you can kill mobs and do quests to level a node, you need gear
i've been here since A1
So level up the node to get better work benches I’m confused
you are confused
How are people already level 25 if u can’t kill mobs without gear?
so, in order to get apprentice benches you need a town to lvl 3 at least, and then a mayor, and then gold, and then donations, and then materials
So get it on it my friend
I know a guy from p2 who did 70 percent of the node leveling and mat grinding by himself
have you ever played a game and done anything other than jumped to max level before engaging in ARTISAN work, like the channel we're in right now?
Yah I was NUMba 1 crafter for my guild
So I’m confused
then, why is your answer "don't worry about crafting until the node is up"
have you ever done both at the same time? or for you does crafting only exist when you're level cap?
skip all the lower tiers, power up to cap, then play
Bc u need to level up the node to access decent workbenches to craft gear
but, here me out, what if (big what if), what if crafting was rewarding every tier and step of the way?
It’s just about time management who wants to farm t-0 mats when u can drop 10 and even if u couldn’t it would be better to just start farming t-1 matsbut then crafters can make bank with t-1 crafts in high rarity do u not know how the loop works
T-0 crafts are basically meant to be filler to bis 20 pieces atleast that’s current meta
yeah, we're in different books, let alone nowhere near the same page. I want crafting to be rewarding every tier, rather than skipping everything up till the game is in its end stages with towns at max and players at max
how it's been is "don't bother crafting till you're cap, then cash in"
That requires massive reworks and people just don’t play the game like that why should I wait 90 hours while I get the mats to craft my t-1 bow before I hit 25 like no that makes no sense
Have a good day thou we just play differently
whats the new spawn timer for nodes after the changes?
where can i find flax?
weilderness ☺️
-
the starting crafting quest needs to be longer and have you gather t0 mats and make valuable t0 gear
-
Remove regrants and lower crafting costs/mats for t0 gear
-
Change all mob drops to drop only random common gear that has lower stats by at least 25% and have the stats be randomized
-
Remove static rarity that for no reason sounds like came back into the alpha
-
If you are worried people would spam t0 mats for xp, just reduce the xp once you hit lvl 10, then remove it on lvl 20
how do you use crafting stations? i have 2 weathered oak and a quest to refine it.. when i go to the saw i have 2 in my inventory but the crafting station says i have none.. do i have to manually move the wood somewhere?
What is everyone doing to make money to afford crafting costs? Seems like I have to dump everything ive got to make like 1 or 2 things after processing and final crafting.
ANOTHER DAY GOES BY AND THE ANVILS VENDORS ARE STILL SELLING THE RIVERLANDS RECIPES SO ANVILS PLAYERS CANNOT BUY RECIPES THAT INCLUDE THE CORRECT MATERIALS
FFS Intrepid 🤦♂️
Apprentice recipies are RIDICULOUS
the material costs, alone, for a common piece is close to 3g or more in JUST processing fees.
100 ingots?? Which requires 200 shards to be processed? Like wtf are these numbers
Apprentice weapons will need to sell for 10g+ for just common
https://discord.com/channels/256164085366915072/1411101370718879754 - Please react to this bug thread so they actually pay attention to fixing the Anvils crafting vendor recipes so they are craftable with resources available in the Anvils 🙏
Early game crafting what level mats are you using for these? I made some white jewellery last night but seeing as crafting seems to be the only way forward at this point is it greens or blues for weapons and tools? TIA
are there novice recipes for things like gloves/belt etc? I can only find them for legs boots and chest
Which novice stations does Miraleth have at encampment level? Winstead is Forge, weaponsmith, armorsmith and leatherworking in case anyone is wondering
Joeva and Miraleth has the following Novice Stations:
Arcane Engineering
Alchemy
Scribing
Tailoring
Weaving
Winstead has the following Novice Stations:
Metalworking
Weaponsmithing
Armoursmithing
Leatherworking
copied from elsewhere as I'm up North in what looks like remaining undeveloped for a while
TY!
Public Service Announcement:
Metalworking [Sand]
- You can turn granite/basalt/volcanic rock, into sand + a chance of either Copper/Zinc/Tendronite
- It gives equal amount and rarity as starting resource
yOOOOOOO
So stop fretting about "where is tendronite??" and start crafting!
But first start grinding gold for reagents!
and, now, you can feel bad for all that heroic granite you vendored
Dead afterwards too unless you have a guild funneling you hundreds of legendary mats. Green and blue 20+ gear is already plentiful enough that mob grinders are selling it
you don''t and thats generally the problem
for when you get to level 30+ and want very specific stats
I just made 50 flax, but it won't let me use that to make linen thread????
I bought seeds and water and used the farming station to make "flax" but it wont let me use that "flax" to make linen thread
Yeah the farming flax is different from the herbalism flax 😓
anyone knows where i can tame monsters in anvils area?
how on earth are we supposed to know that?
I heard something about "Wilderness" tagged crafts being fixed, but couldn't do the flowmarked ring at the spot north of samia's. Is that just, not fixed? Or its fixed, but this ring in particular up at anvils region?
