add your log files related to this crash as well.( they are made sooner than the time of dump file.)
Also did you contact the manufacture and report the crash? what did they tell you?
Sometimes letting them check and forwarding their feedback to game dev may be useful.

All RaceRoom user files (not game files!) are in

here's the log file as well, the time is around the same time as the crash log above
oh, that's funky lookin
There should be 2 log files. The other one is started with game.
found it, thanks
report your problem in this address and see what will they response be.

If you can, make a video of the proble, It may be easier for them to understand the problem.
Welp, got an email back from the support team. They simply said the wheel isn't officially supported for R3.
Did they give any time to when they start supporting the game?
Can you ask a workaround from them to make the wheel work?
I can reply when I get home for sure and report back
"I don't know what the issue with Raceroom is and why the VO Race is not supporting the game, but I assume it's the game itself which has the VO Race not implemented as an input device, so it would be their developers to blame. A workaround cannot be provided at this moment. However, we are still working on getting our hardware implemented in multiple games."
This is the response I got from em, so I guess it seems like they just haven't worked with the devs yet for getting the wheel's software integrated
if only they had sent one to be tested....
I think you need to give them an answer that the raceroom team need the SDK and their wheel to add official support profile for their wheel.
I'm apologizing for ping @static monolith.
Is there an official way for companies to contact kw-studio related to this topic?
I think he can try providing turtlebeach with a way to let them get in touch with the studio.
just to say , i contacted them when the first publicity came out , offering to test and return the wheel , but they only wanted youtubers to do reviews...
so im not really over interested by them
ahh, what a good way to cripple themselves and keep their product not as widely available
well, since its been out for some time, maybe they'd be actually willing to work with devs this time around due to the time the product has been out. Heck, at this point id be willing to donate mine for the time necessary to use for testing and usability if that would work to get the wheel working
I will ask higher up the food chain and see what can be done
Try to forward andi's comment about testing and the additional information I sent and see what their response will be.
wait a bit until i get a dev answer
copy
I call bs on that response. Raceroom is notoriously slow in adding new wheels to the game, but that doesn't stop a lot of wheels working nonetheless, without "official" support from the game. my bet is the issue is on their side
oh im fairly certain it is. i dunno if its cause of their weird display/hud that's built in to the unit that also causes issues, but you'd figure that if they themselves got complaints about it crashing or not working, that they'd look into it, and not leave it solely on the devs
can you post your .rcs file here.... docs/ my games/ simbin/ r3e/ userdata/ control settings
Did this help much or still figuring things out?
its with the devs
Awesome, y'all are the best. Here's to hoping they get an update out soon enough and work with turtlebeach
I saw the new KD3 wheel from Turtle Beach has support for RRE. Does this mean the VO is working now?
@undone pilot Apparently there was a new firmware update for the VO. Have you tried using the wheel since then?
I will check now and update shortly
Fantastic!
That's a big jump in update numbers, I'll update it now and hope for the best
Oh wow
Kinda wish they would let you know when updates are available instead of waiting for you to check
Good news, game no longer crashes and some ffb settings work, I get engine vibrations, bump amp, and gearshift effects, but not any actual ffb
I'll have to keep messing with it but maybe I turn off the strength on the wheel and just adjust it in game, or vice versa
Try to turn everything in both wheel sofware and game to the default again and check it. When you test inside game, enable FFB meter and see if you have FFB and see similar force on wheel or not.
Correct, no in game crashing!
I'm gonna delete the game and reinstall cause I put some files in from another threat that tried to get it to work. Maybe a complete clear of the files could help with something as well.
Wait, instead of deleting, do the integrity check.
Also delete your game profile in documents. Most of the time, doing this 2 is enough.
Oh raceroom AI went to holiday.
All RaceRoom user files (not game files!) are in
Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience
Just change the name of this folder "Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience" and in next start game will make new one. Later on, if you want anything such as car setup or replay files from that folder, you can copy it from older one later.
Alrighty, did all that and got the ffb meter up in game, and it's showing that the peaks are hitting the highest point on the meter but there's not much resistance.
Would I need to change anything in the damper/spring settings?
how much is "not much"? what FFB strength is set to in the game and on the wheel?
both is set to max, 100%
i get more resistance in the wheel outside of the game than i do in-game
I think there is no FFB from the game and what you feel is the wheel's own effects like damping or friction. I would try a clean reinstall of wheel drivers
if we are talking velocity one , it hasnt changed its compatability page , so it still has r3e missing from the list , first thing we looked into was the crash , this seems to have been fixed in the driver update.... but the no ffb has not , now is this a hardware/ driver issue on turtle beach side ? lets hope that they can give an explination
seeing as there latest wheel is r3e compatable
is that the velocity one or the new wheel
Look like the velocity one.

CONTROL PROFILE: Indicates whether a sim title includes a pre-configured 'plug-and-play' inputs profile, or if it needs to be manually setup by the user.
thats great as i checked the other day and it wasnt mentioned
so new updates seems to have fixed stuff ; lets keep fingers crossed for you guys
so found another fun thing. Seems like its truly an issue with coding or something with the Velocity one, as i was playing F1 24 and it kept crashing, as soon as i was able to take control of the car... huh, sounds familiar... same issue i had with r3e. turned ffb off in game, ended up working.
so from that, its looking like its a conflict between the software of the velocity one, and every game that has ffb
and you are on latest drivers ?
yep. latest updated drivers on my graphics card, pc recently updated, drivers on the wheel are all up to date.
it just seems to me that its not well done software/coding with the wheel?
ok ; id go hassle them on there support channels
