My apologies, what I should've said is more advanced corporations bully lesser corporations by equipping their WS BS's with Alpha and Vengeance.
This will make some of you unhappy but it's for the better good, Fun WS instead of having to retreat and regroup to survive!

there should be a nerf, best for alpha duration and veng range, but not a ban

so if you see an alpha veng, hunt it down, barrier, telebond, whatever.

the counter to this in WS is to intercept these guys with alpha ships and trigger their vengs at safe distance from your other ships. bonds, barriers all help.
a rocket drone (wamped) may force them to alpha before veng if they can't shoot its rockets or don't have barrier.

The change could be no barrier with vengeance installed. I used suspend, a higher lv player shared some lv9 arts. It combined with my corporation mate's own suspend was the only thing that saved us. We also popped our drones and my miner got off a rocket as did one of the bs's
