The reason i say this is in order for an mmo to sustain a player base it needs 1 aspect that appeals to the lowest common smooth brain player that lets them turn off their brain and fight. Combat should be that out let for smooth brain gaming. if i want to come home after work and hit shit for 6 hours i should FEEEL as if im being rewarded for it. mind you i have an adept weapon and moderate armor at level 10. my ability to kill things doesnt feel rewarding enough for me to just be killing things.

Blight is the number of kills you have as corrupted. It enhances the punishment. There is a mechanic planned for its removal in game at launch that is quest or service based. That has been removed during alpha testing to make the punishment more harsh. Every kill of a "white" gives you permanent blight.

Harbinger events are not the real deal atm ? cuz it would last a week if the server worked together. Open sea is dead cuz all the island have 1% drop chance on loot that is white. Theres only a few groups going there to get a quick recipe. lawless zones dont have anything in it. theres no arena yet in cities where u can pvp ( like throne and liberty for example ) . theres no big events where u would be flagged always. all the pvp will be hopefully in Beta 😄

My Rat Nest role play the Protector Mercenary. We follow/escort Caravan/Mules. We take only 1 Crate per Caravan or 20% per Mules and we protect the Merchant/Crafter.

When someone Die by a Monster we Put our Mount on it and Hife the loot front everyone and wait the proprietary for he can take back is loot.

And we defend alwaya the One who get unfair attacked.

So what's the story with these bots in lionshold/avons end on Lyneth? Level 9-13 summoners with keyboard-smash-names and a tank summon running from node to node gathering any random resource with no regard for how it fits in their bags. Running up to the shrubs just because it's the same leaf color as a tree, etc. If you attack them they attack back and you can kill them without going corrupt.

Obviously a bot farm... But why? Why program them to fight back in pvp? Why gather everything instead of just one type of resource at a time? I'm assuming it's basically a test run/proof of concept. But if that's the case why are they running like 6-10 accounts? Wouldn't you get the bot to a useful state before scaling up?

I'm gonna make a quick post for anyone searching for this issue with keywords to search this post: desync, mob lag, mob teleporting, mob desync, hitting from range. The issue I found was I had npcap or wincap from another games DPS meter installed, it was a packet sniffer, it was causing by desync. I havent tested the full 30 min, but I have followed myself around a TON and I think its counting things like..... Im standing AFK fishing. (no movement), I run my other toon to myself, I select follow. Then I start following with the toon that was afk already for like 20 min.

In more IRL terms, yes a real life Mayor or town executive doesn't "Own" the town but they have executive power and "own" the decisisions the town makes during that time.

this is more accurate to the current situation - now consider that a single person making decisions for the node once elected will often be in a guild and will have to rely on their guild to funnel the guild's resources into the node so they can level specific buildings and services. the guild itself is basically drained while in charge of a node as nodes will de-level or not progress unless you get specific requisition orders filled

The idea is that those guilds strong enough to exert such control would have larger, juicier prizes through the castle system. Which they can generate gold from, have constant content for their bloodthirsty and a host of other issues. But since we have only partial implemention of some systems, and none of some other core. It plays and feels off, not as intended. It will get better.