It wouldn't be so bad if I would get something other than zinc or just sand
🤷♂️ i didnt know either until i tried it
I usually just get copper or zinc, and most of the time it's just plain ole sand lol
so what do i do with the 50 flax i made? I dumped almost all the coin i had into making a large batch
did you find out what to do for money? ugh this is nuts
Unfortunately nothing, best ive found is killing mobs at your exact level
and just selling the glint? this is awful imo to being the goto to make money early on.. they need to fix this
I agree, I would prefer to be saving my glint for commodities
is crafting localized? for example, I cant craft stillglade in Anvils?
I can in the Riverlands, but there are recipes I can't craft here either
The fact that the only starter recipes you can buy in anvils for armor can’t be crafted in anvils is dumb.
don't worry, no one will buy any of that gear anyway
I get the impression that the team that is developing the artisan system don't do crafting when they play MMOs. And the team they have testing on the PTR probably don't craft much either.
where can we get roughrime, anvils?
Yes
thanks, just wanted to confirm
i was 99% sure but someone just said it didn't drop there
They lied

anyone know whats up with Crafting the Brooksteel spear? doesn't seem to appear in the weapon smithing station outside lion hold
Just looked at a guide to upgrade the first set of tools, it seems insane materials needed for a first upgrade.. wth
I can craft the Riverstalker cloak but can't craft the Tithebrook cloak. Anyone know where I can find a wilderness crafting station??
Anybody know the actual chances of getting mats out of rock sand? Is it worth it?
Bugged, check the requires tag.
And Cooking? Also in An economic settlement ?
was there cooking? i either didnt see it or i was blind
Dang it people found out... We've been buying legendary stones for dirt cheap and making them into sand. Sorry for gatekeeping this haha
you can, you need to go to the correct NPC
Gotta do em 1 by 1 to get best processing chance
Proc**
Yeah... Tho to save time we do it in batches of 10 or smthing
is ther a bug related to flax from farming? its different compared to harvested
like, what is this
you used to get same flax, and now it seems that this has no recipes
Have you tried it?
yes
What it give you
its different and you cannot use it as flax
Bug report it I guess
Hmm
Ya maybe it was supposed to be removed
so it was more expensive but you were able to get flax at least
now it was only seed + water and you get this weird flax you cannot use for anything
havent seen anyone talk about this on this channel, i thought many would have noticed
Like all the recipes in game that are unlearnable because we know them already that are still dropping off mobs
I haven't done any farming yet
I dont know what has happened but some things were working better in phase1, a year ago
its like that have upgraded old build which has some bugs from before alpha2
They're constantly changing stuff sometimes when you change one thing it breaks other things
It's a process
yeah I do know that, im in software development myself
👍
but this is not about breaking something, its like introducing same bug which was already fixed once
Not just code also concept's
Ya it's odd
I cant imagine that some of these whings would have been in phase 2.5, so it feels that that this 3 has been a merge from longer and older build which then caused these
Maybe they wanted to remove the droppings from the recipe and broke it
that wouldnt make any sense when you have totally new item with art and everything
I do understand if they wanted to remove it totally, but they broke also cotton
True maybe it was the new guy who doesn't know what flax is 😂
Some intern
but farming is then relegated a lot when flax nor cotton works
just wanted to make shirts but I guess not
Can anyone explain how to make an early game Greatsword with Magic Power on it my mate cant see it in crafting?
sure, im out of game but wait a sec
this is the recipe you are looking for from weaponsmither for greatsword
Do you have to buy it from a vendor?
no, you cannot, you need to craft it with weaponsmith workbench
He said he didnt see it do you start with it by default?
it should be there, at least i have crafted it, i dont remember buying recipe for it
Okay Ill run over and check if I have it then thanks
you can just press P
dont need to run any where to see your all learned recipes
Anyone found a merchant selling the new emberwake light armor recites?
The artisan system without a commercial system in place to speed up the transfer of materials between crafters, is not good. It slows down artisan progress too much, and makes the game frustrating and tedious. Not having an auction house for finished crafted goods is fine, but to build a crafting system that requires so many different materials and artisan skills to combine, and not have a system in place to facilitate the transfer of goods, that is not sensible. Needs a vendor at every processor where gatherers can sell their unprocessed/processed materials to the facility, and crafters/processors can buy unprocessed/processed materials from the facility, with the prices set by the quantity of the good in stock at that facility. Everyone can then just do their artisan skill if they manage the buying and selling.
The artisan system needs to be sped up considerably and this is a quick and easy way to do it. It will also create feedback for supply and demand for artisans, it will be more apparent when there is a glut/shortage of a particular artisan profession. Limiting the planned marketing functionality to finished goods is sensible. If I want to fill my car with gas, I don't start by buying oil, then finding a refinery etc.
Are we allowed to wear two of the same ring? In this case, Cindertouched craftable? Thnx.
I know you can double up rings
does anyone have a list of what benches are at the starting lvl of each node ?
They really need to make crafts simple. It needs to be a linear progression from T0 to T5. There is no world where we should be needing like 80% of the professions and 50+ items at T2. T5 should honestly have half the amount of items we currently need for T2
They want a late medieval crafting system, with stone age economics and trading.
I see where you’re coming from, but that approach would actually undermine the whole point of the artisan system.
The friction you’re calling “frustrating and tedious” is by design—it’s what forces players to interact, specialize, and build networks. If materials could simply be offloaded and purchased at a processor NPC, it would kill the interdependency that makes an artisan system meaningful. You’d end up with solo play disguised as crafting, which is basically what other MMOs already offer.
