Mate the accounts spamming in chat aren’t gold sellers. Gold sellers register on the site, and the site has chat spam accounts. You buy gold, make a ticket, and they then find a real player vendor who wants to sell the gold to you - they meet you in-game, and they post proof of trade to the site.

You’re simply never ever gonna stop this from happening so people should just accept it and move on.

Pretty much, there's claims that bans happen, there's claims a bout who is taking part in it all, there's vague evidence that can be inferred through people disappearing or changing names or posting ban messages and spys grabbing them, but at the core of it, it needs to be addressed by Intrepid themselves so that we can see who gets banned and why.

Harsh punishments are necessary for it, but the shame is also important.

Yeah, Linux is in a really good place these days. If you do, make sure you enable "compatibility mode" in Steam and set it to "Proton Experimental' so you can try to run all games. Occasionally you need to set it to a different version of proton, or use ProtonUP-QT to install one of the GE Proton versions, but most of the time stuff just works.
Unreal Engine + Easy Anticheat + Steam proton = 99% chance it will just work, unless the devs borked something.
