The only way I can win with impulse is use it for faster barrier placement. With 5 extra seconds maybe id have a chance to hit someone. But we have bond/barrier to stop it idk haha
Other problem is alpha shield. So you can head to someone, they place barrier wait for that to end. Tele onto them then use impulse. Works for sure, but alpha is 10-12 seconds long
Impulse is fine. Does a lot of damage in 10 seconds.
That person also didnt have any mods left. If they had barrier or bond, you wouldnt have won. I mean maybe but chances are less
I guess it doesnt matter, final circle at 15 seconds would be a lot lmao. Why i suggested waiting to raise it to 15 until lvl 12ish. Then you're against lvl 12+ mods
The difference with impulse is. Once you stop it all ends. Alpha vengeance has no chill π
That build has 2 bond counters and I made him waste mods, but that's not the point. 10 seconds serious damage is more than enough. With my current level, it's 20k total damage in 10 seconds time. It's a serious weapon and gets me a lot of kills.
Other thing. Barrier doesn't stop impulse effect. Same for emp. If I fly into a barrier, I can activate impulse in the barrier.
I've melted players coming in range with their barrier active. Most players don't know this and get surprised.
You won't move but will do damage.
I've also melted damaged bs while they activated destiny. 2k a second does wonders.
Yeah I mean in the video I sent earlier. I used dart lvl 1 and impulse 11 but still won π€£ but I was like man you really have to be very strategic to win with impulse. While regen/alpha users just have that cushion feeling
Infinite health (for a few seconds) or just run away and regen shield. The other shields are like meh haha
Iv countless impulse wins under my belt. I think the duration is fine but the hp is lacking. Yes you need to be very strategic and burn the enemy mods before you attack.
Now I was thinking remove the "once you stop impulse stops" but keep you have to move in order for it to work

Just keep repair with impulse it hasn't been terrible for me its the opposite either I use it with bad timing or idk haha.
I mean the problem with all shields now is tbh hp.. Mirror with more hp would be on my top uses.. but I cant really say much about it because I dont even have it unlocked π
The problem with all shields is alpha.
Hp shields can't outtank an invincible battleship with one-shotting vengeance and almost one-shotting barrier.
Damage shields like impulse and mirror are pointless, since alpha gives invulnerability.
Even a meme strategy of eating someone's veng is often pointless, since other players will just pop alpha, if they have it

I use to use impulse in ws too but we rarely ws
Impulse's speed boost is already extremely stong in WS
The damage isnt terrible either if the shield lasts.. wink wink.. now i have high lvl suspend. Its just a lot when theres multiple enemies and cooldown isnt great. I would even say maybe lower hp, faster cooldown π
Just use it for the impulse effect
But yeah barrier bond are just gonna stop it anyway so it doesn't really matter
If stopped the barrier takes all the remaining damage

Emp should provoke an energy blast
Or just impulse be unstoppable
Impulse is my favourite PvP shield
Maybe the speed multiplier needs to faster in blue star so you can escape leaps, but I don't think the duration needs to change.

A lot of people run away from impulse like people will chase me chase me with destiny then I make them waste it and they run so fast π
Problem is trying to hit people with the impulse damage. Like you have have waste mods in order to get them, or waste their mods
That's not a problem, that's a strategy. My impulse is combined with long range attacks. It's purely for short range and endgame attacks.
