Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Je les ai vu dormir
This is false. An infinitive CAN block an agreement if it means that the direct object belongs to the infinitive and not the participle verb, but it does not block agreement in all cases
For reference this is the kind of rule we don't care for and apply erratically as natives
It's common for "fait" to skip any agreements in both written and spoken forms. You could hear both "elle s'est fait frapper" or "elle s'est faite frapper". My guess is the former is more common but I would probably fluctuate myself based on vibes, and I couldn't tell you which one is more correct (the former as well I guess?).
"Je les ai vus dormir" is the only form I would use however
French is cursed
As is any language and that's the beauty of it
Faire by rule blocks its own agreement if an infinitive follows it, but many people make the agreement anyways. I mostly see it when it seems like someone isn't used to using feminine in that context and seems to be hypercorrecting, but I'm sure it's not exclusive to that context