The analogy with buying gas doesn’t really work here. This isn’t supposed to be a modern industrial supply chain—it’s a medieval fantasy world where artisans and merchants are the infrastructure. If I want fuel for my caravan, I’m not going to a Shell gas station, I’m going to talk to the gatherers and traders who actually make that fuel possible. That’s where the game’s economy lives.
Yes, it might feel slower compared to NPC convenience, but that slowness creates scarcity, demand, and ultimately value. The very frustration you mention is what makes crafted goods and trade routes feel rewarding in the first place.
If you shortcut that, the artisan system stops being a system, and just becomes another vendor menu.
Honestly the more I play and figure things out with crafting, the more everyone complaining just needs to explore their options with crafting. They have actually done really well if you use everything avaliable to you.
"It would kill the interdependency that makes an artisan system meaningful." No, it doesn't. The interdependency still exists. What it does do is speed up and facilitate the interdependency. No one enjoys spamming mats on global all day. if you think people enjoy that, let a player play the vendor buying and selling. Let them stand in front of a warehouse, for hours. If you consolidate all that in one person, it is immediately clear that no one would do it.
Where in anvile would I got to make a spell book??
You won't have to spam mats in global if you dont want to once each nodes market goes up, we are only what like 3 days in? I think a little global trading being what works till marketplace goes up isnt bad at all. For really expensive high demand stuff people will sell that over global regardless.
“Saying that a vendor system would ‘kill interdependency’ is a misconception. Interdependency doesn’t vanish just because the exchange is streamlined — it simply becomes more functional. Players would still need gatherers, processors, and crafters; the cycle doesn’t break. What changes is that you remove the tedious middle-man spam on global chat that nobody enjoys.
If you believe people like standing around for hours spamming mats, then let’s be honest: put one person in charge of acting as a ‘player vendor’ at a warehouse, forced to buy and sell endlessly. The moment you consolidate the entire system into a single person, it’s crystal clear how miserable and unsustainable that would be.
A proper vendor system doesn’t destroy interdependency — it enhances it by making cooperation and specialization visible and manageable. The artisan system should encourage players to create, not punish them with tedium disguised as ‘meaningful gameplay’.”**
Unfortunately this is putting the cart before the horse. A vibrant economy depends on an efficient transfer of goods. They are trying to put in an "End-state artisan system" with a non existent economy. If you want to build it up, beginning recipes should not have the interdependence and just be vertical, then branch/grow into it with the economy. This is kind of a common problem with this project, they are a little too hung up on player experience and not cognizant of basic economics or human nature.
I'm also not sure we want a real-life "medieval simulator". There were not many happy people in medieval times even if you take out the disease and starving, life was boring and tedious. Two words that are not normally associated with a successful game. Even with a fully functional late medieval economy, the vast majority of people were brutally poor, despite working hard for long hours. I think we have successfully recreated that. The problem now is how to not recreate that!
- How to make the lives of the common artisans worth living.
- How to make the noble warrior class give a crap about the common artisan class, on which they depend for producing everything.
Neither of these were possible irl with a real economic system and human nature, anywhere in the world ever. Player experiences just endorse this, the vast majority of artisans are saying life isn't worth living, and the noble warriors want gear to drop so that they can eliminate the artisans entirely and not be dependent on them.
how does one make the construction supplies to help a city? cant find it at the carpenter
Anyone find a wilderness crafting place for verdant weapons yet?
how are people making gold i find it extremely hard to make the gold to process the materials lol
neat part. jpg
In anvils it's tucked behind the farmer for some reason
It's a crate supply merchant
or whatever they're called
oooh its a merchant, it shows up in P under carpentry
that explains alot ^^ thanks
It's not a person it's a crafting station, sorry i'm new
I only know where the one in anvils is
Regional Magic Powder Pretty Please. Daffodils are needed for everything now, including magic powder which 90% of the combines rely on, as well as Scribing.
In order to craft for example a green spellbook which needs 12 oak and 6 daffodil, what rarety the mats have to be and how many of them? (all 12 oak and 6 daffodil need to be blue or 12 blue and 6 green are enough?). how that works?
any rarity to make it, but higher rarity = higher result
All green = green. All blue = blue. Half blue half green = green but stats halfway between green and blue.
Formula is a range between all common grade = common craft, let's say 0 gear score. and all legendary mats = legendary craft, let's say 100 gear score. Everything in between that adds gear score to reach thresholds. higher rarity = higher score
so if you have all heroic -1, it'll be rare, but it'll be a high rare
How are you making money to process
fishing
farming glint
farming resources and selling them
donations from guildies
I have a question. Is the Flax from Farming supposed to be interchangeable with the Flax from Herbalism? My guess is no because the icon is different and I can't seem to get Flax(from farming) to work as an ingredient to recipes needing Flax.
Oh so get use to being broke till i can make something someone wants to buy
yeah, just gotta wait until there are journeyman benches available so you have a chance at making stuff that people want to buy, after you've spent the gold to get to level 20 i na crafting skill of course
Thanks confirms it'll be worth it in the long run.
np, I'
I'm complaining about crafting but I'm still making myself a level 0 cloth set for fun
I made 10 starter wands tried to shout them out for 10 s never sold one
yeah, I've done several hours of mob grinding, so now I can afford to make myself shoulder pads
I have successfully made, a spellbook. I was lvl 7 at the time. Cost all my money. Didn't take too long though.
