won't help against the techie kid spam 😄
it's up to Cap as the adult to move their discussions elsewhere
@true barn what do you think? this is about the recent offtopic incursion, but it happened a few times in the white star channel too
I think maybe 50% of people are lost looking at it like we're speaking matrix, while it is partially on topic, I do struggle with where to talk to others about it.
Today I was told that I was off topic in off topic
That's nutty 😂
it's not really on topic, it's about some kid's coding problems.
also this is off topic in off topic, because it could be on topic in a legit channel.
I generally use WS Community Leaderboard for most discussions, but sometimes they occur here.
You poor techie
#off-topic message
This is in #off-topic
It desperately needs a home 🥺
I mean, it's off-topic when it shouldn't be - a lot of people use that for HS
Kind of hoping I don't get a warning for being off-topic in off-topic 😟 . It's always tough figuring out where that fits or if it is on or off topic. Trying to back up elo equations by explaining statistics gets an off topic warning.
Could call it nerds-offtopic
I think that would encompase the spreadsheet stuff and be suitable for when it borders on not hades' star related tech talk. Such as the reddit scraping bot I made.
But we've always had spreadsheets. You can't play HS without spreadsheets.
Just have one channel for bots, we don't want the food bots in off topic
I only do that as an interrupter to move away from bots or bad discussions.
But I see where you're going with it
so maybe we need a tech-offtopic channel
where it will occasionally be partially on topic
