Here's an illustration from PTR of the Corrupted Zones that are still not in the game.

The highlighted red was how much Corruption spread over the course of a couple days. This was on PTR for a few days before it vanished back in middle November.

In the large island west of Windandsea there was a "Void Gate" this must be destroyed to push back the red zones

East of Seahook Village was another "Void Gate"

In the Red areas were filled with Anchient one mobs. "Corrupted Materials" such as Direwood, Blackvein. These could be harvested at Journeyman level for respective artisan.

You can try to wait it out, try to jump roll, but usually you'll get fixed with time. Worse can you can try to do an unstuck (this kills the charater/drops items/exp debt).

Alpha this is a bit heavy handed. If for example your younger sibling accepted this trade, and you were not around in time to stop them, or educate them. Then they got banned with no appeal. I'm certain you can see how this is a bit toooo harsh on players.

People give out stuff for free all the time, i've received things I consider "woah that is rare" for free, so it's not like it doesn't happen.