I'm trying to craft the BrookSteel Spear but it doesn't look like it shows up in the crafting stations at all but it says i have the recipe. Am i missing something?
few recipes are like it sadly
i think the benches are bugged
dang it. alright thanks
I have these recipes for example and although they are lvl 0 i cant craft them any where
even tried the town weaponsmith
tried the one in the wilderness too
Confirmed bugged, should be fixed in upcoming patches
i havent been able to play yet this phase anyone have any notes on the rates of xp for 1 handed vs 2 handed weapons for weaponsmithing?
mostly looking for the number of xp a common of each would give out
i want to do some calcs for progression speed and efficient leveling
do we have a list somewhere/ anyone know how many max unique items are used in a craft from vendor or a craft at one time?
It is somewhere between many shitloads and a lot of craptons!
Those aren’t numbers silly goose
weve all played mmorpg's since at least 2004 and this crafting system is so old school and not in a good way. like its ur 2nd life or u stay home on a pc all day for work and have 3 monitors to make crafting meaningful. the back and forth between storage, workshops scattered around to make u travel to make this game appear alive makes me want to do go red and kill everyone outside the workshops at max lvl until theyre moved around or theres a storage system at the workshops. like a mini caravan game!
why gather at low lvls when i can gank material toteing n00bs at max tbh
Anyone know where to level up your gathering certifications in the Anvil? Level 10 lumbering and i cant seem to find the person to talk to to upgrade to apprentice
Spent all my silver and hours of my time to make blue shoes that are barely better than the stuff you spawn with. Still the best recipe I've found.
anyone know wwhere i can upgrade my mining cert in anvil?
Anyone know where fishing station is in riverlands?
if i remember correctlyt there should be one at the cookinghouse icon in winstead node
in the southern part? theres only a cook vendor and cook station.
i also want to know this...
Refining common materials seems incredibly not worth it to me, what's the minimum quality you guys bother to refine?
Anyone know where to farm tithebrook emblems?
i was gettin them from gobblins at the start of Riverland on the north side between the 2 starter towns
how do i get this armor?!
TY
theres a mission about cleanin up gobblin trash and i was getting them while doing that
Okay, that's where I've been farming.. just not getting tithebrooks. I'll keep at it. Thanks!
Artisan shirt still require Grem skin in Anvil?
Alright, so lets assume I am not smarter than a fith grader, and I have consulted google and my peers in game chat for assistance. Would anyone be able to send me a screenshot of the map, with a red dot, telling me exactly where to find the lumberworking vendor that i can buy the sanding supplies from please?
@tight pelican have you got answer yet?
so a bunch of grey recipes are unlocked by default is that right? all the way to max? and the green and blue recipes must be acquired?
I have not!
Ok im on my way home I'll help u out as soon. As get in about 25 min. Ur on na? And what area you in so I can help better
Just sharing with the class since I'm not sure if anyone else has tested it yet - but popping processing xp scrolls BEFORE you process (not when you click complete) will award the bonus xp regardless of whether the scroll is still active when completing and sending to inventory
@tight pelican you on na server? And what area you in
@abstract whale thank you good sir! Was not aware
Any idea where I can craft an item needing wilderness for the recipe.
@atomic vortex I think I might know but I need to get home to double check dont want to give you bad info
Shol (US) and I have characters in both starter areas and the general area. Trying to test out all portions of the crafting system to see what I like the best. 🙂
@tight pelican ok give me roughly 15 min n I should be home and I can help. Is this ur ign?
My ign is "Frederick"
have to craft at player city if you open ur map town with tree icons are wilderness lvl but im sure u can craft at a higher stage aswell
thanks
GREM
What do you guys think about the extra ingredient for processing? I think it would be better to make the processing itself a little bit more expensive (20% maybe?) and take out of the equation the extra ingredient
It only makes you spend more time in an already time consuming task
I guess they want to burn gold with this but it just too much imo
Is there really no way to get mining cert in Anvil area? You have to run to riverlands?
Can you craft the Verdant Oath stuff yet or does it require a certain station yet? Shol server
I do wish that quality levels were like twice as good
anyone know where woodshop foreman is in anvils?
we have a few wood related mpcs at Bonfire Trades outpost, but woodshop foreman might be the guy who hangs out in settlement dedicated woodshop building, in which case you are out of luck
yea was trying to go up a certificate
but outpost doesnt have it sadly
Where does one acquire crowbars?
had a pretty enjoyable time making a greatsword recently, after mob grinding for like 2 hours and getting a cloak and quite a chunk of silver for it I crafted some Timber and made the long walk over to Hammer Rest, then I bought tendonite off of people with my mob grinding money
they were back in the day
not sure why they made quality crafting so meaningless now
Especially on low levels

How do i process fish that I catch?
