#Europe GT3 - #211 / Qualifying Session Looped and Then Kick

If a disconnect happens during transition from quali to race, the server treats it as if you entered the race phase. That's why you were listed as a driver there and lost rating and rep because of that. Yes, it sucks and it was criticised many times, but so far it still works like that.
As for why there was a disconnect not once, but twice in a row, I don't know.
It is a pretty easy fix too!
🤣
Please tell us how? I'm sure r3e would love to get that answer! Also.. like explained above.. if you disconnect or get kicked during quali or race, your driver will stay in that session, that's normal else the system can't make any results.
No incidents are given until the actual start of the race!
That's no fix.. that's how it already works. 🤫
You probably had bad luck that you stayed connected during transition of session. Once the race session has started, not when the race lights go out, you get a penalty for disconnection. It will not be changed(imho) as it would make bad qualifiers quit the race without penalty. If they wanted that, they should leave during Q. Once the race session has started.. we all know it's game on. And from now on.. you also know it. ✌️
So, the fix is once the lights go green then the incidents start. that alone wouldn't work as then you can freely jump start and get no penalty 😄
why do you think the race session only starts at the green lights?
the server switches session and the race session beginns with the 1 minute countdown in the box. or better said when the server switches after the qualy.
and if you get kicked after the qualy you are counted as in the race session. it is what it is.
The fix should actually be to not get kicked! and not changing when a session starts
The fix should actually be to not get kicked!
What's easier, fix these disconnects and crashes, or change when incident points start to apply? I'd imagine, it's the latter.
Bad qualifiers can quit during quali. The way it works now, it mostly penalises those who had a disconnect or crash during quali-race transition.
@shadow vortex Would you mind sharing why you disagree with me here?
First of all.. read the above. Second, what's causing this problem? You should fix something that isn't working correct. The penalty's during race session work as designed. The crashes are what's causing this, so that should be fixed. And even if you would do it only from the start.. your game could still crash with the same result. What's next.. only starting to count penalty's after the first lap because people's game crashed during crashes in the first lap? All in all.. the crashes should be fixed.
Yes, the system works as designed, but that doesn't mean that it's perfect or that it can't cause unwanted* results when other factors are involved. (* - unwanted by devs too)
And even if you would do it only from the start.. your game could still crash with the same result.
This happens much more rare.
What's next.. only starting to count penalty's after the first lap because people's game crashed during crashes in the first lap?
Criticise it when people actually start asking for that. So far, they are asking for something very reasonable.
Call it "improvement" instead of "fix" if you're so opposed to this word.
But really, what you guys doing here is ignoring the issue and possible solutions, and instead fight over words and create absurd scenarios.
To make it simple.. my game has crashed during starting procedure.. 🤷♂️
Car setup menu doesn't load.. you click race.. during start the car setup menu does load and the game crashed. With some bad luck you might recreate it. 😉 It's a bug that I wanted to tell r3e about after they fixed/improved/spend their time on the invisible bug.
It has nothing to do with the problem we're discussing.
Sure ✌️
Do you realise they can work on several problems at once?
