#Unfair kick from ranked race due to incorrect high ping detection
26 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
that video doesnt prove/show anything
I got kicked from a ranked race with “ping higher than server limit” even though my connection was stable. I’m sharing this video so you can see what happened.
ok, but that video doesnt show stability of the connection
on the other hand, you may have stable connection but high ping and get kicked anyway
as i stated in the first reply, points wont be restored
I understand, but it would be great if a solution could be found for this issue.
wifi , telephone or wired connection ? location ?
I’m using a wired connection. Turkey
we can all get a ping spike if it persists , make a help thread
can we also quickly talk about the fact that pov just caused a hugh start crash for no reason? 😄
I understand, and I want to say again that everyone here puts effort into earning points. Please consider finding a solution for this issue so no one’s effort goes to waste.
a so.ution to what ? sometimes the internet has random spikes? thats impossible to fix
I was about to make a comeback 🙂
You’re right, I agree with you. Anyway, thank you for your help. Good night!
you too
how exactly do you know your connection was stable?
I could feel it, no lag, no stutters
I agree, while I commend the idea to reduce a negative experience for customers. The kicking of customers during multiplayer, is a hack at best.
until you get wrecked by a warping car due to ping
@last wraith Better wrecked than kicked and losing rating but that is a matter of opinion.
What I am saying is, don’t allow high ping to join. Filter from the ranked list. Improve global coverage of game servers. To name a couple of ideas.
If a customer is playing at 5pm in the evening in Aus, is it the customers fault if they only have the option to join a server in Germany for RR ranked races?
In my opinion, it’s better to block registering for the event prior to joining.
Further to this, to avoid a poor customer experience, spin up servers local and that support the capacity that is required within these territories to provide proper coverage.
The current implementation doesn’t support the concept of providing DLC at a price and not providing the platform to use it without risk to the player.
