Although I do not have a copy of the Shareholder Agreement, we also know that people like Caramanis was a shareholder as early as 2019 and should have had legal access to some date/records, and he was filing a writ of mandate as late as 2024 to get access.

The board is full of shady unethical people. We know this. We knew this was likely to happen when this game was pitched as "No board, No investors, Just gamers" Generally we are not surprised by any new information brought to light in regards to the board because WE KNOW this stuff happens and we tried to avoid it by joing this community

The investors and courts are being told Ashes crushed every KPI metric out there compared to other games. It crushed so significantly that the investors got greedy and tried to take the company for themselves. The problem is. If you posted about Ashes on r/mmorpg you were laughed at. If you posted about Ashes in Asmongold/Force gaming/moistcritikal's comment section or stream you were LAUGHED AT. Ashes sold in the 100's of K units in 1 month after early access steam launch. Fucking VALHEIM sold 5 million units within one month of early access launch. Valheim.. Like 30 developers in that whole studio. I've heard no reviewer mention ashes in a positive light, the best I've heard is "has potential/combats pretty good"

Part of the reason your math is not mathing is that you are attempting to add music notes and numbers.

You are comparing a release of an early access game that a person acquired for the one time cost of $19.99 that gave full access to the game to a $49.99 early access to an alpha 2 testing that does not give them any game, only one month of subscription time after which they will need to pay monthly to continue.

I know people that purchased AoC packages that had access to alpha that were waiting to play once the game actually released so I was not surprised that a $50 Steam release for access to alpha 2 testing rather than an actual game would not have super high numbers.

While I agree that the Steam launch of AoC’s alpha two testing was likely a lot less successful than some expected, we are kinda comparing apples to oranges here. Now, your point on less developers is strong as we have seen some pretty decent games put out at much less cost and quicker.

I have had both good and bad things to say about Steven but one of the good things I have heard from some of his employees that I tend to believe is that Steven cared about his employees and treated them like family. If true, perhaps this actually could have led to problems.

If Steven looked at employees as family and had difficulty making cuts that might have needed to be made, was hiring too many new family members (not literal) to give them employment, or was providing benefits well above the typical benefits paid by similar companies for these family members, perhaps this led to some financial issues.

We also have the other end of the spectrum where the MLM thug Board (yes, I understand Steven put them in this position of authority with his decisions) wanted huge sweeping illegal firings without pay last January so I cannot even imagine how Steven felt when he received the email from Aaron Bartels on Jan 8th regarding the 100+ people he might have cared about like family that stated:

Server meshing tech would have military application, Steven should apply for a grant from DHS or DARPA or something similar because imagine server meshing used on drone ware fare when everything has LIDAR built in so you have frontline real-time imaging coming in but then different zones have different numbers of trackable objects doing different things the dynamic server loading would be huge in that regard

The obvious answer here is Intrepid didnt want to lose their biggest community hence when Polar (or more of the old Enveus not all of Polar) actively encouraged their guild to exploit and we sent report after report of their exploitations its as if there was an active effort to prevent from people being able to report on them... only once the proof got so overwhelming was there any action done

Hence I understand the response of "we were trying to keep our biggest community arround and gave them more leniency" but there is clearly and with now the extra DM's available, no way were people treated equally

i personally know over 20 people who quit testing due to polar and enveus, and im just 1 guy who knew 20 people there were thousands of people who knew people who quit, they lost their highest quality tester base because of the failed abortion window licking douche canoes of polar and enveus and the like. he made an extremely bad call in that fashion because he didnt trust the process and didnt trust the community

Eeeh its big... pretty much they must have wasted 250million to make that game at minimum. So it is big enough to compare to new world, riot mmo, aoc, throne and liberty, pax dei, etc etc and even aion 2 is a big mmo.

What is not big is mmo like project gorgon, scars of honor, those 2 which seems like a 3D tibia and forgot their names, those are small mmos.

The only difference between Aion 2 and CO is because we already kind of know they are themepark mmos with content for basically 3 months for normies and 3 weeks for hardcores. Not to mention if they have p2w so basically 3 days for hardcores +p2w users.

I mean CO even in the beta test people were "pretty much max bis" in the level cap of 25 was it? and the beta was only for 3 days if i remember correctly... Imagine when it launches 😂
That game is big just because whilst it is instanced heavy and very easy, it still offer core concepts of true mmorpgs like open world bossing, exploring, questing, crafting, etc.

yall just need to broaden your concepts of what is mmorpg, because even aoc lacks many of the rpg aspects, they shout, they worked, they did not finalize in the mmo aspect, but the rpg aspect we still were lacking heavy, and i am not talking "oh content, for scheduled pvp" like many were asking, things like arena and bla bla, i am talking core build pathing, class balancing, not make just a generic build is the go and the higher the number the better you are, i was expecting things like a mage full cdr was an fireball urf mode mage, while a mage full magic power was a giga ziggs + veigar ult full builds and 2k creeps farmed when game is at 2hours game time.
Like rogue could be critical, atk speed, move speed, damage, poison dotter, cc.
So basically same class, but nobody having same build path.

Which is why I wonder if riot mmo will be able to deliver something like that, since it is possible to do such thing in league of legends until they nerf it and not possible to do it anymore.

I don't know... People tend to find in a pvp game you camping and ganking 10x consecutively toxicity, but that aint toxicity at all. It is a pvp game, which is why i find what enveus and polar did not toxic at all too. I mean... it is bad to cheat and rmt and blabla alike, but from them gaining that advantage and then using it against newbies or not even newbies but other players who are strong just not strong enough like them i dont find it being toxic from their part as well.

Toxicity for me is you slurring away enemy or ally in a game and just that, and for that you can just slur back (which is fun to do) or just mute them and report (in hopes they will get punished, but most likely wont kekw).

Now when ppl find doing pvp strategies toxic i just find it nonsense. Which is why i did not understand why people were feeling pressured by polar nor enveus and fought in their terms and losed, instead fighting in their own terms and winning... it is a open world pvp game... why the hell people would follow common war/duel/battle rules against another oponents? makes no sense to me that.

Whilst war decs being by scroll and the one who got dec, cant deny or something alike is just a dumb design from intrepid/steven side and hopefully they fix it, it is just the same case corruption is also in a dumb design and people saying people are corrupt abusers...

And i am like what is corrupt abuser? "oh they just die to a friend to not lose items" and i be like "so what?"

Which is why instead of creating such a dumb shenenigan design, just go with tibia pk system and tibia war dec system it works 100% in this situation.

PK system kill 3-4 players unjustified and then you get red skull in aoc terms kill 3-4 white names (while purple) you get corrupted. The consequences for red skull and corrupted are basically same... just in tibia a bit harsh since you lose everything you have on you and not only 2-3 items.
And if further kills in tibia like 1-2 more kills you get black skull and with black skull you can use aoe spells and you get double damage from players.

Now how tibia war dec works... You just declare war (for free) and if the enemy team accepts it then they can battle it out and just that, no need to reward or anything, just pvp for the joy of pvp and any strategy can be used, can be a schedule and meeting war, or gank battles everywhere and anywhere, just anything!

And if the enemy team does not want to accept it, welp... guilds here and in tibia have more then 500 members each... and each member has 3 free kill count to use before getting corrupted/red skull so just use your brain and have fun ganking people around the enemy guild.
And within a week your kill count reset and can go in killing spree again.

war dec is only and should be only for guilds to decide stuff for the server in a more safe manner... but it should NOT be a standard... standard is always unlawfull killing to make your point across to any enemy who tries to defy you and by all means... nothing what I said is toxicity at all.