Is it the same for both servers?
miraleth matches on EU, id assume the node type defines the benches available
at lvl 2
What are people doing with basic tier basalt and granite everything is too expensive to simply just process it
I keep all mats above heroic and sell as crafting expensive just processing let alone crafting bar stack of wood furnace. Still working out the fine tuning
yep
exactly
Man dropping 90% of all materials hurts
I had to step away for my infant daughter and came back dead and my shit looted
had a whole stack of epic granite and epic rubies
4 full stacks of oak
Treasure maps working ?
lol gathering quest for 20 wheeping willow no chance never got that many in months in phase 2
oooh they made good changes then
theyre everywhere because noone can gather them.. wouldnt count anything yet
Log out instead of going afk while pvp flagged. Problem solved.
PvE mob killed me I think
is anyone crafting adept weapons yet or is it tied to level 3 nodes?
just go any elite poi lvl 11-19 and farm mobs, artisans are failed again this patch, specially after they make a move with increased drops.
well i'm farming HH for about 5 hours and zero drops so..
Try Oak. Saw 3 in an hour to 90 min
This isn't good 0-9 gear irrelevant already willow dropping within 4 hours or maybe before
I’m still rocking the starting bow at lvl 11 lol
What they set out to do or so they say the set out to do they failed
No gear drops from combat in a mmo isn't viable. They never should have gone down that path to begin with. Would kill their game.
make early level crafting easier is what I am saying
They should yeah
Crafters have to be able to keep up with the gear progression of try hard leveling
Yes, they should speed up early node advancement, drastically expand bank stack storage, add storage at lowest node level, make crafting level 10 tools easily accessible without having to circumnavigate the globe, consolidate the crafting static starter locations and replicate them in different zones to make them more accessible to negate so much of the early time sink.
its viable if crafting will be on time with lvling
for example if level 2 cities have beeen with all apprientice benches, we could already ahve lvl 10 crafted gear
There is no way to incentivize people to want to put effort into getting 0-9 level gear, no matter how you slice it. It is a waste of resources in the long run. The only way would be to gate keep levels and nobody is going to want to do that.
I wish they wanted to but they wont
i actually would craft t0.2 gear this season, but there were no chance to do it
verdant oath and thithebrook leather are pretty strong even on lvl 10
BUT GUESS WHAT? YOU CANT CRAFT IT NOW EVEN ITS ANOVICE
and i knwo many otheres who will craft that shit
you can craft it now but you will also be able to craft Apprentice gear in a few days....so why do it
No, you don't take my meaning. Most mmo players are combat enjoyers that want loot. If Intrepid ruins their gaming experience and makes it a boring slog without loot, they won't play ie. Dead game. Some of the design feedback people provide isn't based on macro game health comprehension. Intrepid has to filter a lot of feedback out that would cripple or destroy their player population.
no you cant? last i checked 1 day ago there were no option to craft it on novice benches
we have apprentice stations on US
on lvl 3 town?
Winstead is Rank 3 village
let me dm you because of no spam here
the only thing holding us back is people leveling crafting for gathering tools and that will happen today for sure
and by the time we have level 3 nodes, we will just not craft it anymore cuz adept stuff is better
I really think the Wilderness thing is not intended to be gated by lvl 3 settlment buildings but well...
yea thats my point too, novice gear shouldnt be gated by city lvl,
its alreayd gated by obtaining recourses (you need like 50 wolves and ravens for full leather set)
Since crafting tools needs carpentry and weaponsmiting, do you need to be apprentice in those professions to craft the tools or do you need apprentice in the profession of the tool you want to craft or both?
You need apprentice in Carp/Weapon to craft the respective tool
Anyone selling cheap common leveling gear ?
If people are levelling crafting like crazy why aren't they selling all the grey shit they make? Are they just vendoring it or what?
I sell most of my stuff since to vendor. Crafted gear doesn’t stack so well.
isn't the ability to craft apprentice tools bugged atm ?
The weaponsmithing table in Winstead only has the recipes for the novice lumberjacking axe, mining pickaxe, and herbalism sickle, but the carpentry station has the apprentice hunting bow and fishing pole available. Both are listed as Apprentice stations so one of them has to be bugged.
i think so
How do I go about getting a good amount of flax? I tired growing it, but apparently that's a diff type of flax. I have been looking, but only seen one plant growing in the world.
the stations are listed as apprentice, so it's probably the weaponsmith station that's bugged and the recipes need to be added.
Yes, it used to be that Flax from Farming could be used in Tailoring. It seems not now. AFAIK, you have to pick it.
I have a very small QoL question. When you open the artisan skill menu (P) it always defaults to Crafting. When I'm out gathering, I would love it to remember that and open with Gathering open and Crafting closed the way it was when I last used it. Is there a setting for this, or is it just one of those things we accept and do the extra clicks each time. Doesn't seem worth a feedback note to me but curious if anyone else feels similarly.
Click gathering then click a gathering profession. It doesn’t remember categories, it opens to the last profession you had selected.
(This is pretty unintuitive and should be changed as you suggest, though)
Thanks. I was just opening gathering so I could see them all. Didn't think to click on one of the professions.
Compared to trying to find enough grem/raven/wolves to level up hunting this is not a big thing 🙂
i have a blue wolf is this any good? more speed or what
Curious question, saw quite a few people farm the level 5 goblins North East of Lionhold. How come? Is it to get Mistwood recipes or some other purpose?
But there doesnt appear to be enough of it to actually do anything, much less less up a profession
I have gotten lucky and stumbled on a 7 Flax bushes within feet of one another(twice). So, they are out there.
