#[IDEA] For rep/rank and figuring splits

@hexed shale what was that competition you mentioned?
what if there is no laptime?
well, theres plenty of ways to go around it
would also need a system for telling apart going over white line and cutting
also
this
its like with that talk about blocking, i need some solid data
lets take last ranked champ race, i didnt do a single lap before splits were finalized
@hexed shale pls send link to your raceroom profile
check how points are calculated, you need to be in top split for most points
points decide championship winner
if you are talking about regular races, then there are no splits and even if there were, usually there is not enough players for more than one servers, which means one split/one server
2 issues i have here:
-idea of value of winning no matter what (eg mentioned tanking stats to drive worse drivers for example)
-ignoring questions, asking for solid data (eg your profile, races you mentioned)
also imo we should talk about current and future events if its about feedback 🤔 no idea whats gonna be used for next events
I am under impression that they use rep*rating not because it's the best way to evaluate someone's speed, but because it incentivizes people to take part in regular ranked races to rise their rep and rating to get into higher splits (for a championship, higher split means you get more points). This is why it's called "Ranked Championship" and not like "Raceroom Championship" or something.
or to emphesize that both stats are important
i keep taking part in top splits and i mostly dont race rankeds 😛
you could even say something opposite to your theory, one doesnt play rankeds to keep high stats 😄
for the record, i have enough racing with communities
Well, obviously if you're already in top splits, then you don't need to grind rankeds to get higher.
