if your opponent asks the cards they know in your hand (for example, the card you added off of a rota) are you allowed to tell them?

i was under the impression they are considered private knowledge whether or not you added them

If you ask specific questions, such as "What card did you add with RotA", then that info is public knowledge on the turn the card was added. You cannot ask "What cards do I know in your hand", as that is not allowed.

What is considered public knowledge changed in I think the May policy update. Basically any info that was revealed to the opponent is public knowledge it was revealed, such as cards added or flipped facedown, or even card i fo for a card banished facedown, but you have to ask a very specific question to get the info.

If I Book of moon your Blue eyes white dragon, then in battle phase I point to the now facedow blue eyes, I cant say "what is that cards defense", as thats not public knowledge, but I can say "What is the defense of Blue eyes" or "what is the defense of the blue eyes I used book of moon on", and if blue eyes was faceup that turn, that info is considered public knowledge
