why would you allow two red golems?
it might not be much for colossus but still, red golem is often played in combination with other cards that e.g. summon shrooms or give rage
Red golems not special, it's just a really big minion
Two red golems die to the same things one red golem dies to
then why is ruby mythic?
Refer to first reply, ruby is a "unique character"
Fanriel is 8 mana so wouldn't qualify by your list
Colossus is just big minion but aoe

and storm charge, mana surge + true damage does not?
Storm charge and true damage are his gimmicks, mana surge is not specific to him
The ability is more of a unique thing since having 2 covering each other in duos would be proper crap
and two stormcharging fanriels woldn't?
I wouldn't be against mythic fanriel cuz that would be a buff in his case
How do two stormcharging fanriels cover each other's weakness?
When's the last time you saw fanriel do something serious given the prevalence of things with 240 hp
Any specific reason why you'd want to disallow having 2 red golems on the field?
And why specific to fanriel
its more about the doen't let them be one shot, but still
in case of mana frenzy when you play e.g. Volco with shrooms two are kinda dangerous
having him oneshot is 💀
That means nerf lightning bolt not give fanriel mythic
that would also be an option
but that would invalidate lighting bolt existence even more
Seems to be nerfing both red golem and bolt at the same time in a weird way
maybe a rework from lightning bolt to always target highest hp card, deal true damage and do ~400dmg
Is this for balance reasons or flavor reasons, probably should keep our thought focused on one. Fanriel being mythic is a nerf because he cant revive imo. Lightning bolt is typically a non factor

maybe my problem wasn't with red golem but rather the way how lighting bolt works
having a 9 /10 mana card being deleted from the game is extreme
