Spamming bearvalanche is ruining the game
it should not be able to:
hit buildings permanently slow units
it shouldnt be able to be used to clear the typical pocket minions (lady infray, styxi, ect. it shouldnt be a better version of other clear spells
`it shouldnt be allowed to be wildcarded (the copies allowed modifier continues to go underutilized)

I think the real problem is that, thanks to the prevalence of shields and the quick startup time, Bearvalanch is still a much better version of fireball. I love the theme and animation of the spell, but it deals with the shields and does damage faster than poison strike.
Plus, the perma slow.
If they reduce the damage too much, it'll be useless, so it's going to be a tough act to balance.
They could make it deal damage slower?
Maybe longer duration to deal the same amount of damage so you can black hole it and save more of your units?
but then it's poison strike with extra steps
but screaming scrats and boomer are very similar
so it's fine

It's an extra benefit, though, and fairly substantial for big units that may already have slow attack times.
So I think slowing it's damage like we both suggested could work.
that would just lock down the area for longer so you couldnt spawn any puffs or anything low hp for longer which would be a buff in alot of cases not to mention if you didnt want you next minion to be perma slow u have to wait the bearvalanch timer out
True, guessing we’ll see some more nerfs since I still see it constantly.
Everyone is playing this spell. It should be the top priority for a nerf.
Agreed, nerf it. I've posted this before but just to consolidate my thoughts on how it should be changed:
- Reduce total DMG to 130
- Reduce duration (increasing dps AND travel speed).
- Make it travel in the opposite direction.
This is intended to make only possible to land 130 dmg on moving targets, keeping the card versatile but the player will have to decide whether they are using it to remove a specific unit, or to spread out the damage clearing trash mobs and apply slow to everything remaining.
Or increase its mana to 5
