#Game disconnects permanently from the servers until phone is restarted

As title says - while rare, at random the game just fails to connect as if there was no more internet on the device. You see the red ping notification and if you try restarting the app, it gets stuck early and reports no connection.

However, everything else on the phone that requires internet works just fine. The only solution is to actually restart the phone and hope you get a different connection path of sorts? My educated guess here is the DN servers run on multiple nodes and this is the result of at least one of them failing.

This is obviously extremely game-breaking when it happens mid-drs or mid-bls.

It used to happen to me on android when battery was low. Killing the game by swiping the app away and opening it again would load the game but normally opening would make it stuck. Can't seem to reproduce right now by manually turning on power saving so dunno if it still happens.

It does seem like it happens more often at lower battery levels. Can't say for sure but I'll pay attention to it when it happens again

Sounds like a phone operating system or battery settings bug. A short term solution might be to set the app as unrestricted for battery usage.

There could also be an element of networking where some routers cut off devices at a certain strength level which could be the phones attempt to save battery. This would probably be part of your battery saving features and could also be tweaked on some routers.

Good point, I will look into my phone settings. I don't think it ever happened on PC unless my router died on me

Well, I checked my phone settings and I'm not finding anything. Today this happened in two DRS in a row. Phone battery at 39%, so nothing too weird there. Literally the DRS start and about 3-4 mins in, the game just refuses to connect. Forced to restart my phone every single time, magically fixes it and no more connection issue. Extremely frustrating.

I found the unrestricted power setting for the app, will see if this keeps happening

@exotic dawn i had this too for me it was forcing IP4 protocol and never connect using IP6 to my provider

It happend randomly again the other day. Just straight up into red wifi symbol and impossible to connect
