#Raceroom + LFM

This might be something worth asking on the LFM discord tbf, they have a dedicated Raceroom channel for feedback and help.
Thanks for your answer...I had already created a support ticket, unfortunately I only got the answer that I should/must create a 2nd Steam account. And unfortunately I can't create a new LFM account with my existing Steam account.
Just do a 2nd account and give that account the rights to play your main account games via the family game lend function . Best solution to the problem as far as I am concerned.
Still not sure if that fix the content issue , also not sure if you can play on the same profile in raceroom with that .
I could imagine that a dev could transfer content from one to the other account and then make the first one unavailable 🤔 maybe
All the Content?
Thanks for your help anyway
I have read that the transfer of rights of use only exists for one account and that a transfer is not possible...
his second account would be able to run the game, but it won't have the first account's content because it's not saved on Steam's side
it is possible in some selected cases. they can probably help you too
Thanks for your help!
but it's baffling that deleting your LFM account makes it impossible to use your Steam account again on LFM. how, why is this even a thing?
we prevent re-registering for permanently banned users with this
But that means that there is a database of all registered steam accounts somewhere floating about right? Doesn't it have a tag if the steam account is related to a banned account?
we don't store the SteamID for a deleted account, only a crypted hash (which we can't decrypt) , GPDR Topic
putting banned accounts and those that were deleted by the user in the same list is just as weird. or am I getting it wrong and the guy who opened the thread was banned before he deleted his account?
banned players tend to let the account deleted
that's a different thing. the question is, you store the information that tells if this particular Steam user had a relationship with your system in the past, but you can't store the information who terminated the relationship?
GDPR has been a thing for quite some time and from what you said it sounds like European companies must have a big issue with how to deal with banned users. yet, this is the first time I hear about it. I'm trying to connect the dots
We warn every User twice this is not revocable. 1st in the Deletion Request and 2nd within the confirmation message the User has to confirm
well, my question is not about what you do, but why
and I'm sorry for the tone of my comments. now I'm only confused about why it's even an issue. if this is really the only way to comply with GDPR I'm quite interested to know about that
as already written to prevent banned users from creating a new LFM account with their Steam account to avoid the ban
then why not keep only the hashes of banned users? because for now it sounds like instead of that you keep them in the same list as users who simply deleted their accounts and you can't distinguish between them
No i wasn‘t banned….
nobody was implying that, but removing your account and making a new one could in theory bypass the banning process. So it has been made impossible to use a steam account to create a new account after you deleted an old account using that same steam account
Technically I understand all this and thank everyone involved, I work in It myself and also deal with databases and identities....I'm out of luck if there's no option....but I won't be switching between 2 Steam accounts and/or buying the RR content again.
which makes no sense. in order to keep banned people away they need to only keep hashes of banned people's accounts, not all deleted accounts
I never said if it made sense or not 😄
ah, okay 😅
Hi, did you solve your problem??? I have the same one 😂
It's an LFM issue, would try it there
