It is very easy to kill, it is almost unusable in any game mode ||without careful preparations and using a ton of other mods to support it||

I suggest to add one of the following active abilities to it:

  1. ModTStealth Stealth, which will last 6s-10s in Star_red, 3-4s in Star_blue, 50-60m in Star_white. Activates either manually or on automatically before the hit/destruction(auto activation could be toggled in this case)

  2. Impulse, it will temporarily increase the speed of the rocket by x4 and make it untargetable for the weapons. Activates either manually or automatically before the impact(after one bounce) or when in range of weapons, all auto-activations should have an option to turn them off. Duration: 1-2s in Star_red, 1s in Star_blue, 15m-20m in Star_white.

it's used in WS for flexible fast damage against barriered ships. i don't think it needs buffs. the trade off with being flimsy is just what is needed, so you need to decoy/emp ships you target.
no other rocket will work. only blast drones compare.

It dies in 2 dmg ticks of single massbatt(both lvl12 for example), which is 10m, which is a split second for ws, it definitely need some buff. At least more hp.

Still unplayable and if it can be used in certain circumstances doesn’t make playable. I can land it even with 1 hp and 20 au speed with support of emp or a tons drones to spam and what?

And what about other game modes? Do you have blast drones in bls?

We are making good use of it at home. It does what it's supposed to do. High level deltas can delete barriered unshielded ships. No one else can.

(obv blast drones can do a lot too)

If it had hull that could withstand mb hits, it would have been too easy to delete ships without effort.

It's important that a blazing fast, barrier piercing rocket can't get civs past a bs guarding them...
Add stealth to it like you suggested then what? Every bs needs to bring and spend emp just to not lose everything?

And Delta doesn’t delete anything unless lvl 15

It's already benefiting from an amazing perk most mods don't. It can be sent from JG without having to take one of your precious mod slots. The opportunity cost is close to 0, it's already awesome value

If you never get value of your rockets currently you're not using them right

Forcing the opponent to reposition or lock bs away from the fight is already value

No it is not free, for free you get zero, you need another mods for the rocket (dmg mod) to land damage and even in this case single emp nullifies all the efforts 🤡

I would not consider a very niche cases of hitting ppl on landing(which is not always possible) or lone squishies(which is a skill issue of an opponent)

Mods already have different stats for different stars - while I agree that Delta Rocket doesn't need buffing in White Stars (for the reasons given above), I also observe that I've never seen it used in Red Stars (and wouldn't use it myself). A buff to its hp for Red Stars so that it could survive a few more cerb shots would seem a reasonable tradeoff for the fact it's harder to use in real time (vs WS planning in Time Machine)

no reason to use delta against cerbs who have no barriers. it's a pvp weapon designed as counter to the powerful barrier mod.

for cerbs use rocket drones, omega rockets and all the other rockets you can't use elsewhere because they get barriered and emped.

Well I agree there's no reason to use Delta Rocket against cerbs currently, because it's Red Star stats are terrible.

So this thread suggests improving them, which then may give us a reason to use it against Cerbs.

i'd reverse the argument and ask for better use of all the other rockets in barrier-heavy environment, that's the bigger problem

(except rocket drones who are powerful and fast enough to launch when barriers are spent... everything else gets shot down too easily)

Except it can't hit anything without going point blank with emp, what is the point of the rocket, if you need to go in melee and have emp to use it.

Could use destiny at his point, it doesn't need emp and doing more damage

I don't consider the ally shield, it is unplayable super weak in bls

this sounds like bls specific issue.
now consider WS. a mass battery is trying to shoot up objects in your base. its guns are busy or you make them busy. you send a delta. it doesn't have alpha anymore or emp, but it or its allies still fend off with barrier.
that's a complicated but realistic use case.
even easier when a CR drops in for a visit. you don't need emp.

of course if the enemy has emp, you try to slip it in from close quarters.
that's what we did just yesterday and killed some enemy turrets in their base.
