#All cars seem to feel like front-wheel drive cars.

Howdy all!

I'm experiencing a bit of an issue - I don't know if it's a 'me' issue, or if there's something I need to adjust with my wheel or within the game/setups, but I only seem to experience this in Raceroom (hopefully I'm able to describe it in a way that makes sense). All cars seem to handle like sloppy front-wheel-drive cars; I can't turn in very well at any sort of speed, and the AI (which I tend to race against) are able to blow right by me in the result, and every car seems to have a tremendous amount of lift-off oversteer, which seems to be the only way for me to navigate a turn effectively, even at slow speeds.

In case it's relevant, I use a Fantaec CSL DD Pro. I've tried changing the steering angles, but this doesn't seem to alleviate the problem at all. Is a there a technique specific to Raceroom that I should utilize that isn't used in other sims? I race every sim on the market, but Raceroom is the only one in which I have this issue.

Thanks in advance for your time!

This is most likely a skill issue tbh, it's super easy to oversteer on power as rwd is supposed to with many cars

#

Which cars have you tried so far?

can u record a short clip with the issue with inputs showed?

Yeah it was just a passing comment

If he wasn't actually driving any fwd cars by accident I would recommend braking hard then coasting into the turn instead of (trying) to trail brake and see if it still doesn't turn in

#

If it does then check brake calibration and telemetry

Sorry for the delay in responding; life started to happen after making the original post. I appreciate you guys responding, and I don't like to abuse people's time and effort.

I think I may have fixed this, but I have no idea how, to be honest. Ultimately (long story, short), it seems to be resolved with deleting and re-assigning the inputs. Using input HUD elements, I was able to see that, for whatever reason, my pedals and steering wheel were doing bizarre things; for instance, my brake and wheel inputs were occasionally registering as wildly different than from what I was actually doing. I don't know what caused this to start happening, or what was actually resolved by re-assigning them, but (for the moment, at least) things seem to have become easier to handle.

I also verified my game files, which resulted in files for both RaceRoom and Steam system files needing to be downloaded, but I'm doubtful how much this affected what was happening. Regardless, I appreciate I appreciate both of you responding. Thanks again!
