2:04 to 2:05 on hards, if you're on mediums you can easily reach the 2:03s

I did a few tests and my quickest lap is 2:06:1 on hards. It's not my best for sure I just done a few tries. I guess I'm fine for a race. Is it a good strategy to start on hards full tank and do one pitstop changing to fresh hards and fill up the tank? Or I'm kinda off with all this?

You will have to change at least two tires (one axle), so you should change all 4 imo. For a 1 stop to work you will have to save some fuel as two full tanks on engine map 5 won't last for the full race

Oooh now I see that my laptime is done on engine map 3 with full tank (just for testing). But all this stuff sounds kinda too much for me and I'll mess up for sure 🙂 I don't have experience with races that long pit strategies and all that..

Then you should be good on pace

#

If you want you can do two stops, all stints on medium tires each after 30 minutes. With 60 litres per stint you should be well above what you need, fuel wise

if you are doing 05s on map 3 you will be on my pace on map 5

Remember to create a pit stop preset for tire change and refueling
For the 3 stints mediums with 60 litres that's exactly what you set your preset to
Start the race on mediums with 60L
Set the preset to refuel 60L and medium tires front and rear
Then you should be good to go

so i have rumble engines on my clubsports but i seem to be unable to drive them with simhub

simhub receives the correct data from raceroom

and the rumbles receive data from simhub (when i test the inputs manually it works)

but it does not convey the signal from the game to the pedals

It seems like something is overriding the signal, cause when i am in the car and idle i can feel the rumbles when testing them, but when revving in neutral and test them i can not feel them anymore

Sure, regarding chunks of time, you surely lost more than me. The 20 seconds lost on the first stint were due to fuel saving to reach 22 laps, the second stint was free of major mistakes until that "happening", but also not as fast as hoped

Anyway, race format can be seen at sgp, server should pop up tomorrow at 19:30 CET with 20 minutes of practice, 10 minutes of qualifying and a 90 minute race starting around 20:05 CET.

Car classes will be the Mazda DPi and the Porsche 911 GT3 R (2019).
With fuel usage and tire wear at 2x strategy will be a major factor in this fun combo at Laguna Seca

I think you're a bit more consistent, I definitely couldn't have pulled away by half a second per lap.

i nearly spun on lap 1, got about 20% suspension damage. then i had a race ending spin+crash (irl it would have been) after 10 minutes or so, adding another 10-20% suspension damage and some nice 20% bodywork damage.
so i burnt through my first set of mediums, couldn't even make them last full 30 minutes.
so i switched to hards, full tank, no fuel or tire saving and pitted with 18 minutes left for the last 35L and fresh mediums

I basically messed up my first stint by saving fuel for like ten minutes... The pace difference between hards and mediums doesn't seem to be that high on Watkins Glen.
So my approach was hards+mediums x2
Basically up to 40 minutes on hards and two short 25 minute stints on mediums

I don't know about you guys, but I don't think I'll be racing the DPi at Watkins Glen again. With the GTR3s at the Nordschleife I don't have much hope, we could get at least half a decent grid (10 cars in total or smth like that...).
I'll be looking forward to the next schedule, where we might get Paul Ricard with the chicane on the back straight, if Chris follows my calendar suggestion again. I'm not a big fan of Paul Ricard, but with DPis and GTR3s (ai) it was great fun!
Maybe we'll get a schedule, where more people might tend to join the DPi feature race.

I definitely would love to see that, but until then I want to take a break.

I think it would be nice to mimic the WEC season, so the WEC-marked tracks would be great at the times I placed them. The rest is just some random stuff I came up with, but features tracks, where multiclass is definitely possible (I raced all of them against the AI multiple times)

Of course it's nothing I can decide, but as I love these races, I thought I might suggest some stuff, maybe to even help you out a bit.

I'd also love to hear thoughts from others as well 👍

People will race only popular tracks, indeed. Same goes for popular combos/cars. If there is a popular combo on the schedule that provides more racing by being shorter races and starting earlier, so that people can make two or more races instead of just one, they won't be racing the DPi and GTR3 combo, no matter the track.

In the end it came down to the fast sweeping corners, the few heavy braking zones and slow corners and the long straight with the chicane, which made me think, the 1C-V2 layout comes closest to a short LeMans version, out of all French tracks raceroom has to offer

No, I'm not talking about what to give for each race. And for example, you get a certain number of points in two weeks and there is a chance to get a VRP. By chance, as well as in the competition, where the higher - the more chance to get. And then some racing series are empty.
And so of course for fun. But sometimes it's more fun in a good fight than riding on an almost empty track.

It is obvious that with this ranked champs weekly... importance to rate and reputation... and those monthly events RR is again on a more healthy way to improve... No spanish "big ones" here as they are not more interested if there is no people, but specially if no structured ranked exists in a competitive way (kind of matchmaking)... And one of them constantly throwing bad things against the sim... But all, go on the same... There is a lack of interesting structure to create a base... And here we go against making something, because there is not enough people... And when something just something is done on a way... some moaning a week cose they cannot race with friends for free (has anyone seen them again on a ranked?)
