You should be able to do it and set a lap in Q. At least that is how I calculate it when we went to the new format.

I did six races with a GTR3 and decided I'll do it with a DPi for a change - no practice, no quali, only an out lap and then steadily building the confidence in the race. The thing I was still surprised (even though I expected it) is, how easy Mazda can go through the traffic and how unnecessary is for GTR3s to change their driving style based on approaching DPis.

The only two corners where Mazda struggle a bit is a Variante Alta (where it can ride curbs that great) and Rivazza 1 (as you have to be an extra careful to not lock up the brakes). So yeah, the GTR3s should just drive like the DPis are almost not in the race. πŸ˜„
