#Rejoining a game after refreshing/being kicked

I've had this issue on and off but after getting it again tonight I think I'd like to ask for someone to look into it.

I don't know if my tab didn't properly refresh (I like to multitask) but while playing Nonsensory, the screen didn't move to the next voting block. So I refreshed to fix it and it kicked me. When I went to log back in, it gave me the audience.

Now, I always log in with my twitch account so that confuses me. Twitch names are unique. Why the hell is the game not just giving me my spot in the game back?

for a technical answer, Twitch login is not tied to your user session -- you could be logged into the same Twitch account on multiple devices, all joined in the same game and it would work fine
Twitch login is just to prevent username trolling etc. but is not actually connected to you as a player

as for getting kicked, that is unfortunately just something that happens sometimes due to some rare oversights on Jackbox's part
feel free to submit a support ticket to Jackbox at https://support.jackboxgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=14536515644951 describing what happened (on what device, browser, etc.) and it might help them fix it in the future

yea it is impossible to be joined in two sessions at once (joining a second game from the same browser client will locally kick you from the first)

that's not true lmao

#

basic game information (room code, reconnect data) is stored in local storage, not cookies

#

they use very few cookies but it's all analytics etc. so it can be safely denied

thought you saw what happen?

#

cookies are pretty invisible

Someone got diconnected and was unable to rejoin, then when they accepted cookies in the mext game when they got disconnected theh were able to rejoin

definitely not related lol

#

correlation ≠ causation

but fair enough