I usually find flax in between daffodils and snowdrop
Hey so there is a requirement set like riverlands or wilderness. But, I have recipes that will work at the same table and some that don't. Can someone direct me to some info on how that requirement system works? please and thank you
wilderness are nodes crafting that u can use even in early development of node but many of this recipes dont work
Anyone find a mystical lense recipe? I was wondering how rare it was since I got one day 1 but it was one of the bugged can't learn recipes so I sold it thinking it was completely broken and useless
oh so it's just not working. But a wilderness theoretically could be used in anvils or riverlands? Is that what it means? Also ty for answering
i hope so 😄
my mistwood weapon work on node but armor dont tested on riverlands node . dont know about anvils
That's exactly what happened to me. Okay cool appreciate you
Treasure Maps are the path to higher tier crafting/artisan. Its the main source of large amounts of high tier materials, along with silver/gold
Do I need apprentice weaponsmitging to make apprentice tools ?
Hey Guys, how do you tell if a workstation is apprentice or not?
Survey Pylon are not working ?
they never were really working
Intrepid talked about adding something in for them and the update left for upstate
thx ! I dont understand why there are still implemented
they give a very miner boost and ability to tell whats in the very small area they cover so working just not good I guess
they need to strike a balance with this though if there is too much gear drops or gear drops that are too high a level then crafting loses all meaning my suggestion has always been that mobs can only drop the most common of gear like common broze sword etc in addition to recipes for cooler stuff and crafting mats to make the cooler stuff
Instead of making combat unexciting they should introduce system design that makes everyone happy like Albion Online's where crafters make all of the gear, but drops are also very good for combat content. There's no reason that all can't be happy and get what they want out of their gaming experience. We don't need to advocate to rob Peter to pay Paul for game systems.
What does Albion do? ive never played that one
Which one is intended: T2 hunting / fishing and no T2 herb / lumber / mine, or neither, or both because the inconsistency right now is a bit disheartening
Can anyoine help me find daffodils - I swear to god they are all gone lol
they went to where P2 copper was
because a lot of miners that liked hunting for their stuff don't like the current proc only system
I have no clue what any of that means lol
I guess I figured the newbie material would be plentiful
It is you just need to go to farther off places to find it. Generally the edge of the riverlands
I know a few choice spots that I can bet have daffodils but I’ve pretty thoroughly explored for them.
I am up in halcyon - and nothing
Halcyon has some of the least gathering spawns in the riverlands. You can probably find some in between the bear caves and joeva. Basically along the south halcyon border.
does winstead on shol have the basic stations?
Thanks @limber oyster that helped
Did they ever work? Lol
Yeah it has app stations
It is possible to get roughrime at Riverlands?
No
How to craft jewelry then? Recipes arr bugged?
for Novice crafting ?? I'm a little confused about this.
Could someone link me to a good guide on crafting and trading?
I don't think there's an updated guide because the latest chnage's are so rough all around on crafters and only came in last week
can someone tell me how to actually get started with crafting before i lose my mind
lol
Oh no what did they do to crafters
idk i just started the game today. and like, im trying to figure out how to make oak timbers or whatever. says i need novice. ive got novice. i go to the station. only recipe there is weathered oak
and crafting that does nothing for me
do you need a certain level of weaponsmithing to 'see' a recipe you know? A friend gave me the Adept recipe for the Spellsword but I cannot see the option to craft it when I go to a weaponsmith station.
@fading shale this game is attempting to prompt you to explore the world and figure it out while you are doing everything else
What I've found so far with the design, is the game tends not to reward players that hard focus a piece of content
e.g. resources being several zones away from crafting stations requiring you several minutes to hours to collect low level gear
if you want to craft - be ready to be super patient
im fine with being patient. but at least show me how to get there first
hooray T3 town has T2 benches standard, that's much more convenient than previous
there are two crafting sites @fading shale atm - briarmore farms
and avelons rest or something like that
they are about 15-20 min ride from each other
oh so its not just find a bench. its go find a frigging lumber mill out in the world
and some items require you to go back an d forth
yuppp exactly
briarmore has the lumber mill
the smithy is over at avelons rest
you will find it gets VERY tiresome to go back and forth
but - this is the reason you should get a few novice bags so you can maximize your carrying
56s just to buy the sand papper for 160 mats 56 s to sand them down 1 g 12 s total now i have no money to craft the other mats needed let alone the money to make the items How does one enjoy crafting
Anyone know where I get honey:?
Honey? From an alchemy or equipment vendor, they have a materials tab in their shops
Yeah, crafting is tough. Even the most basic weapon recipe takes like 12s to craft and is only slightly better than the default wrapon
com back to anvil in 110 days
Yeah, trying to test artisan stuff on anvils is really hard
Anvil dudes, where do I promote mining to apprentice? Or do I have to run to fricken Joeva
Pretty sure Joeva but maybe in another week Kal might be operational? I know Anvil is a wip but if they wanted us to spread out they should have checked a few more things than just copy paste - eg Leatherworking station has recipes that you can't use because Grem skins
I get that crafting isn't supposed to be easy, but the time players waste travelling is going to cause a lot of people to not want to play.
