Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I'll help you here
School French is different from Slang/Spoken French
You might hear people say t'es or y a or a negative sentence without ne
In spoken french and informal text messages etc people do that
But in exams you need to write properly like je ne sais pas and not je sais pas
Now the main thing is to follow your textbook
French can be confusing, but once you get the hang of it it's not hard.
You need to focus on grammar and be careful
Well, it seems to me sprite like you need to learn the language more. Yeah that's not a helpful answer, but that's because it's quite a wide topic, so giving an accurate answer is tricky.
You can study the grammar and vocabulary to better understand the words and how to structure/decompose a sentence. Partial immersion can also help tons, depending on your level, by reading and listening to media.
Is there anything you'd like more info on, or resources you'd like?
I thank you both for these answers. To be frank I already know what to do, it's just that the answer is kinda uncomfortable to face. As you said Flynn I just needa study more. I made it unnecessarily hard for myself by never actually sitting down and learning so I gotta do double and triple the work now😔🙏
I think I'll just skim through my previous textbooks and note down all grammar and stuff that could be helpful.
The thing that can save me are small vocabulary/grammar checkups, I just need to study for them.
I do gotta say that my teacher really isn't the best at teaching but that's not something I can change. I'll do better from now on
@light grail you play ssbu? That's cool, I'm a competitive player aswell
I'm barely competitive but I go to my locals
