for weapons, i recommend looking at either glassveil greatsword or stormcurrent greataxe. thornstrike lb/sb

petalshards also work just fine but you can specialize your rings to suit what you want

part of me wants to experiment with wand/focus on fighter but the fact there are no good wands for phys with secondary stats i like is hindering that

I feel like going Light is gonna get you in more trouble than anything else, considering at the drop of the hat, people can literally jump you and pop you.

considering the moment you press Brace on your guardian, people can take a whack at it, proc, and immediately explode you for no consequence.

Well.. i was more talking about the PVE side of things for the tank pet.. shouldn't really be running that pet in pvp much anyways so you'd probably be in heavy/medium when running Mystic or Hunter..

Just wanted to highlight the fact to them that if they wanted their Guardian to tank mobs better you need to be running mainly light armor to buffs tank pets physical mitigation

and that's exactly what I'm talking about. If you're in PvE with your guardian, you're in bigger trouble than you realize. Putting your guardian in brace for example will allow people to swing at it, crim up, and force you to also crim up, allowing them to freely jump you and pop you without any real recourse, meaning you're stuck with a group if you go for the tank pet.

therefore you'd best to be in medium or heavy gear for at least SOME survivability for the inevitable attempts of being attacked.

Yes, you need to fully "charge" the song before you switch to the next, so you're only casting one every 20 seconds or so
