You can change the setting from “open to all” to “join by request” anytime you run a ws
And basic members who do not participate can’t see your tm anyway(probably ws chat too)

I can definitely see TM though. And I’m just popping in to a friendly corp I know is running a ws.

You can see current moves but not tm. I also went and double checked before I responded originally. There was a blog post about it and everything. If you can truly see tm somehow then it is a bug and not intended
