I've put some time into a setup today that I will probably use in the upcoming 2.4h event.
I drive with 450Β°/20Β° steering, so take that into account.
It's drivable without TC, but I would use it for the race for sure.
Some things to improve are looking at the camber or adjusting the ARB's to preference.

My times currently with full fuel are in the mid-high 1m 47s, paired with 3.45L/ lap its enough to cover an hour of driving (34 laps).
The time trial / quali potential is in the mid-high 1m 46s, but feel free to suggest changes for quali.

LOL, nobody gonna be catching you on the straight πŸ˜‚

#

Tried the setup, cheeky half a sec improvement on my very first lap

#

270.8km/h, not sure about top speeds of other cars

nimble lintel
#

Porsche is pretty much the fastest already on default πŸ˜„

#

Poor Ferrari drivers. Was about 5kp/h slower across s/f line

Have you tried the Maclaren Evo? I did a few laps and feels good. Did low 47 with 50 liters and just a Basic low wing setup. Even with very low wing it has lots of grip out of the corners

nimble lintel
#

I tried it for three laps and spun every lap πŸ˜„

#

But I also haven't touched my rig in almost two weeks πŸ˜› All I know so far is that the Porsche seems giga. And the traction lends itself nicely to low wing setup too

uneven pumice
#

It should have a giga bop too 😁

nimble lintel
#

😭

crimson rampart
#

Lambo might be interesting, because it will be really slow I think

#

I think this newer "base bop" didnt really do what it's supposed to

uneven pumice
#

Yeah, the Lambo is not competitive in any track, also the Audi 😭

crimson rampart
#

the latter is not a big loss 😜

#

It's the only GT3 that has yet to click with my brain, even after many hours put into setups and driving it for events...

uneven pumice
#

Its great to drive. For me its the best GT3 in terms of feeling. But when i see the Times, its just slow. I think acceleration is really poor

will ferrari be somewhat useable

#

i think im most comfortable with it (besides top speeds)

Audi is actually good. 46.8 on the leadboard. Im sure there is an tenth or two

stone pollen
#

im so out of touch with gt3s 😡

#

this is what driving only gte for about a week does to you

eternal gulch
#

how do i put this setup in the game ?

crimson rampart
#

if you dont have the last two folders yet, you can go into a practise session and save a random setup

eternal gulch
#

thank you

What's the logic behind your asymmetrical dampers? Keep the rake as it should be when on the banking?

crimson rampart
#

Wanted to try adjusting slow dampers based on Alex's infos, not sure if it did much tbh.
But the higher fast dampers on the front did help with turn-in, it feels more responsive on turn-in.

nimble lintel
#

I seem to have much more effect out of meme-ing them according to what feels the best, without thinking about logic πŸ˜„ But where did you find Alex' info?

crimson rampart
#

There's one forum post about adjusting dampers and also some more hiddenℒ️ infos.

nimble lintel
#

Ah, the histogram stuff? Don't think that has ever worked in a computer game πŸ˜„

#

For max laptime that is. Cuz usually you want you dampers to contribute to specific behaviour for specific corners

#

But anyway, your setup is giga, so I doubt I can improve it much further

crimson rampart
#

I think a bit lower rear ARB would be better for the race when the tires get worn, although the difference of grip is probably not as un-settling as the differing balance from the fuel.

nimble lintel
#

Dunno, I haven't really found the fuel balance to be extremely pronounced in RR. Not compared to ACC at least. I think rear grip was mostly the limiting factor in those couple of 1h Portimao races I did a few months back, and not the front-lift understeer due to fuel. So lower rear ARB might make sense

i think i may use the audi

#

nvm, still pretty clueless on what car is even good

nimble lintel
#

But getting into the 47s with a wheel wasn't that hard. Just required a bit of a low wing setup

#

It just wasn't an easy instant 47 as in some other cars

#

From my testing (some cars more heavily tested than others), the tier list is as follows (according to my skills/preferences at least):
Tier 1: Porsche
Tier 2: Both Maccas & Audi
Tier 3: Lambo, Merc & Ferrari
Tier 4: BMW (didn't test much, so maybe laptime isn't horrible when you figure it out, but has no top speed so sucks for the race)

#

No idea what Tomas does to the Audi to make it go that quick πŸ˜› But I guess that car is also tier 1 when having a skilled driver

@crimson rampart thanks for sharing the settings. I was able to drive 1,48,059 on the keyboard

I drive with the Porsche tho hahaha

I'm 1.49 and it's too far behind that I can play, thank you

?

crimson rampart
#

You can try it, but it can be pretty unstable with the low wing.

thx

Using this setup as a mouse driver is very funny