Yeah, anvils has all kinds of problems rn, no artisan commissions, wrong recipes, no good poi= slow node levelling
Have they said if the apprentice weaponsmith table in Winstead is bugged or is it by design that you can't make apprentice tools?
been told there's no way to upgrade past novice in anvils. dug around for lumberjacking, couldn't find anything so I just moved my entire operation down south
So there's still no way to make the apprentice weapons yet?
Is it all apprentice benches in a t3 town? and do you have to do construction projects to make them appear or just on level up
Is that a L10 Weaponsmith unlock? That's missing the info in the Artisan Tab? Thought I saw that posted somewhere
All work benches in level 3 settlements are apprentice
But still can't seem to craft the gathering tools
You need to go to the gathering station for that I think
i think they moved them onto carpentry/weaponsmith stations but it seems people are saying theyre bugged
There aren't any more stations designated specifically for tools. Lumberjack, mining and herbalism are under weaponsmithing
Hunting bows and fishing poles are in carpentry
all apprentice benches today
Oh, maybe we just don't have the recipes yet?
i guess that makes sense in that lvl 10 is very easy to get, and in terms of getting to 50, 2 weeks to get to apprentice probs doesnt make sense
Farmed Flax can't be used to make Linen Thread - BUG big bug
I'm hoping it's just bugged because as an apprentice gatherer, I should automatically learn the recipe for my tools
Yeah I spent 8g refining 250 timber 250 copper frags and 250 daffodil
Gg all my money
I’m going to need 2000 copper fragments to get to level 10 weaponsmithing ???
Is farming station flax useless?
Yeah I made a bunch before I realized 😭
Hopefully someone in here can help me. I reached level 10 character level and a bunch of stuff appeared in the artisan list that was before X'd out. Can I now make said gear? I went to the Weaponsmith station in hammerrest outpost and I'm only still seeing initiate gear that was there previously nothing new has appeared. Do I also need to level up my weaponsmithing passed novice or?
Unless a node has apprentice workstations, you can not. SO all those people that already have apprentice in crafting have to wait until a town puts it down
where can i find out if the item in the artisanship list is apprentice or what ever?
it's now called adept in the item itself but apprentice for your artisan level.
So the x's being removed is you can equip those things not that you can make them
Ahhhhh okay that makes alot more sense
someone misinformed me and said the x is the stuff i cant make but can equip and all the other stuff is stuff i can make and equip
yeah you need the crafting level to make them not the adventure level basically
time to grind up my crafting level. One more question for you. Lets say i want to make this item below. Does the location requirment mean it needs to be in both Tabletop Mountains and Wilderness OR does it mean either in the Wilderness OR in Tabletop Mountains?
Why is Miraleth already a vessel of winsted and also why does Winstead have all of the apprentice stations up when they didn't work to build them?
I thought you could not have apprentice in more than a couple of professions at a time
I'm going to be honest no clue that's a recent addition since Tuesday and no one knows if it's working right or what wilderness actually stands for.
okay gotcha btw how do you find out what level a node is at?
apprentice stations now come with the village marketplace, and winstead vassalized miraleth when winstead became a village
map and hover over it will say
hmm someone was saying kal torhum was lvl 3 its only showing lvl 1?
im assuming rank is its level
yeah same thing
But I thought that there was always a limit on the number of apprentice stations per village?
Not anymore, now villages have all apprentice stations and settlement specialization buildings start at journeyman level
And now only weaponsmiths in Carpenters can make tools?
have you checked if you can make it but you have to use the weaponsmith station?
No from what it looks like you had to be an apprentice metal smith to make it
Do you pop processing exp scrolls when you start the processing or when you claim it? What does the "370 processing experience" even mean in the tool tip?
that is insane.. does anyone else think thats insane? for novice?
nice to see that they respect peoples time, like i need a second job, that oh yeah ill have to pay for to work
maybe white copper but when you use better stuff it goes way faster
I think so far maybe 20 Green and 40 Blue and I'm 3.5 MW
guys if you see wilted snowdrop everywhere plz harvest it so that non garbage herbs will spawn
where are you seeing it? should only spwn inside the starting towns
just outwside of KT
bug it we've had a similar problem with eroded granite in NA since P1
Wdym 3.5 mw ?
Metal working ?
Refining is super easy, but crafting is stupidly slow
It’s when you claim it
Unless Steven really went back on his words, he said Gatherers will be able to make their own tools
Are you serious?
Where was that confirmed? Not saying you're lying... but that completely contradicts everything Steven has said
You can literally check in game
Press P and go weapon smithing
They also don’t show up in the benches until you’re lvl 10 people are saying
Currently I’m rank 6 weaponsmithing and I cannot see any apprentice tools to craft
(I went to winstead which has apprentice stations )
do you have any of the gathering skills up to level 10? feeling pedantic but on EU and no village is up yet
and genuinely curious
I have level 10 in all of the gathering skills and cannot see the recipes
if they aren't on the bench that seems more like a bug because they are in the recipe book correctly
Any 10 weaponsmith can confirm ability to craft tools?
Is it possible to gather underwater things somehow? Some potion?
We cooked
Intrepid...PLEASE, for the love of the game, either do away with processing fees or lower the costs of the materials. It makes no sense to level any of them up right now just to get to adept level recipes/gear.
