#Make colossus a capital ship again

That sounds great, yet...don't go too crazy. I do miss the dance...bouncing in and out for fresh shields and keep a L cooking...
think of the children...
newbies encountering colo in rs5 after a couple of weeks of playing is a shock. they thought the game was easy and need to adjust. give them a fierce dark colo and they may quit in frustration.
i've seen this kind of thinking in popular mods before. veterans that are always playing want a bigger challenge, devs listen to them and newbies suddenly give up because the game/mod is too hard.
ideally as a game designer you provide a wide range of challenges with different difficulty and suitable rewards, making everyone happy
Giving them barrier or suspend would be scarier
Suspend even level one would be devastating
i think its about time we give cerbs mods to play with

They should make Cerb having their own loadout for each RS level

Colossus salvage working on all cerbs is definitely interesting, but it feels like that would either make it take forever to take down, or you'd need to put a battleship in great danger just for one colossus.
Or kite around like you are supposed to and kill the trash first making it the same total hp as without salvage. This should effect high level players more than low level players because weaker players are already forced to kite

What if colo's salvage would restore health of all cerberus ships around it after taking damage for several seconds? Like a repair drone, but multi-use and, instead of taking X amount of damage, requires taking damage for X amount of time (100% not a mbatt nerf in disguise)
Also, when I was first dealing with colossuses in rs5, I used dual laser, and had the other laser on guardians.
That makes it worse to kite around beforehand
Ok well firstly I specified salvage in drs not normal rs. Secondly it’s the same exact ttk as currently in drs assuming you start with the trash. And lastly, yeah dude they supposed to be hard not ignorable

Changing salvage's behavior back to pre-DN will definitely make it unignorable
For rs5-6 yes itll be quite a bit harder. Likely require one more bounce to reset laser again
I like this concept bc anything that makes things more focused on being good at the game instead of just outgunning things makes me like it
Having a 20k colossus in rs5-6 I think is too much of a jump in difficulty from rs4, so maybe there should be a weaker colossus for those rs levels that still has the 15k health (a "light colossus"?)
Isn’t normal rs 4 player so 12 ships as opposed to 3 in drs? I think they’ll be ok
5k health is less than a guardian, that's effectively just killing a guardian right after it

even with my WS focused build I didn't struggle soloing a colo at rs5 and 6

A 20k colossus is too difficult at rs5-6, not impossible. Yes you can get help from others, but it can be pretty hard to get a public rs with others

New players still have to go through these, and they may be turned away by the difficulty spike

Not even close. It’s the single largest hydro income for new players and for a while makes up a large portion of credits

Again, in rs7+, having 20k colossuses may be warranted/necessary. I don't think 20k colossuses belong in rs5-6 though

It does also feel like this change has the possibility of growing on me though 
in rs5-6 people dont have high enough soli yet so 3x emp wamp decoy is most viable
after you get rid of everything else, colos are trivial if you just cycle ships in and out to break ramp, or just decoy

That is also a good point. I started using mbatt + solitude really early, possibly too early depending on how you view it

you need decently high mbatt/soli before colo becomes trash
otherwise they deal a fair bit of cumulative damage and tax your shield
In rs5, I was using dual laser + impulse shield on the p5s, and in rs6 I swapped the impulse with regen. I used solitude all the time though, and I feel like that greatly helped, but an argument could possibly be made that I started using solitude too early
