Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
devoir is fine
so is using "il faut que je …"
You can say je suis obligé d'étudier
you also have the construction "avoir à" which has the same meaning as "have to" but it's generally only used in French in the negative
"you don't have to worry about that" → "tu n'as pas à t'en faire"
To emphasize on the subject you can say c'est moi qui dois étudier
On the object, you can say c'est ça que je dois étudier
To emphasize on the verb im not sure, other than using a stronger synonym or an adverb
Il faut vraiment que j'étudie
okay, thank you guys!
je suis obligé d'étudier sounds like someones forcing you to study
Just say faut que j'etudie
In English it does, in French less so
You can but there's no emphasis then
Ragebait
no?
lol you just don't like getting corrected
french is my native language as well
Get the right role then
Je te promets que c'est possible de dire je suis obligé sans qu'il y ait qqun en particulier qui te force
