#Daytona 2.4h setups: GTR3 Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R

Hi everyone, together with the P2 Daytona Prototype I'd also like to share with you my setup for the GTR3 Vette that I used to acheive a leaderboard time of 1:46.576 (currently P3 overall as of posting this) for the GTR3 class in anticipation of the RaceRoom Daytona 2.4 ranked event.
Just like last time, bear in mind that this setup was made for time trial conditions, so you will most likely need to lower fuel and revise tyre pressures in order to make it viable for Qualifying (and the Race too, but just the opposite direction with fuel load).

Some notes:

  • The best way to approach driving this car is trying to powerslide as soon as possible, preferably before you reach the apex, and maintain that throughout the rest of the corner.
  • Don't be afraid to get on the power early.
  • Avoid 1st gear in T3 as 2nd provides more than enough oomph to get you out of there faster.

While this setup works for the car in its' current un BoP'd form, just be wary that extra ballast will alter handling. All I can say is that you should play with the rear ride height in very small increments if that's the case in order to dial the car back in.

Enjoy, and here's a prayer that the Vette doesn't get nerfed too hard for those of you who will be using it. :)

Lol

We'll see about that

#

If I have time 😬, WTCR tomorrow, Daytona and IRL karting in the 27th, and yet another exam in Feb 1st

#

And that exam will be much much more difficult

Yeah I have an exam on the 27th which should be fairly easy, and on the 2nd that's a tad more difficult. I also want to qualify for MX5 and do that race too, because more racing = more fun.

I'll give a try for sure as i really struggled to find even a tenth. I think i did almost 500 laps on this track and the more i drive laps the more i loose confident πŸ˜…
I'll follow your advices and especially the one for the 2nd Gear in T4

Thanks πŸ™‚
I am not a professional to make good setup but i rather be interested of how who made it or why this one option (rear wing, suspension etc) are tuned like this.
When ill drive tonight ill sure have some questions πŸ˜…
