What happens:
I press play in steam, the game in steam turns green (like i would play it) after few sec the green icon turns grey and the play button appears again. The game didnt load up.
But if I try to start the game with 32 bit the game starts.
I dont want to play the game with 32 bit. The OtterHud dont work with 32bit and i get a white screen midracing.

- didnt helped
did you try without all third party stuff? (eg mentioned otter)
that aside, consider switching to rehud (which can be found in #📊│apps ), since otter can cause issues (like mentioned white screen)
i tried to start the game without all the third party programms, but it wont start.
here a short clip from yesterday
temmmy44 went live on Twitch. Catch up on their RaceRoom Racing Experience VOD now.
if i get to the box everything was normal again
i think the 32bit is causing the problem.
so i want to use the 64bit variant like my system
RaceRoom is the only game I cant play with 64bit
Avira Security
make sure rr isnt blocked
if its blocked the 32bit wont start too right? 🥲
i wouldnt be so sure, just make sure
even with anti vir disabled i cant start the 64bit
Hello - can you see if the 64-bit has time to write a game.log?
My Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\Log
go here
delete logs to make sure you're not confused later by old ones
start 64b
then check that folder again if it has a game.log
was there any changes to your PC since last time it worked?
the folder doesnt exist. Once i have done the instruction with deleting and verfiy the folder didnt come back
i could revert the delting part
let me check
thats from yesterday
i think with the 32 bit variant
the 64bit variant doesnt create a logf
I deleted the logs, tried to start the game with 64 bit. Game didnt launched and no logs were made
ok if the folder did not get re-created then something is killing the process before it even starts up
some anti-virus or something else?
sure Mainboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, Discs, everthing. In the past i switched components and raceroom worked fine but thats 3-4 Years ago.
I mean it fails immediately, can't even have the time to write files in my docs during initialization
Avira, tried to turn off and start the game, no changes
yep thats how it looks like
i tried to replace mscv and vcruntime dll because if i want to start the RRE64 exe i get this error:
tried moving the game to another drive? assuming you have something that flagged that exe and possibly marked the current path as "horrible, don't allow"
you what?
done it today. switched the game from one ssd to another with downloading it from the servers steam
i googled the error code.
could be this problem in my system32 but didnt helped too
any other tips or trick ?
i tried everything i have found in the internet to solve this problem
assuming its the same with windows 11, can you go to windows event viewer and check if anything shows up after trying to launch 64bit from steam?
this tab
remove the rrre64.exe and validate files, to force redownload
done it, didnt worked for me, but i can try it again.
nothing shows up. there are errors and warnings but not specific for RaceRoom. The errors are like 20 min ago. I tried to start the game and no new error or waring appeard
kk
make sure you refresh after trying to launch the game, as far as im aware it doesnt update in real time
refreshed and closed 3-4 times the window and there isnt new event in the section.
if you manually start it as administrator? (rrre64.exe)
same errorcode as mentioned before
0xc000007b Error
the application could not started correctly
press ok to close the application
no, sorry, no clue.. sounds like something is either blocking the application, or some dependency is not installed correctly or corrupted
i wont reinstall my os new. i have so many settings prepared for streaming and else.
May you have an alternative to the OtterHud?
The OtterHud causing whitescreen midracing. I posted a video if u scroll up in this thread.

I think Avira had something protecting some part of system to be use by other software. like some ini file or other thing. ( sadly can't help more, avira not working in my country anymore). it need to be white list the game or disable it setting.
For DLL error try to remove and reinstall microsoft C++ 2010 again and see does it help or no.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26999
A security issue has been identified leading to a vulnerability in MFC applications that are built with Visual Studio 2010 and ship the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package.
Ty to try to help me.
I use Avira since I got my first PC. I drove RaceRoom in the past with Avira. Today i drove 5 hours straight with 32bit and Avira.
Im just wondering why the 64bit variant wont work for me.
I reinstalled Microsoft Visuals but didnt helped.. even if I forced any Windows Update i have.
- things could have changed in Avira over the years
- 32 bit and 64 bit, from the perspective of other programs or OS, aren't "variants" of each other but two entirely different programs. so just because one works, doesn't necessarily mean the other one must work too
- Try to add both protect.exe and RRRE64.exe from x64 folder to the white list of avira internet security. If only 32bit version added before then 64 bit won't work.
- If Core isolation was enable in you windows then try to disable it and test the game again and see if it work or no.
- There is Allowed process in avira, check and see does adding this 2 file help or no.
- If you enable windows sandbox in past then check and see by chance one of top file not running in windows sandbox.
For safty try to reinstall also both 32 bit and 64 bit version of microsoft C++ up to version 2013 ( I add mine with version, maybe helpful )🤔
Felthat sent you wrong destinations, game crash logs aren't saved in administrative events, It's saved in system protocols > apps
so check that
you have to refresh it if you have done after you start event viewer
i meant anything rly, not limited to game crash logs (it doesnt sound like game crashes at all)
well I always found these log files in system protocols
will keep that in mind
i did...
I found another HUD with a dash.exe. I tried to strat the Game with the Dash and this shows up:
We all though the game wont start with 64bit, but it das (for a really short time)
So the loads up but gets killed in ther other second.
very weird, does your GPU support DX9?
should it. RX6900XT
you have 2 gpu? 🤔
I see nothing wrong on this screenshot.
That's the try to start the game in 64bit. But it won't load up. After 3 steps like in the screenshot the game closes itselfe. The try to startup the game last only 2 seconds.
webhuds and their dash.exe don't affect how the game loads
I know.. please read the whole story before comment 😉😅
