try playing with the settings. the screen doesn't look like 4:3 and 1024x768

try to rebind some of the keys. sometimes the game also tells me my pedals aren't connected when indeed they are 😄

What will happen if you disconnect and connect your wheel again when games in start menu? does anything show up on upper part of screen?

did you switch the wheel's mode accidentally? usually the game doesn't like when you plug/unplug your wheel while the game is running
