#Hades Star on Linux...?

I've recently installed Linux on my old laptop as it cannot handle Windows 11 or even Windows 10. I realized steam can run on Linux so naturally I tried to install Hades Star, but I found something wrong with it.
The game installs instantly, with no data downloaded and when trying to launch, it's unable to do so with the following error message:
An error occurred while launching this game : Missing game executable - /home/redacted/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Hades' Star/hades_linux64

Is there any workaround for this? Verifying game integrity did nothing, just like reinstalling the game.

Thank you for the tip! I've tried it and now the game at least downloads, but when starting, it crashes right away with some error window detailing nothing about the crash, and instantly disappearing. :/

In the end I managed to fix it, using a method I've read online. This works, even though editing some files with supposedly the same effect didn't.

"Workaround is simple, set your launch option like this: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%"

Awesome, I have the same symptoms and I'll give this fix a try!

That didn't work for me.
