Yeah, it is different but same idea monster gets the kill avoiding the downside of corruption. I would say that if someone dies to you purpling on them you should get the debuff as it is supposed to be a penalty for it but that is also abusable. Intentional die someone gets corruption you come back with your mates from around the corner kill em and take their actually gear.

The system will never wholly protect people on either side it is by design to create drama and "stories"

Settings matter. You have to play with them. Running at high is better than running at ultra for some. Others adjust frame rates. I’ve got it running smooth-ish most of the them but I’ll still lag in towns.

Rubberbanding is a different beast. That one a vpn can help.

Exactly @timber pulsar like, getting 4 sticks is impossible the motherboard claims to support it but the real issue becomes getting 4 sticks that are the same batch, i've tried so many times for 2x48, 2x48 of different brands etc, trying to buy them at the same time but every time the version is off and it just causes failure after failure. This has to do with the XMP / EXPO because they can't get over their own pride.

In short yeah, it's definitely possible, just with a lot of patience and luck.

That is generally the case. DLSS is hardware based and utilizes tensor cores of your GPU thus putting more spread out load on your GPU driving your latency down a bit in many cases and image quality is superior to FSR in most cases. FSR was just a lousy/cheap answer to DLSS, gotta compete somehow. DLSS 4.0 on quality preset delivers image quality equivalent to native , in many cases better than native image due to added antialiasing technique. All this with higher FPS. I have been following the tech and utilizing it since DLSS 1.0 , earlier iterations were trash, starting with 3.0 is where things started to really pick up image quality vise, 4.0 with new transformer model blows everything out of water and there really isn't a reason not to use it unless its giving one issues with a specific game. It still has to be properly implemented.

heavy vs medium vs light is more about what type of defense you want to build than anything else. Heavy is all phys def, medium is split evenly, light is all mag def. You can mix and match them as much as you want to your taste. You should get at least one to 5/5 set bonus for the defense bonus.

Oh don't worry about what you have while leveling. Maintaining an armor bonus is nice but not required. Once you hit 20, try to get some combination of seafoam (light gear) and whatever heavy and you'll be set while grinding to make the really good gear

Rust with people building on spawn beach and killing nakeds is very much in the game design, in Archeage they allowed this as well, as did Lineage, as did SWG. Its not the most common thing though because eventually the devs will add in something like a level disparity debuff or increase the amount of corruption you get like Intrepid is aiming to do if they havent already. There also just isn't much benefit to killing low lvl players grinding xp.

Treasure maps should be disabled in their current state. You will have to abandon most maps you accept. If you even get it to work and get to the location, the map doesnt seem to correspond to anything in its location and you just have to walk around and dig in a grid and hope its not bugged. If you do find the treasure, the rewards are awful and cost less than the cost of obtaining the map.

Agreed. I understand this is an MMO and old school me would have loved the force grouping for the most basic things, but in todays MMO scene, its a bit dated. People love to solo progress, surround with other players in a living world, and then group up for major events. Dungeons, Raids, Crate Runs, etc. It's not a difficult concept to make a meaningful game with content for all playstyles.

Fair enough thats def the case with the gryphons lol but trying to kill spiders is a damn chore. you have to stake out your own spawn spots and hope someone doesnt steal it, and they spawn like every 3 or 4 minutes

best way to grind xp is to do commission board quests - a lot of them stack up and then you can go to an area with mobs 2-3 levels below you and just aoe them down to get quick quest completions. rinse and repeat. also gives a lot of silver and xp scrolls.

You can play completely solo without too much issues, everything just takes way longer and you have to be way more careful about over pulling. Obviously pvp is a whole different story. Even then though a group of us managed to fend off a lvl 20+ without dying as a 4 low level player group with decent builds. They ended up running away. So small group play also works.

My worry though is that people will just deathball/snowball in groups to dump on smaller groups/solo players and it will end up join the largest guild or be dumped on all day.

for spiders the Church of Seven Stars has two spawn locations inside that consistently pop 2-3 each every 3 minutes or so. always low lvl players in there but if you need spiders for the kill quest its an easy W. plus its an easy spot to lvl up hunting, there is a spider that spawns that is huntable every 2-3 groups you kill.

You have to play to your class. Mage is probably one of the harder ones to solo with, but you also output damage faster than any other class. I've never leveled mage above level 12, so listen to these others giving good advice on how to play that class