I’m not level 1 in fishing or hunting, but can see the app tools in the carp bench. However when I highlight over them it says requirement: apprentice, which I’m assuming is referring to carpentry apprentice
So I don’t believe that gathers can craft their own tools.
I have a feeling once they fix the weapon-smiting and add the tools back in, you would still need to be apprentice weaponsmithing to craft them
are you talking about the 10 copper shards to craft the axe and pickaxe?
for gathering tools its not carpentry apprentice, but that gathering in apprentice
Are you sure about that? If so, they do a horrible job in the UI cause it’s in the same place as carpenter requirements
you craft the tools for hunting and fishing at a carpentry bench, but you need to be apprentice in hunting or fishing to craft them
But have you confirmed that
Cause that’s what I keep hearing, but I haven’t seen anyone actually screenshot and confirmed it
nobody can craft them right now on Shol because of a bug, but that is how it works
I’ll wait and see, but I have a feeling they changed it and now only carp and weaponsmithing can only craft them
if you open your artisan window and go to carpentry and scroll to gathering tools and hover over them it will say "Requirement: Apprentice/Journeyman [Gathering XYZ]"
If that is true, they will prove they hate crafters
That isn’t proved already?
Ah okay sweet, will need to check next time I’m on
This was in the patch notes on Tuesday, Aug 26th, for the start of phase 3.
That's a good find. Benches must be bugged. They removed the specialized stations but forgot to turn them on at the others lol
I've been to the Carpentry station with Apprentice in Hunting, but not Carpentry. I was unable to craft the Apprentice Bow even with all the needed materials. The top right Apprentice text was red, while the bottom one wasn't (showing I don't have Apprentice Carpentry, but I do have Apprentice Hunting). So, yes, it seems you need to have both skills at Apprentice to craft the tools as of right now.
Hopefully this is a bug and they're trying to fix it.
That's gotta be a bug...
Unless they have some hairbrained idea that it is a good idea to combine them because they are now tradable
Hopefully they see all the complaints and can tell that they've made things 100x more difficult to obtain 💀
Just another hurdle in the craftsman journey
were all additive weapon bonuses removed from the game?
me thinks its because the boosted combat experience it gives
you refine 250 epic or legendary, and youre looking at 200k exp
Bottom one is probably the requirement to equip it. You have to be a carpenter to craft it. It is similar to how the belts and other profession clothes work. I had to be a Journeyman Armorsmith to craft profession belts and I could make them for any profession but I had to have Journeyman in that profession in order to equip it. So probably not a bug.
Mmmm, true, forgot about the whole clothing thing.
how do you even get 2 gold so early
its been almost a week i thought? could make that much with just selling glint by now
yeah, if you put all of it in it and grind a lot + waste the opportunity for caravans
who didt do that?
I didn't grind at all, just gather and craft, know lots of people doing the same, so no glint
i grinded a bit, no glint, no money but a level 10 artisan skill i cannot to make for myself atm.
grinding certain mobs gives like 1 gold an hour...
theres mobs that drop 1.5g and respawn every 15 minutes
how many grems can you slaughter an hour?
im mass selling items i craft
to players or vendors?
people pay 90 silver for an item that costs 20 silver to craft
i have like 14g rn i think
and a broodling mount
or pay 10 bucks IRL... jk don't do that
which is 15
Selling to vendors with all the processing costs feels like a loss maker this phase
vendors recipes, glint, low quality mats you farm
tier 2 gathering tools, make money easy.. im kinda thinking they left them out on purpose
I need a good way to make money so i can craft my little heart out
Hey, does anyone happen to know if https://ashescodex.com/db/item/Gear_Weapon_Dagger_2H_Coralblade is craftable or if the recipe is bugged?
do mining satchels get bigger with better quality bags? 4 slots per bag is way to little considering there is 5 diffrent ores drops from beggining with diffrent rarity u gotta leave behind majority on the loot compared to woodcutting wher eatleast u can decide what u gonna farm
no they only get better space with higher level bags. the higher rarity only adds stack size
thats what i meant ye.. i just got a little lost 😂 thanks
omg so based xD
Also is it worth making the crafting "Clothes" that i saw?
is the boost they give worth having?
<@&542059693779058748> Why is wood the only resource that maintains the same amount of space in the bag when processed?
That's like a design question. The Moderators are volunteers that don't work for Intrepid/don't develop the game. If we do answer something like that, as moderators, we're basically quoting the devs, but they haven't talked about that specifically as far as I know.
i got a question: i tried to do some gathering for some job quests and i would have needed a flower with a name starting with D.. don't remember it now. i were nowhere able to find it at all. how is that supposed to work?
any1 knows already where we can craft verdant weapons?
Because just because you turn a log into timber it's still the same size
Could argue timber should stack like wood in lumberjack bags though
All gathering bags hold more as your rank goes up. Journeyman bags, even common, hold way more
I'm sure it's posted somewhere, but I haven't found anything on the wiki, ashes codex, or reddit. How much XP does it take to level a crafting profession from 1-10? Is there a list of how much profession XP is granted from each recipe?
but its not. You have removed 'something' in the processing. And by that token why whould I need 4 whole trees to make a sword handle?
But even if it is wood, it should occupy a single slot, since it is the only result of a process that maintains the size.
No you haven't you get wood chips along with it, do you know the actual process of turning wood into timber? I assure they don't shrink in length
