afk bot is not the same as leaverbot.

afk bot is something you can disable, but leaverbot is not.

What's the benefit of leaverbot though? If someone quits, why not let their opponent get into their next human match more quickly instead of letting them still win against a bot but dragging it out longer?

I'd assume because for the most of the playerbase a leaverbot is probably enough to still get them that win if someone disconnects at the end, or people get to reconnect early without losing too much.

I'm yet to win with the leaver bot. Wondering how many people did. People leaving late while winning situations are very rare. I was close to winning few times when the leave happened at start, but almost always the bot just completely throws against Nyrvir or any sort of bigger push. I still think it's a much worse solution than letting you ccontrol teammate's deck.

I might have won one actually, when premade teammate had a disconnect at start and then rejoined. But this also is very rare, in randos people most often just don't care to rejoin.

Of course it's worse than letting you control teammate's deck. Controlling teammate's deck would be better than playing with a random teammate 😄

Nope, it averages out for various people, e.g. newbies controlling 2 decks could be even potentially sometimes worse than if they had a bot teammate. But in most cases double controlling would yield better results. And ofc I was talking about the quality of the solution.

I have definitely won because of it, both because of my disconnecting, and because of my teammate leaving

But it does requires you to be significantly better in the match anyways, as its not as good as a normal teammate 😄
